To me this should have been nominated for a Grammy last year. Angelina took Elvis' song and showed how it should have been sung in the first place. Then, you add in Angelina's gorgeous voice, the amazing camera work, the costuming, the set, and all the Elvis references and symbolisms, and you have one of her best performances ever.
… ELVIS and ANGELINA... my absolute favourites!! … What a great tribute to the King! Elvis would be honored and speechless 😮!! … I can't even describe how incredibly good these two are!!… Phenomenal!! ✨💎✨ 🕺🏻🎸🕯Thank you
Angelina could be Elvis's child ! Her total look is so vintage Elvis with the leather outfit , classic guitar and Priscilla's hairdo ! Her voice is on another level ! What a magnificent original cover Angelina has composed ! She slowed it right down where you can really appreciate and understand the true meaning of the song ! This is a vocal gem and visual masterpiece ! Only 15 or 16 and sounding like a seasoned professional ! Angelina Jordan is the real deal ! Thank you for posting this fabulous video ! One of Angelina's great works ! Keep posting my friend because you are so appreciated ! Much love from Canada always ! 👍🇨🇦❤️
Angelina's cover of **All I want for Christmas is you** 11 yr old Version , is the best version of that song I've ever heard, including Mariah carey's cover of it
She almost knocked you out of your chair with the opening line. Angelina gets your attention from the get go & then you are locked in till the end when you realize it's over & you come out of your trance. She puts a spell on you!
Everything having to do with this performance and production was an homage to Elvis and his wife Priscilla. It also pays tribute to Elvis’ 1968 Come Back Special. In the beginning credits you saw that Mary Zamani is the executive producer. Mery is Angelina’s grandma, whom is also Angelina’s greatest creative influence and muse. It was through Mery’s love of listening to the classic jazz singers that Angelina fell in love with the jazz genre. Angelina said that if it was for her love of listening to Billy Holiday there would be no Angelina Jordan. Angelina is the reigning queen of the jazz genre. She is single handedly introducing jazz to the younger generation, especially those who have never listened to jazz in their lives.
Hey Lar! Another great reaction to our favorite Norwegian Queen! She just dropped some Christmas music! She brings out the best of any cover and original she sings. Literally transports me to a happy place and cannot get enough of her!!
Angelina did one of the finest covers of Mary's Boy Child on a live radio broadcast on NRK in Norway when she was 10.....simply beautiful! You can find the audio on YT.
Thank you for returning to Angelina. Your reactions to her performances are always worth watching. The song was written by Mark James, an American singer/songwriter, who recorded it the year it was written. The best known version, however, was that done by Elvis Presley. It was his last No 1 song. In the Wikipedia entry of the origins of the song, Mark James is said to have remarked "That late one night, he was fooling around on his Fender guitar and using his Hammond organ pedals for a bass line and came up with what he thought was a catchy melody. At the time, he was married to his first wife but still had feelings for his childhood sweetheart, who was married back in Houston. James's wife had suspicions about his feelings. He felt it was a confusing time for him and that all three were "caught in this trap that they could not walk out of." Other singers covering this song invariably base their performance on that of Elvis, in that it is very "upbeat". Angelina took a very different path in that she read and understood the lyrics and what Mark James intended when writing them . To my mind, her rendition is much truer to the emotions of the song. The children appearing in the video were Angelina's cousins Aurora (first) and then Athena - daughters of her uncle Michael Astar, and then her sister Juliette. I would hazard a guess that they were included to emphasise that children are very important to Angelina and her family. Confession! I have never been a great fan of Elvis Presley, although I do like some of his earlier recordings, and I had never heard of the song "Suspicious minds" but knew that Angelina would completely take ownership of it, and she did. It was beautiful. After listening to it several times, I decided to download the lyrics to see whether she kept to the original structure. She didn't, and the song is all the better for it. For me, that she started with the Bridge of the song is very significant and, I feel, very indicative of Angelina's "up front" transparency. She was declaring that it was important that their love did not die, and then carries on to say why she feels as she does. Others first say how they feel and then, almost as an afterthought, assure their love they don't want it to end. For me, it is whether I feel the singer is genuine about the situation and wishes it could be resolved or whether the singer understands the situation but thinks the blame is on her/his partner but feels the need to assure them they don't want it to end (until somebody else comes along).
