You ride very safely. Very good role model tehblahman! Slowing down at any bumps 13:25 and letting biker go 14:47 , having a little 'streeetch, stretch stretch' so you don't strain any muscles, looking for potential mate 15:53, saying hi to Shawn 23:38, I admire your patience 27:45 (it was almost as if she slowed down on purpose). You should upload more trips mate :)
thats how most electric skateboarders do. its dangerous to go over 22mph speed & you don't want those bikers to get pissed they have every right to take over or yell at you from riding board on bike path.
6 years later and i found this. Reminds me i should to take it easy sometimes, explore, and enjoy everything about the ride. Minimal gear, and a chill cruise in a chill neighborhood. Reminds me when i just started out. Thanks.
Anyone else notice the Google Street Car from 9:01? What are the odds of that??? A one-in-a-million fluke!!!? And a blue citibike at 20:44 ....and that little sneak through the cars from 21:03 is the best!!!
Wow, this is actually VERY similar to my biking route to work. The fact that you went over the Queensboro Bridge no problem basically crushed the only fear I had in getting one. Thanks, man. Gonna scoop one up!
I'm saving $100 a paycheck for one...I have two older types of electric skateboards; a all terrain e-glide and a street emad...both are a lotta fun. I like the suspension board on this and the quiet wheels and much lighter duel motor set up. The traffic population is crazy where you are and inevitably somebody will eventually be on your left and make a right turn right in front of you, be careful my friend, they will most likely run off. One heck of a good bicyclist at 17:20 lol! The world is about to change big time with the advances we are making in electronics. Great video...love the real time feel. Thanks, that was insane LOL!!
Exactly, happen to me twice(cars turning and not respecting/looking at you and i had my board for about 3 weeks now. Also if you live in NYC dont buy dual + its just to fast and will never go 22mph because road is not even.
Interesting electric longboard but I like the Evolve bamboo drop through better---$1,299 and it goes 23mph. Can you push the Boosted to conserve the battery charge and expand the (15 mile?) range? Can you coast when going downhill and save on electricity that way as well? If not, these seem to be some of the limitations of the electric longboard. And how hard is it to make an emergency foot brake? Does the weight of the board make this more difficult? Thanks for sharing your commute.
Great to see what the boosted board is capable of, and the difficulties it faces along the way, my concern is that this is quite a long commute... weren't they made as a sort of "last mile" transportation, for getting to and from the subway or bus or other mode meant for longer distances... It'd be interesting to see how they hold up, and how often maintenance is needed.
Nice vid. I've ridden mine over that bridge before (Queensborough) and the traction grooves in the pavement suck. Felt like the board was going to rattle apart. I went to 97mm wheels. Better but not enough to smooth those grooves. Wish Boosted - or someone would sell a softer wheel package.
This was a super great video! What a lovely morning ride.. too bad so many people are in the way and so see whats going on around them bcs of mobile phones!! One up on this vid! :D
Nice! I also commute on my board, but from LIC to Midtown. 59th St. Bridge and going down through the city is a bit hectic so I take the long way over Williamsburg. Smooth sailing almost the whole way. How's the range on the Boosted?
Wow OdiusTV your complete dumbass, how can it ruin the board ? There's tons of electric skateboards out there and this one is the best, why is that ? OH WELL BECAUSE ITS DURABLE,COMFORTABLE,AND HAS A BOOST TO IT
+kiesha86 Definitely not! I got one and like you I'd never stepped on a skateboard before. It takes a bit of getting used to, but all it needs is some practice!
+kiesha86 perhaps you should purchase a less expensive e-board then, such as Yuneec's E-go Cruiser ($700) and LecDec ($600). the e-go has a fairly comfortable top speed (12mph) and LecDec, basically the re-brand of another e-skateboard, claims to have a top speed of 20mph but from what i can gather from the videos they posted, the board doesn't seem to be able to go that fast.
I'm getting the bajaboard. It's alterrain, has longer range, four wheel drive, pneumatic tires, suspension, can tow 100 lbs up hill, and has tip speed of 31mph based on 220.5 lbs rider weight.
I want to get one of these but the only board I've ever really ridden on is a penny board and I'm not even that great at that. I can't figure out how to pump for shit. I was thinking with the motor involved, it'd be easier for me to cruise. thoughts?
