- A Spring outing with my daughter to see the amazing wild California poppies in full bloom just outside of the Antelope Valley California Poppy Resereve along I Street in Lancaster, CA. These are totally wild flowers that bloom each Spring. Video taken on April 17, 2010.
Thank you for this beautiful video. I had no idea poppies grew like this anywhere. Breathtaking! Good camera work, too!
Gorgeous! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for watching!
Gosh .. it sure is pretty. I grew up in Lancaster, but it's still nice to see the flowers all the way from Holland now. So pretty ... thanks again.
Cool! 👍
My all time favorite flower. Thank you for making and posting this gorgeous video.
Hi rmwtsou, Tom from Belfast Northern Ireland calling in.
Great californis poppy footage.
The california poppy has only arrived with us in the last 10 years. Now I have it as a wild flower in my garden. We too have the orange and yellow leaved flowers. Best wishes
Beautiful flowers, give beautiful mood.
Very nice poppy 🏵️🏵️👍🌼🌼👌👍❤️
It could be even better this year.
Welcome to California. Thanks for posting
Our State flower!
Very nice, thank you for posting.
Amazing video
God's plenty, God's glory.
It was quite nice this year because we had a heavy April rain =)
So beautiful.
My daughter and I were just talking about this trip we made 7 years ago to the poppy reserve. It was rare indeed to have the blooms so beautiful and full.
rmwtsou Yes indeed, so beautiful and so perfect.
We felt like we were in the poppy fields of Wizard of Oz.
Have you been to the La Brea Tar Pits? Downtown L.A. Hardly anybody knows about that either! Amazing point of interest.
Excellent! I have footage from the same year...
Thanks for sharing!
This year should be at least as good because of all the rain we are having.
@@rmwtsou I concur... Standing by, camera in hand... 😂
At what time of day were you out there? Looks beautiful. Hopeful for a superbloom 2021!!!!
Right around early afternoon, perhaps 1:30PM. Thanks for watching.
Nice camera from 2010 usually the videos suck from back then.
Thanks. I think it was a Flip Cam, now long defunct. Now I use my Samsung Note 9 with great results.
Why do people pick them?
cause they are stupid
Please stop walking in mist of the flowers shame on you both. Respect. Nature
Yup. It's illegal to walk on the flowers alright. I heard that they write tickets but don't know if they're actually serious because people continue to break the law by stepping on these beauties. Antelope Valley is breath-taking. It's so sad we have this drought that's natural occurring so we can't stop it. But, I just hope California finds a way to save the environment.
сказочная красота ПОЛЯ ЦВЕТОВ райское место и очень красивая девушка
спасибо
rmwtsou
Дай Бог здоровья за то что несете в интернет такую красоту
stay on trails!
can you tell me how to get there I Iive in san fernando valley please!!
google map ?
Take the metrolink/Hwy 14 or I-5 just north of Santa Clarita, up to Lancaster!
I'm sure this person meant no harm but when we walk among the flower fields off paths, we compact the soil and hinder growth.
I went there yesterday. This year terrible . You will see nothing but dry land.
This year should be magnificent!
I think it's illegal to PARTAKE of them ... :)
yes, "Inside" the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve and on private property.
To anyone that plans on visiting the beautiful california poppy, please do not go off the trails and step on them since it takes forever to grow back and the fragile plants are easy to destroy with out feet/shoes. Please, they actually won’t survive that long if you guys keep stepping/sitting on them.
Random Person Chilax the super bloom is over now buddy
CarlosMz that doesn’t mean people are going to stop being stupid
Only good part about Lancaster is the poppies
Any day in northern LA County is better than some crowded urban area...
Go figure!

Hey guys it's illegal to be walking in mist of the Nature .
it's illegal to grow these yet they're our state flower,
Illegal to grow? I know people can plant them in their yards AFTER purchasing packets of seeds...
you need botany classes
theSuperbOwl bruh I’m literally growing them in my backyard
This irritates me so much. Stay on the path's. You will crush the flowers, and it is a STATE flower.
The fields are on the way to my cousins ranch. I always laugh at all the people who are pulled of to the side of the road taking pictures and wasting time with plants. Like you all have never seen them before? If you live in this area you see them all the time.
This is the saddest post I have ever seen. Your loneliness.. your lack of love for life... I hope you find joy in your life again..
Natalie Boudreau Agreed.
Obviously we haven't thats why we do that 😑
I know exactly what you mean... I'll admit I do stop when I see the local honey vendors.. 😂
You can't. Walk in natural garden respect nature shame on you
