ahaha no, basically I am away right now and they lost my microphone, so I bought one, but it sounded weird so they I used descript to try and clean the audio but it turned out weird, will see if I can fix it as I am here for 2 more weeks
I got it working just fine, but after unticking Constrain Aspect Ratio to remove the black bars, the aspect ratio gets messed up and there is now a pop when the sequence begins and ends. How do I make it smooth without having to have the black bars? I've already tried Override Aspect Ratio Axis Constraint and it doesn't really help.
This is straightforward and easy to understand! Thanks! Question: You know the Dark Picures games? Ive observed that the cameras most of the time, are either on a fixed path, or running on a sequence, but is driven forward or backward based on player location in a scene. For example, when walking thru a tunnel - the camera moves deeper in, but isnt anchored to the player itself but by how deep they are in the tunnel. How would we go about doing this in UE? Thanks
Most of the AAA studios do not use regular cameras/movesets that are default in game engines. There are too much to fiddle around when it comes to camera motion, so there is no chance that you'll replicate the same. But if you like the spesific angles and the way camera moves, i suggest you'll find a good UE course and learn it from top to bottom. Algorithm knowledge is a big plus too.
So if you wanted to trigger a cinematic when the player goes to a certain area instead of pulling off delay would you create like a box with overlapping instead ?
Hello I am a new subscriber and I liked your channel very much I hope you continue posting tutorial videos on Unreal Engine. You really deserve to subscribe and support
Great thank you! Do you have any tutorials on quick time events please? Trying to figure out how to blend from gameplay to a cinematic cut scene with QTE. Love your videos btw!
Hello I wanted to give you ideas if you can put them in Bobo’s Funzone if you use these ideas plz credit me in the game anyways 1.when you reach some point in the game you meet other parents who are trying to also find there children who will help you in teamwork puzzles you can tell them what to do and they will help you 2.there should be a level where there is two monsters Bobo and another animatronic and to beat the level you should kill the animatronic by destroying 3 generators Those are my ideas if you use any of them plz reply to my comment This project looks amazing hope it gets really popular
Now THIS is an important functionality to have in todays game world
Great content man! keep it up!
tysm, cinematics were like 80% of my game and I couldn't even create one lmaooo keep up the work !!
This is an incredibly important tutorial. THANK YOU!!
Clear and concise, thank you! Love the talking-thru-porridge voiceover (see below)
Awesome and simple!
This is the thing I was looking for, thanks!
This explains a lot. Very helpful.

😂
Well in that case, this tutorial serves to also teach how to make extremely unnerving dialogue 😂
I like the voice.
Thank you very much this is amazing
Wow, this is way simpler than i thought it would be, thank you
great tutorial, thank you so much
With this method, could you make the player do animations during the cutscene? Specifically from the player start? Great video, thanks! :)
Im curious about this too
You can, place an actor in the level sequence. Then you can bind the player to that actor in BP and play an anim montage
thank you so much!
how can i make it so when the character touched a part they start this cutscene

when connecting to my character camera, the camera view snaps forward for a breaf second, how can I fix it? thank you for the amazing video
Awesome tutorial, one remark mic sound little bit weird.
will try to fix next upload, I have lost my microphone, can't get it back as I am in a different country at the moment
Can a cutscene be activated when entering a sphere or something similar? If yes, how to do that?
You can do it with a "Trigger Volume" and using the Level Blueprint.
I want to create something similar to a final smash, would I need to do something like this?
Is this similar to how you would make the camera zoom in to focus on an npc after interacting with them for like dialog options etc. ?
For that you would do something different, this is more for when you have a cinematic
@@UnrealUniversity thanks

great tutorial, thank you Unreal University!
love the tutorial i heard two voices speaking that messed with my mind a bit lol
i have a character with animation and when I add the sequence it ignores previous animation blueprints and even after it's done. what's the solution
I have the same problem. It's been bothering me for a long time
I figured out why, if you're using metahuman and you're using a control rig in your level sequences, it will cause the animation blueprints to fail
So if you wanted to trigger a cinematic when the player goes to a certain area instead of pulling off delay would you create like a box with overlapping instead ?
yeah I just added that delay
You can do it with a "Trigger Volume" and using the Level Blueprint.
Ty!
I would like that my scene starts when I enter in a box collision. How can I do that?

@@UnrealUniversity your welcome I’m sure it’s going to be a great game
The audio was too distracting.
good tutorial...but damn your microphone is crappy. If you want to be a tutor, I hope you could have a better setup for it.

Your mic is trash
But how can I make my character do custom animations in the cutscene?
