    This is the best thing I've ever seen, I uses to work at a high-end coffee shop before Starbucks existed in NY. We made Italian sodas and granitas.

    I love this! Perfect homemade sweet snack for my 2 young boys without worrying about them eating all the chemicals in store-bought dessert. I just purchased your cookbook and I'm so excited! I am very grateful for your channel. I grew up eating Italian foods all my life but through an ancestry DNA test learned I am majority sicilian- I have enjoyed so much going through each video and making new recipes for myself and husband and children. And you make it so easy- such a winderful teacher- Thank you!!

And Because it's from Italian style, I always wanted to watch how you do it... Thanks for sharing and introducing your husband and that video editor and your beautiful kitchen .. 🤗❤️❤️❤️

    Ciao Giovanna. I love your beautiful videos. I’m also from Sicilian origin my first holiday back to Sicily was so wonderful I had for the first time granita di mandorla it was so delicious to eat. God bless your dear lady ,you are such a wonderful inspiration to me. God bless you so much. Ciao e bouna Fortuna per tu e tua famiglia

      Thank you so much! you can make a granita di mandorla by using equal amounts of ORZATA and milk. Orzata is an almond syrup which is added to water or club soda to make a refreshing summer drink. You can find it in any Italian grocery store.

    Hi Giovanna- What a beautiful video of delicious granita recipes!!! Brings back memories from when I traveled to Italy with my parents and we ate granita and brioche at so many cafes in Sicily and Rome. Thank you for bringing us into your home with your family and sharing so many wonderful dishes!!! We love you! Tina Cavalieri and Aida and Donald Costello

    My favorite summertime treat! I, like you, also like my lemon more tangy😊, then again, I use less sugar in all of them except chocolate. I've never made that one but now I have no excuse, Thank you

    Love the idea. I have never been to Italy, although it is on my wish list. I think the chocolate or coffee, or even both together, might make a nice alternative to Christmas pudding (which I hate) with our Christmas meal. 🤗

    buon giorno! Question, isn t simple syrup equal parts water and sugar dissolved and cooled? thank you!

    • @GiovannaBelliaLaMarca
      @GiovannaBelliaLaMarca  Рік тому

      I make a light syrup with 1 part sugar and 2 parts water, but you can also make a heavy syrup with equal parts of sugar and water. Mix the sugar and water, bring to the boil, lower the heat and simmer for 5 minutes, cool to room temperature, and keep in the refrigerator until ready to use.

    Aftr the food processor is it back to to the Freezer or to the fridge? Won't it get hard again in the freezer?

    • @GiovannaBelliaLaMarca
      @GiovannaBelliaLaMarca  8 місяців тому +1

      Back in the freezer, and after the processor it will remain ready to enjoy and easy to scoop; it will not be a block of ice.

    Granita is perfect when you live in a scorching inferno like Phoenix, Arizona that lasts from June to... well... this year... Until this week (Today is 10/29/24).
    Omg xD You used the SpongeBob time stamp. ANYONE who does this is A-OK with meee!
    Correct me please... Before this video... I thought that granita was more icey... like scraped ice.
