I have used your videos through all of my nursing school and it has helped tremendously. Thank you for doing this. I recommend your videos to others all the time.
Nonone better than you Sarah, you truly have a gift, I’ve been a huge fan and follower for years, since I was living in PR and barely knew any English, I passed the NCLEX, first try with 75 questions in less than 2 hrs, and I have to thank you because your channel was one of my main go to, when I was struggling with a topic. God bless you, we need more Sarah’s
I agree!! I'm not in nursing school yet, but I am taking my last prerequisite before I sign up for the HESI A2 exam and I have to say You are an teacher because I watched so many blood flow of the heart UA-cam videos and I didn't understand the flow fully until I watched your video so thank you so much for all your help, I have watched plenty of your videos since then cause the A&P of the body will be on my exam. I'll definitely watch you throughout my nursing program journey and beyond! 😊
I don't usually comment on UA-cam videos but I've tired SO MANY ways to learn this but nothing has ever worked for me until I watched this !! Thanks a bunch!! You are VERY underrated and deserve WAY more subscribers!!!
I’ve never commented on videos before, but I just HAD to leave you a comment! I just recently got a job as a telemetry monitor tech, and had to take my Dysrhythmia Test. I had to take a 2 day Dysrhythmia class, and was SO lost & confused, but after watching all of your videos on heart rhythms, I passed my test with 100% (and as a telemetry tech I’m required to pass with a 90% and all the nurses in the hospital are only required to make a 84%)! Thank you SO much for all your videos, they’re so easy to understand!
40 minutes of watching your videos make more sense and easier to remember than 16 hours of class times and reading. thank you so much!!! You make nursing school much more tolerable!
The word AMAZING does not even start to describe how good you are!! You are EXCEPTIONAL, you make everything sound easy, you actually make it easy and explain things so harmonically if that makes sense. THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!
OMG!!! You have saved me from failing my telemetry class with your well taught videos.. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!! You teach so well and you are detailed and easy to learn from. You are a true blessing! I cannot express how you have helped me. I was sooo lost. Thank you again. I soo appreciate your knowledge and wisdom in this area.
Hello Lisa :) I just wanted to personally say THANK YOU for taking the time to leave such a kind comment. I'm so glad I could help you out! I wish you the best in your telemetry class :)
I received a perfect score on my AV Heart Block assignment and that is because of your videos. You explain everything so much better and detailed than the book. I just appreciate your help so much. You are true inspiration for not giving up no matter how hard the work is. Wait, did I tell you thank you? lol. Thank you thank you thank you!!!!
Yay! That is so AWESOME to know! I'm so happy the video helped you. Thank you again for this kind comment and for following up. Comments like yours really make my day!
Sarah, every time before a test I review your videos. I know you get this a lot, but you make it simple to learn or relearn these. I appreciate you sharing and helping us be better nurses. THANK YOU for making us better, stronger and more intelligent NURSES!!! Please don't stop.
I'm from Puerto Rico and my main language is Spanish. I Love your videos because they are so easy to understand and so full of important information. Keep up! you are amazing!
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this really kind comment, Lilly. I'm so glad this video helped you...that is so awesome! I wish you the best in your studies!
Thank you, Sarah. Once again you've made the jibberish in my textbook make sense. Am in cardio and this video was recommended by another student and I have since recommended it to other students. I used your videos in GI/GU and your easy-to-understand teaching and acronyms were the reason I passed. Thank you again for making this videos. Will continue to use them and send the links to your videos to other students.
Thank you very much... you just helped me understand heart blocks in just 25 minutes. I always fell asleep in class when my teacher explained this topic because she made it complicated. You are a star !
Thank you very much Sarah! I don´t think you are aware of the amazing support you are for nursing students, and nurses wanting to learn more. Your videos are so clear, useful, short, and relevant. I really appreciate all the time and effort you invest in doing them. And I am forever grateful. Wishing you massive success in your career, you should be leading a teaching team in University!
U are the best!!! I dont really comment on youtube vedios but i have to say this vedio is the BEST!!! Your explanations were sooo easy to understand,u kept repeating important points so it would be easy to absorb and u used simple language.I FINALLY UNDERSTAND HOW TO DIFFERENTIATE HEART BLOCKS.THANK YOU SO MUCH !! May God bless you !!😘😘😘♥️
I think you one of my best teachers. I have already started learning how to insert iv properly because of your video, now I can read ecg as well too. Thank you ma'am.
ACLS recertification is due soon & the AHA pretests became stricter. EKG interpretation & emergency tx was super intense, so I dropped in to review & found you! I love the way you teach. You walk us through mazes with warmth, kindness & make it logical! Your instructional style is endearing & you shine!! As a former CNA instructor, it's not what you memorize to pass a test. Life or death matters must be internalized. You demonstrate true knowledge & share your struggles, which are now strengths. It takes a special nurse to teach with such passion & you're it! After watching one of your lessons, I immediately shared your channel with my ACLS/PALS instructor!! "The definition of genius is taking the complex and making it simple." Albert Einstein GOD BLESS!!🩺♥️🩺
This video is the best! I take my national test for ekg certification on Monday and I was so confused when interpreting these types of blocks and now I feel pretty confident! Thank you so much for taking the time to do these videos!
