@@lisamoulton2540 you don't think about things like that until they happen! I was VERY thankful to have broken my non-dominant wrist. But a short leg cast after surgery was worse. Showering was the most annoying task for me.
@elainelessack Horses bring more joy to my life than anything. Worth the risk. I know plenty of people who have had serious injuries. They still ride. I have had acquaintances who have died. It's horrible, but so rare. Again, worth the risk. I'd rather die doing what I love.
If you're wondering what you could binge watch next, try Air Ambulance- it's great!! It's about air ambulances responding to some pretty horrific traumas throughout England 😁
“Sore” must have a different inference in Australia than it does in the US. Here it’s used to describe a dull pain, like a bumped knee or your neck after a rough sleep. Not massive traumatic injuries 😂
I love dr thornhill she’s so kind and caring and a dam good doctor I have bad lungs and I wish she was my doctor I’d feel so much safer with her all tho my surgeon is amazing but I really like her so much I’d love to meat her one day ❤
The mechanism of injury to the wrists of bike riders isn't flying over the handlebars and putting their hand out to break their fall. They don't have time to do that. It's gripping the handlebars which then come to a complete stop while the body travels forward. Something has to give and it's the wrists. There are many videos out there showing bikers colliding with vehicles. None ever let go of the handlebars. The same goes for car accidents. Stunt drivers are trained to let go of the steering wheel before the collision.
They give patients ketamine before reducing bone fractures and dislocations for a reason. They don’t remember the pain, nor are they truly cognisant of the pain whilst under ketamine’s effects.
What? How can that be? This show is exactly how it is, the blood tests XRs CTs ECGs and consults with other specialists are just done as needed, no questions and no charges.
THATS EXACTLY HOW MY SEIZURES STARTED! Sorry for screaming. Lol!! Made me so angry because it took away my life. I lost the ability to drive, which then meant my job, then had to move back with my dad. Months and months of tests. Usually after you have 1 seizure they take away your license. It’s incredible they didn’t even bother to take hers away. 10 minutes!!! ???
how did she get a 10 min seizure and she just walks away like nothing happened except some precautions?? dont they do further testings or meds??? like dont they know anything about seizures or whats the deal?
i'm sure she was sent to make appointments with her family doctor. this is the emergency room.. get them in, and get them out. follow up is for the patient she was well enough to send home.
They probably would have given her a 2 week ban from driving and sent her to a neurologist. Probably did a sleep-deprived study too. That's what I have at the moment.
@karendoxtader1142 no, they said it was either encephalitis or a rare, severe migraine. I was paralysed and couldn't speak for around 12 hours so they first thought stroke but couldn't find anything.
If someone is poring blood out has multiple broken bones and in pain give them pain relief asap there all ready scared and suffering why some doctors make it worse for people I don’t know my mums a nurse has been for 38 years and she addresses it straight away so then she can care for the patients without them crying in pain and screaming and suffering ❤

I’ve been binging these shows. What I really like is the information on how the people do after the trauma. We aren’t left wondering what happened.
I cannot get enough of these programs. This is my favorite series.
Same. Newest obsession ❤
Mega interessant auch wenn ich ohne Untertitel nur die Hälfte verstehe....mein Englisch und mein Wissen als nurse reicht aus.

That was pure gold! 🤣

I broke my dominant hand, and toileting was the worst thing, nobody wanted to hear about it! 😮

After watching a few of these episodes I have learned to stay off of motorcycles and horses.
Worth the risk 😅 Most falls off horses are harmless.
Shame. Some of the most fun I ever had has been with horses and motorbikes (not simultaneously.)

I've started watching Trauma investigators. It's also a British show.
Quality entertainment, guys! Thanks!
I love watching and learning from these amazing medical trauma staff
Some years ago, I fell at home and I broke the Tibula and fibula in my left leg. That pain was unbearable.
You're the only person I've ever known who had a tibula😂
Good gawd, this poor kid and his hands! 🤢🤢🤢

Aussies are just piss weak.

When they put me under for my tubal ligation I went off to Hawaii in my dreams. Much better place than the surgery table.
this is a very crucial series for newly elected residence and nurse to INDICATE HOW TO manage critical incidents and accidents at the ER .

Really sad to hear George was paralysed from the neck down :( Gosh, that is terrible
I grew up in oz (im now in US). my friend's mum died because of epilepsy. I was about 9 and her mum had a fit and suffocated in her pillow, very sad
I'm from Australia too I have severe eplespy and my brother also passed away from a seizure while asleep in 2005
The poor man that broke both his wrists .How will he be able to do anything for himself.
I broke both of mine. It’s hell, but I have a good husband!!
I broke both my wrists. No shit it’s painful!!!! I can’t believe they pulled them at the same!!
Well after the first one, can you imagine knowing another one is coming? I’d prefer both at once.

I wish our hospital were like this. Before you get an X-ray. You have to have sign papers and see if your insurance will pay for it .

@sophie-fr3xu I got told in the waiting room to go home cause I didn't have insurance and just take some Tylenol.