Beautiful reaction, thanks Lar. From the very first words, the warmth, tone, passion and sweetness that Angelina manages to instill in this mythical song are truly incredible, you just wish the song was much longer. Her phrasing, backed by her wonderful use of breath and her peculiar jazz tone, always fascinates me and gives me chills every time, I love this absolutely amazing, so personal rewrite of this iconic song, with so many Elvis tribute details. Now it's a different song, but it's also the same, it still has that harmony, but somehow (in a way only Angelina can process) it's even more emotional, it's slower, but it's so close to your soul flow that kidnaps you. 💛🧡❤
Oh Lar! You haven't even scratched the surface of the AJ experience. You could look at her performances at age 7 and 8 on Norway's got talent. You could explore her jazz concerts at ages 10 and 11 ("Feeling Good", "Lovin' You", "Diamonds are Forever" . . .}. You could watch any of her many beautiful at home videos accompanied only by guitar ("Stay", "Crazy", "How Great Thou Art" . . . }. Then there are her early originals ("What is Life", "Oslo", "Shield", "Seventh Heaven", "Million Miles"} and her covers done at 14 and 15 ("Billie Jean", "Easy on Me", "My Funny Valentine", "All I Ask" . . .). Not to mention her last couple of years with her Norwegian Concerts, appearance at the FIFA awards, and the release of her new EP, "Old Enough". Let's see; I left out her 2021 Christmas Concert, performances in Seoul and Japan, leaked recording of "Still Holding Out for You" and . . . . . There are reactors out there who have AJ playlists with well over 100 Angelina Jordan videos! You have run into a buzz saw Lar! So very much to choose from! Enjoy the ride!!!
A suggestion for you “This is a man’s world” which she performed live at 12. Also why not take a look at her four performances on Norway’s got Talent at age 7/8. Here you will see her roots are in jazz and it is amazing to see how much she progressed through the contest in a few short months (although obviously she was amazing from the first). I think you will enjoy watching her perfect these songs with gaps in her teeth where her baby teeth have come out! By the way, she arranges all her songs even back then she knew exactly what she wanted to do and how to do it!
If you want METAL, you're barking up the wrong tree here! Just accept her for what she is: UNIQUE. She took this classic song from a great performer and reimagined it HER way..she doesn't do cookie cutter music. Her emotion & change of pace turned this into a poignant plea to save a love...this showcases emotion & she unapologetically made it HER own...this is the fresh, recreated CLASSIC that belongs to Angelina. PEACE!
Absolutely phenomenal arrangement from our barefoot Viking, the first two little girls in the video are Angelina’s cousins her uncle Mikes children, uncle Mike is also her manager , the eldest girl is Angelina’s sister Juliette, production input from Angelina’s grandmother Mery Zamani who is a talented Iranian 🇮🇷 artist and poet, The pianist is two times Grammy Award winner Rob Christie the Musical Director of Republic Records who Angelina signed with at 14 years old, Angelina is paying tribute to Elvis with her black outfit and her red guitar 🎸 and Pricilla Presley hair style, Cover of a Cover as the original artist Mark James who wrote and recorded Suspicious Minds didn’t achieve with his original, then Elvis Covered the song and it was a hit, great reaction thanks 🙏
Great reaction again! Thanks for doing 2 of her performances back to back 🙂 She was the exact same age here as in I Have Nothing. 16,5 years old. She has performed songs spanning at least 8 genres, metal unfortunately not being one of them. But if you'd ask me if I think she COULD, you probably know what my answer would be. I don't think there's anything in music that she couldn't do. So far I don't have any reason for believing so 😉 However, she HAS done an EDM song when she was 14. A Norwegian producer duo called TRXD reached out to her and asked if she'd be interested. Almost like some kind of birthday gift, as it was JUST around her birthday. The song is called "Above The Water" and is incredible, also for showing us some of her versatility. As I'm not sure if links will stick on your channel, I don't take the chance on adding it, but you'll find it very easily. If I were you, I'd pick the fan made music video for it, with some dancing. It goes very well with the beat. Thanks again, Buddy! Much love from Norway ♥♥♥♥♥
She hasn't done anything heavy (yet), but I recommend her version of "It's a man's world". There is one live at the presentation of her album "It's magic" where you can appreciate her range of voice, although she is accompanied by a military orchestra, and another shortly after at a festival, of which there is only audio, with a fantastic solo by final guitar. By the way, she has done many Christmas covers since she was 6 years old, I recommend the last one she did in December 2021, a wonderful version of "You say", original by Lauren Daigle.