Graduated this December from nursing school and now preparing myself for NCLEX exam. Just like throughout the school you helped me, you are helping me now. You are an ANGEL to those who want to become NURSES.
I just wanted to let you know you are awesome, you where my teacher while I was getting my RN education, and passing my boards on the first try October of 2022, I had been an LPN for 24 years before returning to school, you break everything down so well, and make everything so easy to understand. Thank you so much for what you do.
Wow! Ive been at this for 14 years as a tele tech and just wanted a refresher to help some new tele techs understand the process. Your tutorial is excellent
Have to say - I would not have understood the AV block concept in less a time than how long your presentation lasted so thanks a lot for such a good work
You're very welcome! AV blocks are complex, and I'm glad that the allotted time in the video helped you understand the different types of them. Thank you for taking the time to watch the video and leave this kind comment. Best wishes in your studies!
THANK YOU SO MUCH for the really kind comment. I'm so happy you like the videos and that they are helping you prep for exams. I'm very honored and appreciate this comment! Thank you again!
OMG! Thank you so much Sarah. I passed my EKG test today am so happy and confident enough now identifying those ekg abnormalities . I learned so much from you. God Bless You...
Even as a new grad RN, i don't interpret ECGs often and have a test coming up for a post grad paper and till always referring to your videos. Loved you for over 5 years now!!
i just passed the ACLS. SARAH, your videos helped me a lot. I happened to watch your videos a few days before my acls and it boost my confidence during the training. God bless you
You are the savior for nursing students!!! Thank you so much for taking time to explain everything in detail. I finally understand how to differentiate heart blocks.
i happen to just click on your video about this subject matter and am so glad i did because you had explained everything very well and very understandable. now i feel confident to know the difference between all these AV HEART BLOCKS! you are AMAZING. THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR KNOWLEDGE,TIME AND EFFORT TO reach out to us who needed your help the most. am sincerely thanking you!!!
I know this was some 3 years ago, ha ha. But going through medic school and you might have heard of it by now, but for 2nd degree AV heart block type 1 we use the saying, “long, longer, longer, block, it’s a weinkebach.” Might help you in future videos. We also play your videos in medic school, so good job!
Hi Sarah, I am taking an ECG class (3 Tuesdays this month) and this coming Tuesday is my last class, followed with an exam. I really tried reading the book, but find that video's help me more. I used your videos when studying for the NCLEX and found your cardiac info videos (Yay for me!). This makes so much more sense than what I read in the book. Thank you for making these videos!
Hello :) I'm so happy you found me, and that you like my videos! Thank you so much for the kind comment! I wish you the best on NCLEX. Here are all my NCLEX review lectures: ua-cam.com/play/PLQrdx7rRsKfWwTsEG3KPPQx9rWa8AqMIk.html Every week I'm always adding new videos with review quizzes...so always keep checking back!
I have watched a lot of videos but yours is the best explanation, especially when you showed the difference between the P waves and T-waves because I get them confused and a lot of instructors don't bother to show the difference. Because when I think I am seeing a P wave, they say it's a T wave. I know the T waves come after QRS complex but I have seen some P and T waves fused together.
Thank you very much for the kind comment, Cheryl! I'm very honored to help a medical student out! I wish you the best in medical school and in your future as a doctor!
You're very welcome, Tamara :) Thank you for taking the time to watch them! I hope you ace your test! Also, thank you for subscribing to my channel ;-)
This is also a metaphor i was taught to remember this! My tutor (for my Cohort) said with first degree heart block= the metaphor is the p wave is the wife and the QRS is the husband....with 1st, he just says late at the office every night (even p waves but hes still late meaning long PR interval) with the mobits one he keeps staying later and later and later until he just doesnt show at all with mobits II type 2 he consistently is late and doesnt show at all days in a row with a third degree , the couple just no longer talk or communicate, they are on different paths, they are doing there own thing....the pacemaker is the therapist in this case! THEY HAVE TO HAVE ONE TO MAKE THE MARRIAGE LAST
I never comment on videos but omg did you make this so much easier than the BCR instructor at my hospital did! I totally get it now. Thank you SO much. I just got hired on a neuro unit and I’m learning things at a speed train rate but I won’t struggle with blocks anymore and finally feel confident to take the BSR test. Thank you!
why is it that none of my instructors are as good as you, thank you for making this video, you just helped me like you wouldn't believe! your the best!
