FM Sitharaman highlights Bengal govt's MGNREGA scams in Kolkata: 'Taxpayers repeatedly cheated'

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman hit out at the West Bengal government saying that she wouldn’t pay the taxpayers’ money when there are fake MGNREGA beneficiaries in the state. "25 lakh fake MGNREGA job cards, due to which crores of government money were siphoned off, were issued in West Bengal. And that's why MGNREGA funds to West Bengal had to be halted due to corruption because it is not my money, its of the taxpayers", FM Nirmala Sitharaman said.

Bengal need a reset of political power that has to do a lot of things to develop it's rural areas properly; the Government of West Bengal has tripped it's per capita debt ratio (you can check ) compared to past 10 years by giving freebies and has no knowledge of economics that jobs have to be created in order to pay the debt it had taken , and there is no poper supply chain in West Bengal; People just throwing resources everywhere,and the politicians just don't mind it's core problems,on the other hand the farmers, instead of getting better seeds and fertilizers and tools to increase the productivity of the land, getting free ration,although this is not needed

Another thing I would like to point out people's ignorance towards the issue , they literally won't question their ruling parties authorities. And many economies have said that if you have to distribute basic amenities like cereals and money among people then the economy of the state is weak and they need Job more then these basic amenities. It's a shame nobody addresses this issue .

Her each word is true . I m a from Bengal, my neighbour is a rich guy bt he used pm awas to build his home😢 , i know many instances like this.
In Har Ghar nal yojna, i applied in 2020 , paid them 2000 rupees, bt didn't get the connection till the date.

They said they will provide tap water, then they dug up roads they laid pipes and provided water for two days. There were earthworms in the pipe. They stopped water after a day or two. Still now there is no tap water scene.