The baby and very little girl are Angelina's cousins - the preteen girl is Angelina's sister Juliette and the Piano Player is Rob Christie Director of the Republic Records Los Angeles Studio which is the record label that Angelina has been signed with since she was 14 years old.
Original song writer, Mark James performed this song in an attempt to get radio time, but he never succeeded. He gave Elvis permission to perform the song and of course it became the colossal hit that it is. Mark was not a fan of Elvis’ uptempo arrangement of his song. Pianist, Rob Christie wrote the musical arrangement of this rendition and Angelina created the vocal arrangement. This is how Mark James intended for this song to be portrayed.
Welcome to the Angelina Jordan rabbit hole. You were asking if she’s done any Christmas themed songs, and she has indeed got quite a catalogue that I’m sure some of the other angels can steer you towards. However, based on your declaration of love for heavy metal together with your interest in exploring any types of new music, I think you may also appreciate a new Christmas song that also happens to be a very energetic rock song, so kill two birds with one stone and go and listen to Courtney Hadwin’s very recently released Christmas Rocks.
Great reaction Lar. Angelina's instincts for re-imagining classic songs is off the charts. While most vocalists want to show off their high notes and do crazy vocal gymnastics, Angelina is all about telling the story of the song and evoking the emotion she feels. I am not a metal fand but do love rock n roll. I suggest you react to my new favorite rock band, The Warning. They are 3 sisters from Monterrey Mexico, currently ages 23 ,21 and 18 with their 4th album due at any time. Please react to "Disciple" from their 8/29/22 concert at Teatro Metropolitan.
Hi! Just found your Chanel because of Angelina. If younger looking for some great Christmas music. Discover Pentatonix. They got their fifth Grammy nomination for their xmass album from last year. They already have an clad album from every year. Wish you a great end and new year!
I highly recommend that you watch Angelina’s ten year old and sixteen year old covers of, “My Funny Valentine”. Removing your socks is recommended only because Angelina will blow them off anyways.
She has a few Christmas songs you say is her biggest Christmas song cover from Lauren daigle she has over 200 covers and originals start your journey you will not be disappointed wild bill angel since 2016
This performance didn't seem to do it for you that much. Not everyone likes how she might completely redo a song that they are familiar with. That may have happened to you.
She hasn't done any metal, but you should listen to her cover of Queens 'The Show Must Go on ' or 'Mt. Everest' by Labrinth'..I'll link them to you later..
Mark James wrote and performed Suspicious Minds first. Elvis stole his song.Elvis was good stealing songs from others. You can hear Mark James perform his song on youtube. He also wrote Always on my Mind.
Thanks for the reaction to our angel Angelina..she’s simply the best..👍👏👍👏
I'm enjoying your reactions of AJ. You've only scratched the surface. Thanks!
Thanks ❤❤❤
My two fav things on youtube are listening to Angelina and watching others (especially newbies) listen to Angelina;)

"Killer" , yes Angelina slays songs with her emotive quality ...the girl with 1000 voices
Look for her version of All I want for Christmas is You.
