    I used to be an escape artist and made my own picks.
    Best material for this is hacksaw blades. Very cheap and the perfect size and flex etc. Used ones are free too.
    I will not tell you what I used for handcuffs (even two pair behind my back with the keyholes together and thumb cuffs and then 200 feet in the air upside down on a crane in the wind + chains, ropes, combination locks and aerial jacket etc), that's a super secret. Your welcome.

    Dammit you guys are seriously like tracking my hobbies as I come across them. I just recently (well like 6 months ago) got into lock picking and made a ton of picks from hacksaw blades. Its funny I have only been able to SPP or rake the deadbolts in my house but I haven't been able to get the cheap little interior door locks like the one you guys did.

    Told a classmate how to pick the lock on her rv when she left her keys in there and her parents locked up to go to work. Paper clip did the trick and me watching too much tv.

      Depends on the lock, but, yeah, too many locks are too easy to get around, esp if you're willing to damage whatever it's in.

    I like bump keys, just like raking, only easier. But you do need the right size key for the lock for that to work. Used a bump key for my spare house key for awhile, kept me in practice and if anyone found it, chances are they didn't know how to use it.

    • @tilberry19
      @tilberry19 9 років тому +1

      raking is nice if you have that key. But SPP is quite enjoyable, sometimes FRUSTRATING, but when you get passed a touch lock it feels like drugs lol

      I was bored one evening and made a set of "Masterlock" bump keys using the old hand filing method. Took forever, but was fun enough playing around with them. The cashier who sold me the lock and files gave me the dirtiest look ever - I think she knew about bump keys anyhow.
      I'm awaiting some lock picks from Amazon and a practice lock (clear plastic)....
      I might end up making some diy lock picks for fun as well - might go look for street cleaner/old hacksaw blades...

    They sell clear see through locks on ebay so u can practice. It comes with a few different lock configurations so you can learn how to open any lock

    Now this is one video I can get behind, as I've lost a set of keys before, and have been locked out of my house in the rain, and have lost keys to a few master locks over the years.

    Nice video....however be careful to check laws in your locality...it may be illegal to have mere possession of lock pics without a license. I dont think it would matter if you keep them in the privacy of your own home or place of business but carrying in public wouldn't be smart

  • @doublebubleguy12

    If you don't mind destroying the lock and per say it has like 7 pins in the tumbler then you can do what cody did in codys lab and use a few drops of nitroglycerin and obliterate the whole lock all together...

    I looked at the MIT guide and would equate it to the eyesore sold as the guide to lock picking by eddie the wire which was too technical and hardly any real practical pictures.Also its clear you where paid by toool to mention them and they take themselves a little too seriously and charge over inflated prices for picks of questionable material and thickness also with no names on them which could mean they snap and break too easily. They also charge member fee's and dues just to associate with them, that's not something I would support.It's really sad and pathetic that you yourselves overlook other youtubers on here who teach DIY lock picking or sport picking I know that youtuber bosnianbill has a pateron account set up to let subscribers pay him or donate to his channel and I don't see appeal in that paying for a video you are watching for free.That's something you people need to consider, what I learned also came from youtube and didn't cost me a dime nor did I ever read any formal books on it.
