Just a note of caution, make sure you rinse off Micellar water before applying a vitamin C serum. It won't do you any harm but Micellar water is around pH 7.4 and may inhibit the effectiveness of your serum. Vitamin C works best at a pH of 5 (normal skin pH) or less.

Micellar water was a savior for me on my recent camping trip (no running water, many layers of sunscreen). I use the olive oil and aloe one from Mustela, which is great for my sensitive skin. When I was camping, I put it in a spray bottle and misted it all over my face and neck, massaged it in a little bit, and then wiped it off with a damp cloth. Could not be more convenient!

Another fantastic video! I haven’t used micellular water in years but when I did use it I used it to take off my makeup. I had to use a lot and it still didn’t clean everything, so I know I left some makeup and gunk on my face. That’s before I learned everything I needed to know about cleansing my skin from you Rob. In fact Garner was the one I used back in the day.

  • @lorainemcgillivray77

Hi Rob I mainly use misceller water to gently remove eye makeup. I find many oils/balms can sting or leave a film on the eyes, plus i don't like smearing the mascara etc all around my face. i've tried quite a few others, but the Bioderma sensibio is my favourite and it works the best on mascara (better than the garnier orignal). As i mostly use it on the eyes a bottle lasts ages, making it more affordable. I will sometimes use it to freshen the skin in the morning instead of a cleanser - especially in the Summer. I always rinse it off my ultrasensitive skin though, as leaving any surfactants on the skin sounds like a recipe for disaster on my rosacea. I use the magnitone microfibre rounds for the eyes - super soft, reusable and the microfibre boosts the cleansing power of any misceller water. I haven't tried the hack though and will for a bit of skin entertainment lol. Best wishes.

I love the idea of micellar water, and have used it occasionally. My first introduction to this type of product was Shiseido’s Cleansing Water 20 years ago, and loved it. My issue is not wanting to do anything to irritate my skin when using all my actives, and rubbing a cotton pad on my skin is enough to push it over the edge, especially around my eyes. I do keep some Garnier and Cerave around for my travel bag.

Wow cool hack! And I don’t know why I never thought to use right after a workout. This was my first newer product I tried to get into skin care more.I thought it would be good for travel. I bought the Garnier too. When I bought it I thought it would be my only cleanser. You definitely need more for sunscreen and things to deeply cleanse. It does last forever and helps for eye makeup. Good to have on hand but don’t think it’s going to be your one and only cleaner! They kind of make it seem that way in ads.

I have used the Garnier micellar water for so many years. I always have a bottle close by to do a first cleanse for makeup/sunscreen, or if I'm having a bad flare, it is all I use and can do my skincare in bed. So, I am proof it doesn't need to be washed off, even if derms say so.
I am also super sensitive to oil cleansers for some reason, and I tend to break out from them. Which is strange because I rarely break out... so micellar water is a very important step when wearing makeup. AND, Dr. Idriss said in a video that she uses it to remove her makeup!
How are you Rob? I know you are working very hard these days getting ready to send out MAS products, CAN'T WAIT!! Much love, Patti xxx

The best micellar I've tried are the one from Clarins (I'm not using any make up). It's the only one that really removed air pollution. I didn't need moisturizer as well, and it's anti inflammatoric. Also smells AMAZING.
However, I've stopped using them (tonics as well) since they blocks absorption of retinoid products, unless you don't rinse it off...
