    If you have raised handle bar make sure you reroute the clutch cable. There are problems faced by Himalayan riders who have raised handle bar but didn't reroute clutch cable. If you don't loosen the clutch cable then when you turn handle to right the clutch cable tightens, over the time it causes problem in clutch plate cause you are unknowingly pressing clutch every time you take right turn.

    • @LooseGravel
      @LooseGravel  5 років тому

      If you see I have not raised the handle much. It is about 2.5 inches and with this height increase there is tension on the clutch cable

    Nice.You can also get the silencer cover plates and master cylinder cover powder coated from Hemant.he's done it for me and it looks class+protects.To enhance the performance and increase engine life put Motul 300V.4T-15W50 and an NGK iridium plug.bike will become soundless and smooth.The GPS mount adds weight and in the event of a crash it will break the meter console and the visor.Check with Hemant also.i too have been biking for 39 years and technically educated and no bragging but mine is one of the best customized Himalayan.😊

    • @LooseGravel
      @LooseGravel  6 років тому

      Jeet Kandhari thanks buddy my take is below
      1. Silencer covers are SS so it will not rust.
      2. Yes agree on rear break cylinder cover will try doing it.
      3. Regarding the gps mount - I think you are right but anyways if there is nothing then also it will damage the instrument cluster. Infact in small impact it may save the the instrument cluster. Regarding the weight it is about little less than 500gm. I think with pannier and stay with back top box this is negligible.
      4. I will change the spark plug to NGK. If possible share the model number
      Thank you for watching. Truly respect you and your thoughts

      there are anchor fastner bolts(I am not sure what it is called though) for handle bars. Easily available on motorbike spare shops. It has a bolt which goes inside the handlebar ends and expands insides and locks and the other side it has a nut in which you can tight the weight.

    Bike looks very good.Totally understand the need for the seat cover...my cat uses it as a scratch post! But did not understand the multiplexer concept. Why not get a high current wire via fuse (and relay if required to have some control)directly from the battery which can be then branched ahead? Multiplexers I thought were used to increase IO via some communication protocol. Can you share a schematic of the circuit you used? Your presentation is also very clear and to the point.

      Rohan Rayakar - the only purpose of this is to get the positive wire to the front so that all accessories can be fitted with minimum wire and every time you don’t need to take the positive to the battery terminal.
      So what I did
      1. I took the pulse current from the back light socket. This is the goes to 86 in 5 pin relay. This is because I wanted to current to go to the box only when I switch on the ignition.
      2. Took main connection from the battery with 4sqmm wire to relay pin no 30.
      3. Took the out from 87 and took it to the box ( I am calling it multiplexer box - just to absence of a good name in my mind)
      4. Sealed the relay with silicon so that no water intake inside the relay.
      5. From the box I took out three wires - 1for the horn relay,2 for the headlight relays (which I am planning to fix) and then one for the hazzard system.
      Hope I am able to explain you what I did

    Handle bar me kya difference hai...is it wider than the stock handlebar?

    • @LooseGravel
      @LooseGravel  5 років тому +1

      it is little wider and ergonomic is little different, has vibration rod, even the weights are rubberised from inside, colour is different and scale is given at the center for perfect setting. Please check it at the showroom before you make any decision to buy. Overall in riding it gives a better posture is what i felt.