Very interesting to see a bit of NYC from a not-tourism perspective. Although, this route 5 days a week, twice a day... How many years do you expect to stay alive? Lol ;)
+Jugger Superman Best built? and Best Overall? Boosted by a long shot. Build quality is great, breaking and accelerating are the smoothest ever. I have the Boosted Single 1000W Model, I live in Boulder so not that many hills. All you need is the Single if you have anywhere from 1-5 hills in your commute. But for 300$ extra you could easily just for the Dual. TL;DR : Boosted is the best.
From a avid long boarder and downhill sliders POV you need not be so scared whilst riding ( going around people, slowing for bumps, etc.). also I don't know if all the pads you are wearing are necessary boosted boards go on max 22 not a whole lot. Also learn how to carve dude it will help you to make better turns so you don't have to get off and pick up your board, and carving itself is just fun. I get that you probably are new to longboarding and bought the board on a whim, because honestly who wouldn't want to buy one. But I think learning to ride and regular longboard would help you out a lot mate and not make you look like a novice.
i realy want a boosted Board but it costs 2 Month of Work :D i work 25 Hours a Week that means around 800 € and it cost 1500 $ that is a Crazy Price 500-600 would be complete fine !!
I am a big fan of electric skateboard but I have to say, it looks more fun than you actually ridding it. Lol When you are on the board, you need to keep the balance all the time, and especially when you rid it on the street, your brain need to be in high alert mood to keep you safe. So you will feel tired after 10 to 15 minutes of ridding. Your body will feel sour very fast. That makes it not very realistic to use it as daily commute to work, unless your commute is less than 15 minutes. When you are tired and you keep ridding, it will be extra dangerous. It’s just my two cents as someone who have paid a high price for it lol (But I am not quitting it completely).
bruh, this is like the chillest video ever.
You ride very safely. Very good role model tehblahman! "Looking for potential mate" now thats just a fucked up comment... XD XD
thats how most electric skateboarders do. its dangerous to go over 22mph speed & you don't want those bikers to get pissed they have every right to take over or yell at you from riding board on bike path.
2:22 turns head to look at girl in blue dress... The matrix was testing you and you failed
JNRdrigz also again at 15:55
6 years later and i found this. Reminds me i should to take it easy sometimes, explore, and enjoy everything about the ride. Minimal gear, and a chill cruise in a chill neighborhood. Reminds me when i just started out. Thanks.
that was far as heck and so fun, and you got there so fast, amazing, I am ordering one right now.
Anyone else notice the Google Street Car from 9:01? What are the odds of that??? A one-in-a-million fluke!!!? And a blue citibike at 20:44 ....and that little sneak through the cars from 21:03 is the best!!!
9:00 is that google road view car?
Adasiek9595 Yeah man! google maps car
Adasiek9595 yeah i saw that in my neighborhood one time and now im on google maps haha
+Adasiek9595 Where I live, we have google's self driving cars everywhere.
awsum
+Ufo Plays Self driving cars are different from the Google maps cars.
I'm a rookie riding my my boosted board any tips or advise on riding on the streets.
Awesome video, good point of view too, I almost felt I was there. Thanks for sharing.
found this kinda therapeutical.
Wow, this is actually VERY similar to my biking route to work. The fact that you went over the Queensboro Bridge no problem basically crushed the only fear I had in getting one. Thanks, man. Gonna scoop one up!
update?
That whole ride looked exhilarating looks like so much fun too. That skyline going across the bridge was fantastic.
That is one hell of a commute!
You really think so?
+Umuahjoku Amadi-Obi (AceofSpades) I really do.
this is the type of commute that would make me excited to go to work....well at least getting there
I'm saving $100 a paycheck for one...I have two older types of electric skateboards; a all terrain e-glide and a street emad...both are a lotta fun. Also if you live in NYC dont buy dual + its just to fast and will never go 22mph because road is not even.
+Haris Ahmemulic which one would you recommend buying then?
Finnamid Sorry for late replay, i still would get Dual + its little bit on heavy side but its fast and can get 6 miles easy.
+Haris Ahmemulic Thanks!
Those are like 1500 dollars
Thanks for posting your video. I have to get one of these in the spring.
update?
