    Lee is the Best Priming Tool! My RCBS Uni-Flow came with Both Cylinders I bought back in 1980! RCBS and Lee have allways Been A Number 1 as far as Support! You should have Called RCBS First and asked them if you needed a smaller Cylinder! Happy Reloading!!!

    It looks to me you have a fine rig. I know this stuff is expensive getting started and at times challenging. I'm just getting into it Myself and cannot find large rifle primers. It's always something.

    It all is about cost to people. The more they add to the master load kit the more it costs. There are other companies that make cheaper presses and some people would buy that one. Mine came with the bigger size measure. That’s great because I load rifle rounds. Now fast forward 15 years, and I’m getting into pistol loads and a bought the smaller size measure. It just came today and I really like the ability to load 4gr of Titegroup powder for 9mm. I also bought the 9mm shell holder and trimmer holder. You should look into the powder baffle that goes inside the green load tube.

    You should have gone with LEE, in my opinion. I started Handloading in 1978, with a RCBS Rockchucker. But in 2009, I upgraded to a LEE Classic Turret press - the difference is night and day. I use the single-stage for Rifle cartridges and the LEE for pistol. As for the Powder Measure, I'm looking at the RCBS Little Dandy which looks ideal for Pistol .

    I'm loading 25.5 grains of H110 for my pistol and don't have an issue with my RCBS Uniflow measure. I use a trickler to get it to exact weight.

    I got the same kit. My measure came with a stand. Maybe we got slightly different models of the supreme kit? I got it around Feb/March. When loading 9mm, I noticed that filling the drum to at least 75% full of my powder gave me more consistent power charge measurements. I think people also put like a quarter, or something heavy to put some wight on the powder in the hopper to get the same affect. This was with the included drum/cylinder. I will just fill it up, because I don't want to pay $40 for a smaller drum/cylinder for 4.2gn charges. I have found the the hand primer is "meh". Primers turn upside down in the disk feeder, and sometimes the primer edges get caught on the sides of the primer guide as they go up. I now just load in primers one at a time. That disk feeder thing seems like if I move the whole thing around, it might slip out of the guide and I wouldn't want primers to spill all over my floor.

      You should have gotten a LEE priming tool. Damn near everyone copies LEE. And LEE doesn't charge an arm and a Leg for their tools.

    Hornady does the same . It I'd not just RCBS. You can load pistol with the larger stem.

    Like Innsbruck Guard I’d go with lee every time, the price is right and everything works right “it does what it says on the tin”

    That is why I dont buy kits, they include things you dont really need or need for start like the primer tool since you can install the primers with the press, oil, universal loading block, etc. Making the kit looks full of stuff and are cheap accessories you can add later on even from other brands you prefer. The best of RCBS are the presses which are rock on but I have bad customer service experience, I bought a press straight from them and I received it with missing the primer pushing plugs, I contacted them and they never answered, I ended up buying them, I understand your frustration.

    A few things. You have to disassemble the powder cylinder completely anyhow to swap the cylinder sizes, so why not just swap the nut/washer and handle? There’s no need for extra parts. Second, I use Lee shell holders with my RCBS hand primer (Hornady does not work). Perhaps you are using the wrong primer guide (black vs white). Last, the powder measure mount can be mounted directly to your rock chucker.

    Randy FYI....RCBS also makes a "Universal Primer hand tool" that does not require shell holder. Although you would have to re-purchase a second hand primer now, so not your "everything you need" kit that they advertise.

    Randy--do you have a spare t ire for your car???? I have several she'll holders for each she'll I load. I have three presses. Two beam scales. And no I am not rich. Just buy things on eBay at good prices . I have everything to load 40 cal including molds and bullets and dies. But I do not have a 40. Reloading is like any other hobby- once you get into it you buy more to old. I have over 30 reloading manuals. This is my only hobby I hope you have success take care and be careful.

      @randysdiy2102  3 роки тому

      Yep, I have spare tire that came with the cars. And they are the same size. 😆 Lol. I got into this hobby at the wrong time. Supply's are hard to come by, and one reason was because ammo was getting hard to find. Oh well it's fun when nothing else is broken and needing fixed. Thanks for the comment, god bless!

      @@randysdiy2102 been reloading since 1978. Pistol mostly. I do 500 round batches and do everything one step at a time. I cast my own bullets. I enjoy reloading almost as much as shooting. Good luck and get as many reloading manuals as you can including the ABC's of reloading numbers 1 thru 5 by dean grennel. He is a easy read and very knowledgeable. Peace and love to you and yours.

    I have no problem with 9mm but if you are reloading .380 or 25 acp I could see using the smaller powder drum! I can get down pretty low powder charge with the large drum. Lee shell holder should work no problem!! You can’t always believe what you hear on you tube !! Just my two cents

      I tried to lee shell holder in the RCBS hand priming tool It did not work. you could force it in but then the handle would stick. The bottom of the Lee shell holder is thicker than the RCBS.

      Randy's DIY ok after looking at my lee die set are you sure your not trying to put a small primer shell holder on the large primer insert? The white one is for small primers and the black one is for large primers.

So you are correct I was absolutely learning, and am still learning after loading almost 5000 rounds of 380, 45acp, 9mm, 243, and 300wsm. It's been a learning experience and I haven't had a squib yet. God bless you and again thanks for watching till I said I wasn't sure what I was doing 😂
