I was raised Catholic, and in my adult years I didn't feel close to God at all but for the last 2 years I've fasted for Lent in preparation for Easter and honestly this year I couldn't bring myself to do it because of how heartbroken I am for Palestine but I've thrown all my love and intention into Palestine and peace for Palestine. Palestinian resilience and their faith in God is what inspired me to go ahead and do my best, to dedicate my 40 days of repentance and prayer for them. I believe we will see the day Palestine will be free once again. I hope you and your loved ones have an incredible Ramadan

Amanda, decorating and celebrating maybe privileged, and it is good to acknowledge that. But in light of the genocidal erasure of Palestinians in Gaza, celebrating your faith and your culture is an act of resistance. None of us can single handedly stop what is happening but we can speak out against it, highlight and support charities and organizations helping, and boldly embrace Palestinian and Islamic culture. Embrace this month! Don't let anyone tell you it is wrong.

The thing with baking it’s a science so you have to follow recipes exactly. Measuring by weight is way more accurate than by cup esp for flour. It’s a big diff!

You know what i actually discovered your channel during Ramadhan month a year ago and started from your vlogs and channel then i found your sister's channels also, I binge watching all you and your sisters vlogs during Ramadhan and your Ramadhan vlogs made me emotional and nostalgic even though we live in a tolly different culture, country and vibes but i guess Ramadhan feels the same no matter what your ethnics are or where you at, oh i live in Indonesia ( btw, where majority of us are muslim.
Just wanna tell you, about few weeks or month ago i kept thinking about your ramadhan vlog and i missed it a lot. And now its here 😍 your newest Ramadhan vlogs and i couldn’t be more happy.

It was refreshing to hear you say that you get a bit anxious as Ramadan starts. I also feel quite overwhelmed and anxious. I suppose it is the change of routine and the expectations about all that needs to be achieved during this month. I always think there must be something wrong with me as it seems that Muslims around me say how happy they are during Ramadan. I am a convert and no one in family is Muslim. I suppose I feel a bit lonely.
Keep posting your Ramadan videos. They do cheer me up. x
Assalamu alaykum. I just wanted to say there is absolutely nothing wrong with you in feeling anxious for Ramadan. It can get overwhelming but remember to take it at your own pace and you can start off slow and increase in your acts of worship. Also remember to maximise your time and effort during the last 10 days as they are the most important. May Allah make it easy for you. Also if you could try finding Muslims in your community or go to your local mosque so you can share the joy with others so you don't feel lonely.
