Flew Virgin upper class in March, loved it. Flying it again in August, can't wait. The can of water in the compartment almost defeated me though, took me a minute to figure out how to open it.
Fab content, I’m already eagerly awaiting the next. The effort you put into your videos doesn’t go unnoticed- your channel deserves way more subscribers!
I'm booked from LA to LRH at the end of this month for a Christmas visit to London and Edinburgh. We booked Prem Econ seats but bid for the upgrade for all four of us. Two weeks out, there are 15 open Upper Class seats so I'm hopeful.
We are booked in upper class on a return flight to Orlando in October, we are treating ourselves. We flew on one of the A350 planes in premium in 2022 and it was lovely, but upper looks to be on a totally new level so much better than the A330. It goes without saying i'm excited
Conor, this review was great, really helpful...and you are adorable. I TOTALLY agree with your take on the fun and joy to be shared in the over-the-top Heathrow lounge. I splurged on a solo trip accord the pond last year and enjoyed myself hanging out, but it was a bit lonely. I checked out your video because I just booked another BOS-LHR trip on Virgin in Upper Class (got a good deal), and a going solo this time around too. Any chance you'll be in the lounge looking for company in late August? I'd buy you a drink any day!
Flying this leg in upper class end of this week. Excited, everything looks amazing but man...really wish they included wifi with business/upper/first class fares.
Great trip report. Liked and subscribed. Virgin Atlantic Upper Class Suite is awesome. If I were you, I'd be mad for getting a middle seat despite having booked the window seat.
I'm sure if you go through customer services, they'll give you an additional gesture of goodwill to make up for that. That being said, it would be interesting to know why Conor was moved from a window to a middle seat.
Thanks, but I would have also asked why the move from window to center. If it was entertainment issue, I never use it anyway. Was the original seat occupied ? That would tick me off.
I flew 2 months ago LHR to MIA again on A350-1000 Upper class also middle seat. The flight back was cancelled and that is another story but the ground staff were great as was your experience. However, on the LHR-MIA flight I had the same experience of chaos food service or and service over the 2 hours before landing. I had to ask to take a water and fruit off a tray in the galley while they were cleaning up eventually!
Hello Conor, your video just popped into my inbox tonight and your lovely Northern Ireland accent, combined with you being dressed very nicely but comfortably, got me watching. I have never flown Virgin Atlantic, BA, Aer Lingus and Air Canada are my usual choices. I enjoyed your video but was very disappointed that you did not get a window seat. The Lounge looked excellent. I have been traveling alone now for about 15 years and trust me, I am very comfortable now. I am originally from the West of Ireland. I do like your lovely approach to showing us exactly what we need to see and hear. Video was perfect from start to finish. Good luck on your Journeys. I have subscribed to your Channel. Have a great week.🍀✈️☕️🫖
A belated thank you for your kind comment Ruth! Thank you for subscribing and coming on the journey with me! Wishing you many more happy trips in the future 😊
Yeah I would be either , love window seat best view ever, anyway hope u have great time in New York that’s one place never visit . Can’t afford upper class virgin suite thou , thanks for sharing anyway 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Don’t worry, Conor I’ve been exactly where you have. Solo traveller felt lonely. It’s definitely good to have a companion with you. You definitely need to get yourself a man!
Can I suggest when festuring menus take the shoot horizontal to the page if the whole menu fits and do a freeze frame in edit. Shooting at an angle, even when watching on a large screen TV, the words at the top are hard to read or blurred. Otherwise great video.
Conner great video. Curious to know the excuse of moving a single passenger who booked a particular window seat to a seat in the middle….. Did they actually tell you. In my experience this is happening a lot with late bookers, not booking a seat and then demand or make an excuse on airport arrival.
Sigh...the inflight meal was underwhelming (in volume) BUT the lounge breakfast was quite satisfying. That's why I don't mind flying Economy whilst having lounge access.
@@chalayan I believe so - I was reading a recent trip report which covered the clubhouse and which said they had been removed. I understand that tables and chairs have been placed in that area.
I avoid VS Upper Class as it just doesn’t feel value for money and feels a bit tired now. I use my VS points on Air France, KLM and ANA business class.
A nice insight into Virgin Atlantic who I have never flown with - only dear old BA. I have to say it looks a lot more fun than BA all round - so a good ad for Virgin even if they didn’t give you your window seat. Well done.
I only discovered your channel today. Really enjoyed your trip report. Virgin Atlantic Upper Class is lightyears ahead of BA Club World in my opinion. It's disappointing to lose your window seat but it sounds like Virgin dealt with this really well and genuinely cared about your comfort and onboard experience. I've hit the subscribe button as I'm already looking forwards to your future uploads! ✈️
Omg will they ever change the catering. Been same same for years and that table lay up and awful bread roll holder. Sorry but BA wins hands down for improvement
You lost my interest in Virgin once you said they bumped you from your booked window seat into an centre aisle seat. I'm sorry that is completely poor customer service and no matter what they say wouldn't make it any better. You are an airline reviewer and window seat's are imperative for a good review. Either Non-Stop Dan, Noel Philips or Josh Cahill bumped you. If that was so I'd watch. Well now I have to find out so I'll watch lol. This doesn't change my mind about Virgin though.
Unless the original window seat was broken it is not ok for an airline to 'downgrade' an assigned seat. I assume some entitled people complained they wanted to sit together and some morron Virgin staff obliged. Not as if one could 'sit together' much on window seats. Anyhow, as long as you were happy with the flight.
Yes some ""moron" who has higher status with VA, rather than Connor a newbie. An airline has to look after it's frequent flyer, high yield customers first. That's life.
@@gazr9972 the moving isn't contested but Virgin's underhandedness. BA moved me several times but usually it came with an upgrade or avios compensation. The least the airline could have done is ask for permission and offer some deal. If it were the case of an overbooked flight they would have had to offer a sweetener irrespective of the pecking order they apply. I'm not unfamiliar with frequent flier perks having been BA gold for 10+ years and counting.
So true about experiencing that lounge with loved ones or friends . I totally agree it’s great to share such things
Brilliant video, looking forward to flying with them in Jan!

I love the sound of plane engines gearing up. And then the take off I always love those parts and the landing

I would not be happy being moved from a window seat to the middle of the aircraft at all. If that’s how they operate, I won’t even try them.

Do people actually workout at the Virgin lounge gym?
