The way I picture the halfblood is slightly birdlike. Easily confused for a harpy-halfblood. But, in reality, they're descended from sirens which would be why Killian felt so comfortable partially pouring his heart out to them; their natural endearingness. (And then I recalled whose channel I was on. The birdlike sirens!) They've just got the occasional, pretty plumage scattered about their body, their hair has a feathery texture and their nails grow in much thicker and sturdier; much more akin to talons. But, like Killian said, they look incredibly human if you don't look hard enough... to be honest, until the "almost [mistook] you for a human" part, I was even picturing them with wings.
