i have to say that it is a VERY good sign that the hottest take during this discussion came from tom where he said that this episode was not the best in the entire franchise. the fact that so many people have praised this episode that the very lukewarm take that "this episode was very good, but not my favourite" is a hot take.
Now that HOTD is a proven concept I want them to retroactively pad out season 1 to make it into like 3 seasons or something. Bring back Milly Alcock, Emily Carey and Paddy Considine (get them all an Emmy!!) They could use the existing episodes wherever they fit, but then they've got free range to add whatever stories they can come up with in between them. Oh, and while they're doing that, they should cast Mushroom as a main character, getting up to all sorts of mischief