That looked way longer than five miles
this is like the chillest UA-cam comment section ever. I'm proud of yahll.

When you go downhill by braking (going reverse) you are rechaging your battery.
Range is about 7 miles.
Thanks for recording this. I embedded it in an article I wrote on it on my website. :)
Great to see what the boosted board is capable of, and the difficulties it faces along the way, my concern is that this is quite a long commute... weren't they made as a sort of "last mile" transportation, for getting to and from the subway or bus or other mode meant for longer distances... love that bikeline between trees its everywhere in usa?
You should push off a couple pumps at each stop. You'll save battery and get going a lot faster. Cool vid man.
Nice vid. I've ridden mine over that bridge before (Queensborough) and the traction grooves in the pavement suck. Felt like the board was going to rattle apart. I went to 97mm wheels. Better but not enough to smooth those grooves. Wish Boosted - or someone would sell a softer wheel package.
I love the sound of boosted boards
This was a super great video!
What a lovely morning ride.. too bad so many people are in the way and so see whats going on around them bcs of mobile phones!! One up on this vid! :D
Can't you not go one the sidewalk on this? Someone please explain
hey love the video feed. wish you would post few more videos. thanks
This was a great video. Totally safe riding and respecting traffic and pedestrians.
Weird that i cant find any info on battery life.
RiTutorials average of 8 miles on the $1k version and the other two are seven miles
how much battery did you have left? can you make it back without charging?
no, he probably cannot make it back without a recharge
I'm sure there are loads of sockets at his job, unless he works on a farm or something...
a farm in nyc lol
hydroponic indoor farm or something
Nice! I also commute on my board, but from LIC to Midtown. 59th St. Bridge and going down through the city is a bit hectic so I take the long way over Williamsburg. Smooth sailing almost the whole way. How's the range on the Boosted?
I know 5 years passed since you aired this. Do you still have your original Boosted board. Or did you upgrade to the V2 or Stealth,
How did the bridge feel? Bumpy af? Im living out in Astoria and am thinking of getting a Mini
THE BOOSTED LIFE " N.Y.C. "
Do you use it in the fall / winter? I'm in Boston and I'm thinking about picking one up. Thanks.
with a motor and moving gears and parts, you will ruin it if the weather is not completely dry.
Wow OdiusTV your complete dumbass, how can it ruin the board ? There's tons of electric skateboards out there and this one is the best, why is that ? OH WELL BECAUSE ITS DURABLE,COMFORTABLE,AND HAS A BOOST TO IT
Swoosh Gaming check the faq on the website, not waterproof
awesome ride, i like to do tricks, but sometimes its nice to just cruise
Hey, lets meet and ride in Manhattan...
That´s a very long bridge! Amazing, how the battery last so long!
Awesome alternative for anyone who lives in the city.
So you averaged 10 miles per hour? How well does the board handle pot holes.
How long would it normally take you to make this journey using public transport?
I noticed that you didn't have a charger on hand. Did you manage to make the trip back home? How many miles is it?
He's wearing a backpack. Maybe it's in there.
why do you get off from time to time does it hurt your legs?
would it be a stupid idea to buy one if i have never in my life stepped on any skateboard ?
+kiesha86 Nah, they are great, super intuitive, you'll be pro level in no time.
They cost a buck though
+kiesha86 growing up never have sex before, but do it anyway. just like that
google stretview 9:00
But serious talk: How long did it take you to get confident riding it in traffic?
since no one replied I'll give you it from my perspective. have you ever done skateboarding or longboarding before?
Is that the standard range battery?
What was your average speed especially when you were on the QB Bridge?
Do you get bugged by cops to get off the road?
What power level do you use?
Holy F. Half of that bridge is my morning commute lol.
How is it holding up? Just ordered mine 5 days ago and cant wait
Rear foot on the skate first ?... Have you ever skater prior to stepping on an electric board ?
Did it have much more use after the 5mi trip?
What bridge was that? How long was that commute vs subway/taxi?
Jeff Couret brooklyn bridge i think
Jeff Couret It was queensborough bridge
+kristik343 brooklyn bridge lmao
queensborough duh. I has one foor on rosevelt island and goes parallel to the sky ferry
I'm pretty sure I've seen you board around astoria
I feel like if I had a boosted board, I'd be hella worried about my battery and pushing this thing all the time
Why? Just check on the remote..
