Oh my goodness! Does she remember the NYC Blackout in I believe July 1977, I was 22 and just started my teaching career. My boyfriend at the time got tickets for this show. We sat mesmerized and also perplexed about these rolls of toilet paper and the utter silence....... WELL I DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH WE SAW OR MISSED, BUT BAM!!!! THE LIGHTS WENT OUT IN THE ENTIRE THEATER. The show was so strange so we all just sat and waited......finally an announcer says the lights are out all over NYC..... We all giggled and sat patiently waiting to experience more toilet paper......I don't remember how long it took before we realized the show was really interrupted and NYC was in the black but I always wondered where did this show go and if we were supposed to get new tickets? Well I'm 66 now retired in SC, never married, of course he finally found someone to fall for his routine and married......but the great news is THE SHOW IS ACTUALLY COMING TO MY TOWN'S THEATER IN NOVEMBER; I have to wear double masks.....but I must go see how it ends....imagine 44 years later. The most wonderful memory I had about that night after it was ruined....was the several cars stopping for us on the 59th Street Bridge as we walked from Manhattan to Woodside (thank God we were College track athletes)......at the time I was skinny as a rail and peasant blouses were the style and these kind folks were trying to help us because they thought I was pregnant. Man has life changed.....today they'd stop because I'm about 113 lbs heavier and the track injuries have caught up with me....plus they'd probably knock us in the head and rob us. Man, this time I'll be alone in a different state, but I gotta go see this show Lord if it's in your plans. Amen
Does anyone remember being in the theater waiting for the lights to come back on???? I wonder what we missed????🙃

Honestly Words Would Be Complicated For This Show To Have, Which Is Good, It's Better To Not Have Words Sometimes.
