Sheetal Devi is exceptionally brilliant and courageous. She is the role model of our entire India!!! Every Paralympian, no matter where he/she belongs, has taught us and inspired us the most. We are grateful that we can watch such legends and get inspired. Sheetal Devi deserves so much more... Go girl! Every Indian and the entire world is proud of you...❤🇮🇳 🇮🇳 🇮🇳 Jai Hind..
A Paralympian once told me, "It's only a disability if you let it be one". These Paralympians show that grit. I can't shoot an arrow with two arms, then first the American male (who won gold) and now the seventeen year old Indian are shooting bullseyes with their feet. They show us able people anybody can do anything and don't let anyone tells you can't because those athletes can and did. I'm going to try to watch it in Los Angeles in 2028, even I have to pay for it.
They are all awesome! A beautiful and inspiring story. Gilda Cota from México 🇲🇽 won a silver medal in shot put . She has MS and cancer. She had chemotherapy before traveling to Paris ! She is so strong 😊
Matt Stutzman should be on this list too, he is also a armless archer. He wins a gold medal by beating 2 Chinese contestants, and he breaks the Paralympics record by scoring 149 points in the gold medal match.
Incredible Czech talent David Kratochvíl in swimming S11 (nearly blind cathegory) - only 16 years old, his first paralympics and he won 1 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medal!
Some other moments - the second tallest man in the world leading Iran to get the Sitting Volleyball gold medal and keeping his team unbeaten since Rio 2016 - the duel between Singaporean Yep and Mexican Aceves in the pool that ended with a hand difference...
@@beerguy177 the ILL-Abilities performed an exhibition during the breaking event they were the best in the world and featured limbless, someone on crutches too and they were fantastic. They even performed at the Paralympics opening and closing ceremony. They did a better job then her

Honestly some of the actually do need more coverage at some point. Although, is someone for vision impairment and is legally blind without wearing glasses I do have to say I think some of the sports where it's possible to compete at a high level and even be able to best those without some of the limitations should have the opportunity to compete in both it and the normal Olympics. Though I'm unaware if this is a thing or not already. As I said though for some sports where it is a bit more possible I think it would probably also help show how talented these athletes really are as opposed to not being highlighted as much.
There are some paraathletes that tried in the olympics like Pistorius and a Korean archer that, despite being technically blind, he broke the world record

No disrespect but I didn't know that midgets are a part of the Paralympics. So if I may ask are people with mental disabilities able to join? Like I'm kinda confused with the Qualifications. Because like Me I have a mental disability. But in society people don't see it as that... Sadly. So that's why I'm asking
People with intellectual disabilities are allowed to compete in swimming, track & field, and table tennis events. I don't remember all the requirements but an IQ below 75 and having the disability before age 18 are major ones. There used to be more participation, but the Spanish 2020 Paralympic Men's Basketball team scandal (gold...stripped) really munged things up causing all learning disability events to be dropped at the 2004 Paralympics. Since then, there has been a slow reintegration of this category in paralympic sports.
@@terpcj Thank you so much for explaining. I will look it up more. But this will help. I'm asking because I have Autism and if you know. You know how people see that in society
@@JJ.-BB it's not stalking when it's a public video. No you and don't delete have no life because you find the need to bully people and accuse others with false claims when you get called out for bullying.

Jodie Grinham getting gold while pregnant is such an inspiration and shows how strong women really are. 😁
I haven't watched most of the Paralympics, but I'm glad their getting the recognition they deserve. 🎉

I'd put good money on a bet that most of the paralympics competitors could still breakdance better than raygun
Just watch both opening and closing ceremony, the paralympic dancers could give gold medal winners a run for their money!
