Billhook i use all the time. Id just chop through the log with that to be fair usually enough power in them. I Do like the double edge. Made a sheath recently for one with some cardboard, jute twine and a stick of hazel with some duct tape. Cant even be arsed bringin a saw a lot of the time to cut and use them to cut up sticks. The one i mainly use i hate to say is French it has a belly to it towards the handle really good for crafingt but brings some real venom for heavy cutting. Was cutting up old fence posts at a mates barbecue the other day.
