I like the color of this watch! Also comes in handy if you're Irish! I remember when the Incredible Hulk used to wear it on the 80s TV show too! He always knew what time it was! Time to smash!!
Just subscribed. Great video. Clear, concise, exactly what's needed. Even though I'm watching this a year later it was useful! I just got the Mako XL Orange dial (Not sure what to call it....the Jaffa maybe?haha) last week. Like it so far. One thing though, not sure if they actually improved it or someone was feeling generous with the lume paint on the day they put this together, but it's almost as good as my Seiko SRPD51K2 which can last through the night just about. I knew it wouldn't be up to Seiko level before I got it, but I was pleasantly surprised, and getting around +6 spd, it's not so bad. My OCD made me let the watch stop totally so I could calibrate it with the atomic clock!
Just got mine today, ordered it on Saturday night but they don’t do any shipping on weekends so had to wait a bit but once it got to Monday it started to get a move on , took only 4 days to get here and I love it, I thought it looked great on the website I found it on and it looks even better in person. Would 100% recommend this to anyone who likes a big watch.

Just got 1 with the electric green bezel......70.... took off the bracelet and put a sweet soft silicone band on it..... my new favorite... this is my 5th Orient..the makos are too small but very nice ...as soon as I got it I Googled it and your vid came up 👍...
i have an orient ray ii with blue dial , but just absolutely loved the green xl . My wrist is 6 1/4 but idk if i should pull the trigger on the this watch
steve from mars that’s definitely your call. It’s not a huge watch and you can buy an aftermarket strap for it. If you click the link in my description and purchase you have the option of sending it back if its not right for your wrist.

So just a little fact, Epson owns both Seiko and Orient so they’re basically the same and you’ll notice a lot of parts swapping. This watch right here, the Mako is hard to beat for under 120 brand new. If you can find a Seiko diver automatic USED for under 120.00, that is possible. I own a Seiko 5 diver I bought for under 120 with similar non winding automatic movement with much better lume. The bezel is not as vibrant though on the Seiko 5 so it depends on what it is you’re looking for.
georgios pro great question. Automatic watches like this will lose or gain time from day to day, week to week, month to month. Have a watch lose 3-5 secs daily is normal. If it’s losing or gaining more than a minute weekly, I’d consider having the watch serviced. I have a few watches like that and it doesn’t bother me since it keeps accurate time in a 24 hour period.

The watch is great the Bracelet is horrible...just got mine from Joma Shop...put it on the NATO in 5 minutes...great watch poor bracelet but I knew that going in! Just put it in a NATO is my saying!

The watch is great the Bracelet is horrible...just got mine from Joma Shop...put it on the NATO in 5 minutes...great watch poor bracelet but I knew that going in! Just put it in a NATO is my saying!
Tal 3 I agree and typically say this about Seiko/Orient brand watches. It’s one of the very few downfalls of the brands.
