The Judds are an award-winning mother-daughter country duo that was really popular in the 80s and early 90s. Naomi Judd is the one singing background/ harmony. Wynonna Judd, the one singing the main vocals subsequently went on to become one of the biggest solo female stars in the 90s after her mother was diagnosed with Hepatitis C.

The Judds are super talented. Wynonna is the daughter. She is the main voice you hear. Noami is the mother, and back up vocals. Ashley Judd is also a sister. She was in several big movies late 90's or also.
Not to mention Ashley Judd had a recurring role on Star Trek.
The Judds were an American country music mom & daughter duo who had a lot of hits from the 80's-90's such as "Had A Dream (For The Heart)", "Hurt", "Mama He's Crazy", "Girls Night Out", "Love Is Alive", "Have Mercy", "Cry Myself To Sleep", "Don't Be Cruel", "I Know Where I'm Going", "Maybe Your Baby's Got The Blues", "Turn It Loose", "Give A Little Love", "Change Of Heart", Young Love (Strong Love)", "Let Me Tell You About Love", "Guardian Angels" etc. Wynonna went on to have a great solo career. Sadly Naomi (mom) passed away last year.
BRO, The Judds have that down home Southern feel to all their music-- "Grampa, Tell Me" has to be their finest example. I'm a singer and was asked to perform that song at a Memorial service. The mom died way too young, after a long fight with her disease. The Mother and Daughter has a legacy for their contribution to preserving their special brand of music.

Mother daughter team. Wynonna is the daughter singing lead & she just started touring again, after losing her mother Naomi, her back up singer. These two are GOATS of country & have many great hits. My fave is 'Love can build a bridge' & the video is really cool.

Naomi passed on a little while ago. They were a very successful mother/daughter team for many years. There is Another sister too, Ashley Judd, she is an actress. Off the top of my head , she was in the movie "A Time To Kill" with Samuel L. Jackson.
Naomi suffered from multiple illnesses, but it was her depression that got the better of her and ended by her taking her life. Wynonna is singing solo these days.
“Born to Be Blue”, “Rockin’ with the Rhythm of the Rain”, “Young Love” and “Love Can Build a Bridge” are all amazing songs! Their debut album was the first record my parents ever bought me. I was in 3rd grade.

The Judds are awesome. Check out “Turn it Loose” or “Rockin With the Rhythm of the Rain”. They are both up-tempo and fun. “Mama He’s Crazy” is slow, and so is “Love Can Build a Bridge” (but Wynonna really belts it in “Love” and it is a great message). Anyway, please do more Judds! 😁🙏🏻

RIP Naomi. This was done at the concert I was at in February, it had me in tears.
In this music video Naomi Judd the mother wore her nursing uniform that she wore from when she was a nurse. Before they made it big Naomi Judd was a nurse. In the early 90s around 1991 Naomi Judd was diagnosed with hepatitis C that she contracted when she was a nurse. She stepped out of the spotlight to get treatment for it.
1 day before the Judds were to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame Naomi Judd unfortunately died by Suicide from all the years of depression that she had. Naomi Judd was abused as a child by one of her uncles. She had Wynonna at a young age. She also had a younger daughter named Ashley Judd who is an actress.

The Judds are legend! I encourage you to dive into their catalog. Naomi Judd was a Nurse. She contracted Hep C. She struggled with it and depression. She left this world the day before they were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Naomi other daughter is actress Ashley Judd

They broke up first in 1991 because Naomi got sick and they had to stop touring as a group. Wynonna had a very successful solo career in the 90s.
They did get back together off and on through the years. Last year, they were going to do one more tour together, but Naomi committed suicide.