Great AJ reactions. Hope you do more. You cannot go wrong with any cover or original she does.

“Mary’s Boy” radio version. Or white Christmas. Two of her best.

Next from the Angelinas Christmas online concert 2021 "You Say" It's EPIC! 😊😊
"Suspicious Minds" is a 1968 song written and first recorded by the American songwriter Mark James. After this recording failed commercially, it was recorded by Elvis Presley with the producer Chips Moman. Presley's version reached No.1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and it was his last hit record to reach No.1.
(Elvis Presley, the King of Rock and Roll, had a long and successful career that spanned from the 1950s to the 1970s. He recorded hundreds of songs and sold millions of records worldwide. His last two hits of his career were "Way Down" and "Moody Blue", both released in 1977, the year of his death. "Way Down" was a rockabilly song that reached number 18 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number one on the country charts. "Moody Blue" was a ballad that peaked at number 31 on the Hot 100 and number two on the country charts. Both songs showcased Elvis' distinctive voice and style, and were well received by his fans and critics.)
Consider this; there are lots of performers that impersonate Elvis, and some can sound just like him. Have you ever experienced someone that sounds like Angelina Jordan, let me be the first to answer that question, the answer in no. That is because AJ is one of a kind, and on a level that supersedes all others. If you question what I have just stated just listen to the professional voice teachers after experiencing AJ. They all admit that they are speechless because they have never heard anyone like AJ.
The children are AJ two little cousins, they are the daughters of her uncle Mike, he is her manager, and the oldest girl is her younger sister, Juliette.
This is my 126th time experiencing this video, and each and every time it gets better. We must give credit to the support team behind this phenom. There is no one on earth that can match the talent of this STORYTELLER. AJ deconstructs a song then reconstruct it to make each individual hearing it feel it was written for them, a love letter to their comfort zone.
Melrose Gallery is the same antique store in Hollywood that she used for My Funny Valentine
AJ plays guitar, keyboard/piano, violin and flute. Don’t forget she writes music and was the youngest author in Norway to publish a book.
No loud band, no light show, no dancers, just two instruments to accompany the MAGIC that Angelina Jordan brings like no one else can.
At 7 she was killing us, at 16 she is taking us places we have never been.
What a glorious production, praise to everyone involved, so perfect for Angelina Jordan she rules the universe with her talent. Again, the great talent of Rob Christie playing the piano. The Cinemaphotography, a total MASTERPIECE, Excellent ART Cole McCarthy! Great touch, the cousins and sister get a cameo. Mery, you should be so proud, AJ's grandma produced this. (This red guitar is identical to the one Elvis played in his 1968 concert on TV.) Oh, the tears, and loss of breath, she is like no other in the universe. Here is a classic example of what this ethereal talent, Angelina Jordan, can achieve she takes a mundane song and turns it in to phenomenal classic. Angelina at 16 is the MASTER of her universe, she is top priority for both Stargate, and AJ's voice has been unique since she was 7 years old and now at 16, she controls us as an audience, leaving us hang on every word and phrase. She has written a number of songs. © Larry D. Pifer
The two greatest singers in my lifetime: Elvis and A
J -
and I've seen them both live on stage !!!
🎼👍🏼🤗💞
A definite must is her cover of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody at 13 on AGT. Freddie would be proud. Thanks for these Angelina reactions

Watch her perform "Its a man's world" at 12 and "I'm lovi'n you" at 11.
You probably noticed, this video is full of symbolism. Her vocal tone is even a nod to Elvis.

Angelina Jordan is The Sound Of Music.
Angelina Jordan is a remarkable vocal artist that possesses a rare talent: she has a photographic memory for sound. This means that she can recall and reproduce any sound she hears with perfect accuracy and pitch. She applies this skill to her musical performances, especially when she covers songs by other vocal artists. She does not merely imitate them, but rather uses their voices as inspiration and reference points for her own unique interpretations. She can capture the essence and emotion of any song, while adding her own flair and style to it.
