Maravilloso conjunto. Se me saltan las lágrimas. ¡¡¡Bravo!!!
I can honestly say that Lina's interpretation really gets into the "soul" of this music - in fact the only one that I have heard that reaches there, actually. If you don't "get" what this music is saying, the music will be insipid and soulless.Bravissimo Lina!
lukas fierz agree, this is the best biber we have now, there are some very talented violinists, but lina is lina... our spanish dragon..., .the sunshine for our ears... and finally the cd of all roscr sonatas is released by lina and we can enjoy it
This is an excellent performance from Lina Tur Bonet. Lively, daring, never boring. I don't know why some choose to be negative about a clear talent. I am sure we all have our preferences, but that doesn't diminish clearly brilliant violinists like Bonet. This, along with Holloway (the gold standard, I think), Podger, and Manze, rank amongst the best interpretations of Biber I have heard. And I am sure the best is yet to come.
I also find the 2001 set by Walter Reiter and Cordaria on Signum outstanding, in what's become a crowded field. www.arkivmusic.com/classical/album.jsp?album_id=49926
The video detracts from the music and is distracting rather than enhancing. The playing is wonderful. It is great piece of music, full of drama, contrasts, excitement and passion
The last video picture at 9:00 indicates a date: 1673 (?) This date can not be from the "Rosary" pieces. They have been probably composed after 1680. Also, Biber didn't use the term "Sonata" as general title for these 16 pieces. Indeed, there is not any title in the manuscript ! The only way he used the term Sonata here, has been to indicate the introduction section of a "mystery" such as at pieces No 2, 3, 8, 9, 11, 13, 15, in the same way as Preludium and Intrada.
Saludos... gracias
Magnificent execution, even in some little imperfections, but I like this sincere and enthusiastic way of playing. May I ask if what we see at the end is the original manuscript of The Crucifiction, as is seems to be, and why the name of Schmelzer appears above it. Thank you.
What do you mean by imperfections? This is by far the best interpretation you can find on youtube. More lively, convinced and convincing than the others. For this they have to take risks. What importance have "imperfections" in this context? Are your ears dumbed down by the pseudoperfection of the CDs that are corrected ten or hundred times in the studio?
Entirely agree. I have had this recording for a few weeks and can't stop listening to it. It simply stunning. The virtuosity, beauty and soul of Lina"s playi g is utterly compelling.

Gorgeous violin playing. Love the bass notes on the theorbo!

I think the soul of Heinrich Biber came over Lina Tur Bonnet!
Most beautiful interpretation I ever heard!
Wonderful. Biber never ceases to astonish. This is music for the soul and so gloriously brought to life. Tremendous performance. Thank you.

I had the chance to meet her and listen to her playing in Chile. Such a nice person and an amazing musician! 👏🏼

She makes the lows sound so rich, it almost sounds like a Viola!

this is beyond perfect!
Virtuosa
Beautiful music. Too much video magic. Why the change from the gamba to the double bass?

Bravo!!
Just in Biber. Juas. Lo siento (sublime).

That's the manuscript for ua-cam.com/video/naE2kjFvEiA/v-deo.html, Biber's student.

+Lukas Fierz I'm with you!!!
Lukas Fiery....extremely well said!!
Entirely agree. I have had this recording for a few weeks and can't stop listening to it. It simply stunning. The virtuosity, beauty and soul of Lina"s playi g is utterly compelling.
Lindo...lindo..lindo....belíssimo ...kya baat.....
Why is her bow pointd like that? Does it change the sound?
It is a "baroque" bow, When used on gut strings gives a "more rounded" sound.
Thank you :)
Muito bom parabéns n
Wonderful.
Where can I download this!?
Beatiful piece composed by an very few known F.von Biber.
It could be said he's a very difnated antecessor of Bach
LUIS RAGEL -definitely difnated! And a bit covfefe!
07:53 😍😍😍
🔥
what's up with his finger?
almost perfect just a little less vibrato and 100% on point
+emory widman and that was just in the begining wow this is amazing :)
