This is my new favorite project. I showed my husband and we are going to the Dollar Tree tomorrow to get the cans of candy to make several of these. I have cup holders in each car door. So a front door and back door one for my car. The big box of tissue is always smashed before the box is empty and it's always a hunt to find the box. No more hunting. I've even tried a zippered plastic bag of tissues in the glove box. It not any faster getting a tissue. Thank you for this wonderful project.
Sherry, this is fabulous! I used to get a three-pack of Kleenex in boxes like this - and then they stopped stocking them around here. I was thrilled when I saw the teaser for today's video. What really struck me, though, is the care, time and effort you put into figuring out how to fold the tissues so they would come out smoothly. Hi Sherry, I saw tissues in a canister and they were 3 for 12.95 which I thought was too expensive. I just bought the tootsie roll canisters at dollar tree today and already made my first one. Following your directions, it was so easy and quick - I absolutely love it. Thank you for all you do for us! I can’t believe the beautiful crafts I have made and I owe it all to you. Yes, this is not for everyone, but for me, this is totally worth the few minutes it would take to do. So clever! I'm actually going to do this with paper towels that I pre-tear and generally just pile in a box.
I still have some of those containers. I kept them to put yarn balls in to keep the yarn clean, untangled, and less tempting for my cats to play with while still being able to use by feeding the working end thru the opening. I also reuse Wet-ones containers for the same purpose.

The tucking and turning, is going to be useful for another project I was mastering in my head. My bag canister. Lol I had one way, now with this being round container, I am gonna try laying my bags your tissue way as well for releasing. Love when we can help each other think out of the box, or perfect something we had not tried, or make our way work even better. You have just made my day. I love things in pretty containers, and organized, and matching or complimentary. So you have just gave me a new mind skill set for tissues. I may watch one more time, this time while drinking my coffee before kiddos arrive back, I want to write down your math formula. Love you use that L shape ruler or square ruler. I have one too. Great idea! I use these containers as a small garbage by the bed for Kleenex as my dogs go after the Kleenex otherwise. I haven't decorated them but, now I can have a very cute match set! Another fabulous idea! TFS! Hugs from South Dakota 🤗

If I tried to cover a canister like that with paper that has edge to edge adhesive, I’d make one hot mess. Thanks too for “taking one for the team” in figuring out how to layer the tissues prior to putting them inside.

This is too cute!!! These Tootsie roll canisters could also be used for notions (I'm also a knitter and beginner crocheter) for on the go, also crayon carrier for road trips. So many things you can repurpose these for. Gonna have to make some of these tissue holders for my friends

You could do them in 3S and put a hand sanitizer with a pump in one so you can get rid of the germs after you use the tissue!
