Thats an awesome little car. Such a clean swap with lots of attention to detail. I temember my grandparents had one. It was a light beige color. A always liked it. I had a friend in high school whos mom had a sunbird two door that his dad put a 307 in it. Fun times!
Love it! Also thanks for showing the undercarriage. I've got a '78 Opel Buick by Isuzu sitting my warehouse that is also a T-car with thoughts on an engine swap...
Wow it's awesome!!!! I owned a 1984 Chevette 2 door coupe in cream and i loved that little car, i don't have it anymore because we couldn't find a radiator and oil pan for it, so i had to give it up sadly. But Josh did a wonderful job on his chevette!!!! Love it!!!
I also owned an 84 CS in a bright blue. It was my 1st car. I later sold it to buy a Toyota truck. It was a "Frankenstine" with parts from assorted year Chevettes, but was a good car for what it was.
What year/generation Nova spindles were used? I ask because if it's the '75-'79, which bolt onto the RWD J-car, then I'm betting I can go with bigger rotors on my build... which will have the 2nd-gen F-body 4-wheel disc brake package set inside 3rd-gen F-body 15x7 rims, possibly.

They are very cool underrated little cars. Kinda like the Gremlins, I like those too.
It’s funny.
People were tired of small block Chevy swaps until the LS swap took over. Now it’s cool to go back to the og swap.
Classic.
Yep, things come into style, then go back out. I'm a fan of any engine swap, really, but it is nice to see something other than LS every now and then.
Backyard Builds is back for Season 2!!🎉❤
Your editing was fantastic! great job brother!
Thank you, I'm trying my best to get better with every video!

Great story. LT1 great
I really wanted to film this one in person but didn't have the $700-800 for the trip. Turned out great though.
Definitely a one of a kind build!!
It suits the channel for sure!
That thing is sweet
I concure!
Its a crew cab. Too cool!
It's pretty sweet
Great car💪🏁I have a 76 chevy hatch now looking for a v6.
Nice!
Damn, that V8 fit better in there than my hooker headers v6 swap.
😆

Nice car, I want to build one of these so bad it’s not even funny!
It's definitely an underrated car for cool builds.
Dude said he wanted to be different but what he meant was he didn’t have the funds for an LS swap.
I have an LS, and honestly, im getting sick of seeing them. I think this was a refreshing build in the vast sea of turbo 5.3s
I just picked up a v8 chevette, what did you do for a front 5 lug conversion? I already have a 5 lug rear axle
This isn't my car, but I believe he said he did an s10 swap for the rear.
@@torqueracingproduction yea I have an s10 rear in mine but I’m trying to figure out how to 5 lug swap the front
@thedishman11 oh gotcha, I believe he did a Chevy Nova front suspension swap for that.
62 nova spindles with s10 front brakes. Speedway motors make the steering arm and calliper bracket.
I believe Feiro's had 5 lug and the same suspension.
Wow!!!
