"If you set the bar at mediocrity & you get simple, you're gonna be happy" 🔥 V.T is that one friend/partner/mentor we all need in our lives who isn't afraid to be raw & authentic with us
The last minute talk about setting the bar high for your people, resonates very well with the biggest lesson I picked from Tom Cruise Top gun maverick movie
This is an interesting and insightful video, Vusi. High conflict conversation skill is a must-have, if one has to deal with managing people. You further broke down the 3 phases of conversations before pathing ways with someone/employee: - Outcomes and deliverables - ( courageous conversations). - Start with yellow cards and red cards clarity conversations. - Constant feedback loops. "Great teams/organizations are built by great people."
Great video, Vusi. I appreciate you taking time out of your busy schedule to share with these vital lessons. I know someone struggling with having high conflict conversations. I will have them watch this. Also Vusi, for the rest of us not managing teams, please share with us how to handle conflicts with workmates. Some people at work get unnecessarily spiteful. How do you deal with this without making a toxic environment even much worse? Thanks a lot.
Great video as always Vusi. I learned most of these skills from "The One Minute Manager" by Ken Blanchard. It mirrors a lot of what you have mentioned.
I'm in a season and space of understanding that God is choosing ppl, and everything has to be divinely connected in order for me to fulfill the plans and purposes of God about my life. It's Not even about Us, it goes beyond me and you. Everything is about purpose. There's a lot of work that needs to be done and we are running behind schedule. Every person, every connection from here onwards is a "setUp" from above. I am more Focused on what God wants me to do and less worried about what people say or think, Christians and non-Christians, its all the same. This is why I know that even You were chosen by God for me , for a bigger, greater plan....bigger than both of Us. !!!!
What about putting these 3 steps in writing and get your staff sign on them after a clear explanation. Give them a copy or put it in the office at a place they can easily access?
Sometimes you you gotta let people go coz you restructure....their position becomes redundant...So...it's outside of their performance but to with making your business more efficient...and cost effective..
please remove the background music, it just dampens the mood, even when he's just speaking about simple stuff... you can put it in when he's spitting those catchy phrases about life and advice an s*

This is timely especially for people pleasers having courageous conversations. #lessons. Thank you..
I like the outcome/deliverables approach. The conversation can also extend to compensation and rewards if framed like this. Great points!

I desired to put 2 likes, tech hasn't reached that level though

Vusi I like your videos but that background music gets in the way. I think you need to stop playing it especially in this video
the music is irritating
