God, why have you forgotten me? Psalm 42:9a

Early in my faith journey, I felt embarrassed when I experienced doubts or confusion about how God didn't seem to answer my prayers or act as I thought He should. As it turns out, over a third of the Psalms in our Bible are psalms of lament in which the writer very honestly shares their doubts, anguish, confusion, and frustration with God. Today, we discuss why lamenting with the Lord is not only okay but also an important tool God has given us.