Very Interesting!! First, I am NOT in the medical field. This type of information is VERY intrigueing to me. My story: Last week, without any warning this 57 year old man suddenly went into heartblock and within a 6 hour period went into Heart Block. No abnormalities, no heart attack, etc. - My AV node just walked off the job... There's some confusion (to me) whether I went into 2nd degree (I'm guessing type 2) or CHB. My wife and I are quite familiar with CHB for my son was diagnosed with heart block (Congenital CHB) at 26 weeks of gestation, and with much intervention and noted drop in ventricular rate with PT skips ) he was born and had his first pacer implanted when he was 2 days old (and 27 years later he is doing fine with little limitations. So, just by observing the "bedside" heart monitor while I was dizzy and losing consciousness, my wife asked my attending doc (and soon to be my regular rhythm specialist) if I had heart block ("You know about heart block?" "Yes, so when is he getting a pacemaker implant?" ) . I would like to know whether I have type 2 or 3 for my wife thought there were times where my ventricular rates actually matched (in sync) to the atrial rate (or perhaps a type 2 was "progressing" into Complete Heart Block). That is a question to my Rhythm specialist when I go to see him for my first appt. Well, for this layman, you gave me an EXCELLENT description and Difference of the first, second (type 1 and 2) , and 3rd Degree Heart block, So much so that I did well on your little quiz and recognized the differences (except for the measurement of the P-wave. No, I do not believe I will change my career late in life, but it is nice to know that I have a good (but not perfect) grasp of the degrees of heart block so I can possibly ask a more informned question to what degree I have (most likely CHB) but I'm very interested to know on a totally pragmatic level. No worries or anxiety on my part, I'm feeling great, including the day of the implant when I was no longer dealing with dizziness and loss of consciousness during syncope. You cardiologists (current and upcoming) and Cardiology RNs are incredible, and your area of expertise is so intrigueing! Great video. Thanks!!
+RegisteredNurseRN your videos are like books. Outside, not so attractive but once you listen and get into it you can really dive in and understand more :) You make it so easy too.
No, I'm sorry but I don't have one on that right now. I'll try to add that to the list of ones to get to in the coming months. Thanks again for your comment!
Thank you so much! You helped me throughout nursing school tremendously. And now that I’ll be working, I still watch your videos to review different topics. Thank you for all that you do!
I thoroughly understood the lecture the very first time because the explanation is very very clear and understandable but I must have seen this video a dozen of times and I will again watch all you videos in future too not only because you explanation is very good but just to see your beautiful face. I hope you will not mind this but this is absolutely truth.
Thank you very much for your comment! I'm so happy I can help you understand the heart better. Again, thanks for leaving a comment and for watching the video! Best wishes in your studies!
Love the way u simply n teach ECG findings.. keep it up.. u have a flair unlike so many doctors I know.. and I'm an ER Doc...was Indeed a nice presentation.
thank you thank you thank you!!! you helped me during nursing school 6 years ago and now as a new ICU nurse. I always enjoy your videos especially this one with the little pitter patter of your little one running upstairs. LOL!!!
no doubt about n i do not have any words to express about your wonderful presentation it was really a great and Decent job from your side i have not seen with such simplicity you have tried to explain all three blocks just an Amazing work god bless you... i am 1 year student of cardilogy i never understand blocks before but now everything is clear thanks a lot
Wow, thanks for this very kind comment! I appreciate it very much, and I glad I could help you understand heart blocks better. I wish you the best in cardiology and in your profession!
Again, thank you so much for taking the time to let me know the videos helped. I remember when I first learned how to interpret EKGs....it was like it all finally clicked!
I want to say a big “thank you" for teaching this confusing and difficult ECG in a simple way. You are an excellent teacher. I appreciate your teaching methods which helped to clarify many of the concepts. I look forward to watch more videos.
Thank you for simplifying this concept! I am working through EKG class for PA school and was very much needing a systematic approach. You did a great job of giving me just what I need!
+Butterfly the poet Thank you very much for the comment :) I'm honored another nurse is using my video to refresh...thank you :) I hope you have a Happy New Year!
Great Great presentation.. Thank you for the front line assault all you nurses take on daily from patients, staff and administration above you depends on your hardwork to maintain their jobs.
Thank you! Ugh, Heart blocks are my nemesis and you have explained it so well. I still need to practice, but your explanation is so understandable compared to other instructors. You are a born teacher!
yes.. after simple Nursing , i choose to watch your videos. i was looking for V-tach and V-fib in your ECG playlist but couldn't find it.. by d way thank you for all the easy to learn videos.
Thank you so much for using my videos to help you study! I currently don't have videos on this topic but will definitely add this to my "to-do" list for a future video. Thanks for letting me know you're interested in this topic :)
Thanks preparing for my Nclex in 2weeks. Heart Block came up on the review and I debated watching this. But now I think this is fun & not scary. I know I will pass becauae I use your videos to review and you are technical, easy to learn, and fun! Could not afford expensive reviews. Thank you so much for preparing me to be a good nurse in the field! And for the dreaded Nclex. Will be watching your videos for my last year of RN school as well!
What a very good presentation ,i understand this watching your video ,rather than listening to my teacher, the comparison is very detailed now i know these thank you Professor
I was looking for something that would stick in my head in understanding AV blocks and this video was just plain awesome! You did a great job. I am currently being trained as a ICU RN and was hoping to have a soft transition, this channel is great resource. I will continue watching you EKG collection. I will also recommend my colleagues to this video. peace!

Thanks!!