+Frotzy oh! I didn't know there was an indicator.
Dalton McCabe Oh okay and you can also see exactly percentage on your phone (iphone app only tough, however v2 will have android support too)
Dude once your battery is dead that's it. Forget pushing, it's a belt drive not hub motors.... Way too much resistance
What was your average speed on this? Was thinking of getting one if it can do a good 25mph on flat land.
it goes 22 mph for their top model based on 185lbs so if u weight less you might hit 25 depending on how much less
I'm getting the bajaboard. It's alterrain, has longer range, four wheel drive, pneumatic tires, suspension, can tow 100 lbs up hill, and has tip speed of 31mph based on 220.5 lbs rider weight.
Can you please post a vid riding this thig up a hill full speed? xoxo
do u remember how much battery was left after that 5 mile?
Still trying to figure out the best set up for vlogs on my stealth with Abec11 107
Pretty nice. I Like the idea of an electric Skateboard even if I can't ride one. But the boosted is a bit to expensive for me.
the end was the best "how was your ride?"
Can I mount a seat on?
Cool video! Boosteds are THE BEST!
I want to get one of these but the only board I've ever really ridden on is a penny board and I'm not even that great at that. I can't figure out how to pump for shit. I was thinking with the motor involved, it'd be easier for me to cruise. thoughts?
Correct.
Very interesting to see a bit of NYC from a not-tourism perspective. Although, this route 5 days a week, twice a day... How many years do you expect to stay alive? Lol ;)
I do the same thing, from Williamsburg to midtown east. For a long time bub:D
How saw a google car? :)
if the boosted board runs out if battery can you still push with your feet?
Yes, but the motors do resist a lot, so not fun
Love this video - thanks for sharing!
Nice!! Me want some boosted board too
Brooklyn?
which boosted board is this one?
dual+
・Boosted Boards
・INBOARD
・STARY
・E go cruiser
Which one is the best?
+Jugger Superman zboard 2
+Jugger Superman Best built? and Best Overall? Boosted by a long shot. Build quality is great, breaking and accelerating are the smoothest ever. how long can the battery last?
8 miles for the $1k version but 7 miles for the more expensive versions
well done, long ride
do you have to charge it?
+PardonMeIFarted It charges zero to full in about an hour. Goes 7 miles on a charge.
No it has a nuclear reactor in it
how steep are the bridge?? 10%??
7% grade at the steepest point
at least on this bridge
+Edwin P were you riding in promode?
+LEe Jae I wasnt riding in this video. I wouldn't be able to tell you.
+LEe Jae I just wanted to make sure someone responded to your question.
Awesome. This vid totally convinced me. Thanks!
Samuel Did you order one?
I wish i could afford one of these i live with 7 other kids this would give us some fun things to do
What an amazing commute that would be everyday. #luckydog
you gotta be hella careful around those city streets. One hit by a taxi and your done
From a avid long boarder and downhill sliders POV you need not be so scared whilst riding ( going around people, slowing for bumps, etc.). also I don't know if all the pads you are wearing are necessary boosted boards go on max 22 not a whole lot. i was thinking you were gonna put music in your vid the you were choosing a song.
lol at 11:11. You could have given the guys a little push haha
It's videos like this that make longboarding look boring when it's actually really fun
Unless he's bombing it hills it's going to look boarding, he was actually going pretty fast
Awesome vid! :)
Sean is the real hero of this video. #SeanUntilDawn
Ah, 2014 a much simpler time.
I want to watch this on an oculus rift
Cool.. I'm getting 2 of them I order them yesterday can't wait for mines
fuckin hell. I would get shit scared riding in the middle of traffic like that. Is that normal? Dont drivers get pissed off?
i realy want a boosted Board but it costs 2 Month of Work :D i work 25 Hours a Week that means around 800 € and it cost 1500 $ that is a Crazy Price 500-600 would be complete fine !!
Cheapest is 880 euros
what if it rains lol
i want one so bad, but they are soo damn expensive

Hey Sean
Thanks for this video... I'm ordering 1
MrJuice105 Did you order one?
Did anyone else see the google camera car on the bridge