There is a difference between a good singer and a great singer. A good singer can capture the moment, but a great singer can transform the moment into ART. ART is not just a representation of reality, but an expression of vision. ART should always transcend the ordinary, and Angelina Jordan accomplishes this in every performance. © Larry D. Pifer

I agree Andy on the warning! Best rock trio I've ever heard. I would also recommend as an introduction their TEDx performance in 2017.
Angelina's 11 year old version of All I Want For Christmas Is You is phenominal check it out.
Angelina was sixteen years old when this video was released last year.

NEWS!!!!!! NOTE!!!!!!
Angelina Jordan sang a fantastic version of "Unchained Melody" live at the Nobel Prize 2023... 😊😊😊😊😊😊must listen!👍
My interpretation of the symbolism of this music video: First, and foremost; Angelina Jordan at 16 is the epitome of a Storytelling ARTIST, and she has the ability to take us by the hand and lead us down an imaginary path that we visualize as reality. The remarkable fact is that we experience this in each of her performances. In this video we see her as a married woman in her mid to late 20s. As the video starts out, we see dishes, and it is a symbol of a home. As AJ sings the phrase “Were caught in a trap, I can’t walk out” we see 3 small children, this to me is a marriage where the children come first. If it were AJ by herself, she would not stay in a relation without trust. © Larry D. Pifer
🥰
The Hagstrom Red Guitar used in this video is a modern up to date copy of the one Elvis used in 1968, and belongs to Rob Christie, AJ’s A&R rep from Republic Records/Universal Music Group.
The Hagstrom Red Guitar belonged to musician Al Casey, a member of Elvis’ backing band during the special in 1968. According to an accompanying letter from Casey, he was asked to let Elvis use the guitar by the producers, as they "thought it would look beautiful on camera and with the set."
Elvis Presley’s 1942 Martin D-18 acoustic guitar may have recently sold for $1.32 million, but fear not - another of the King’s axes, this one his cherry-red Hagstrom Viking II electric guitar, famous for its use in the legendary '68 Comeback Special, is hitting the block.
The semi hollow instrument is a highlight of Kruse GWS Auctions’ Artifacts of Hollywood & Music auction, which begins on March 27. It's being offered with a starting bid of $250,000.
By Matt Owen published March 31, 2021 Now, it has been confirmed that the legendary semi-hollow has been sold for a whopping $625,000, with the proud new owner of the lot managing to outbid six other plucky bidders to get their hands on the prized piece of music memorabilia.
The ‘68 Comeback Special marked Elvis' return to live performance after seven years spent focused on acting in Hollywood films. The televised concert, which launched Presley's return to live touring, featured him playing the Hagstrom for the opening segment as well as during one of the live "stand-up" segments. Suspicious Minds was the last hit Evils had in his career. © Larry D. Pifer

What metal song would you suggest Angelina sing? (Do you want higher volume, pitch, or something else?)
Hmm I would like something with different octaves, maybe Cemetary Gates by Pantera or maybe One by Metallica
She did a xmas album
Angelia Jordon...react to Feeling Good...
try "you Say"
AJ has just released a 5 song Christmas ep called Driving home for Christmas
This performance didn't seem to do it for you that much. Not everyone likes how she might completely redo a song that they are familiar with. That may have happened to you.
She hasn't done any metal, but you should listen to her cover of Queens 'The Show Must Go on ' or 'Mt. Everest' by Labrinth'..I'll link them to you later..
Well if you want to do Christmas songs she just released a new 5 song EP of Christmas music called DRIVING HOME FOR CHRISTMAS
Mark James wrote and performed Suspicious Minds first. Elvis stole his song.Elvis was good stealing songs from others. You can hear Mark James perform his song on youtube. He also wrote Always on my Mind.
