Only about 40% today, a mate in work had a bad accident today, buggy rolled over and crushed him. Firemen say he's very lucky to be alive.
Also got a funeral tomorrow for a 14yr old boy whos lost his battle with cancer😢

The plane is an RAF A400M cargo plane, nicknamed the "Atlas". Very new plane in service with a lot of airforces, deployed world wide for many transport roles. It was designed to replace the old C-130 Hercules.
A400M, terrible aircraft! Loads of issues with these.
Was 100% yesterday after helping a local farmer fix his claas dominator 203! Was well happy to help.

Hi Olly, the plane you saw is an A400M military transport, operated by the RAF and other western militaries. About 85% today, got a day off to potter about at home for the first time in months which I am really looking forward to! I enjoyed the staff video log update - Liv's rowing up gets a thumbs up from me.
Originally developed as the "FLA"; the usual sources suggested that this was short for "Farcically Large Airfix (kit)".
That plane was an Airbus A400M probably operated by the Royal Air force doing training flights probably. Feeling 70% pulled a muscle in my back yesterday playing cricket.
@jaxbronson9734 It is an A400M, C-17A does NOT have turboprops, and has an even larger fuselage...
@jaxbronson9734 a Globemaster dosnt have props. Its an Airbus Atlas.
The first two are wrong last one is right that was quite clearly an A400M they have propellers C17s are Boeing equivalent to the a400m and the c17s have four jet engine's.

We had a summer's worth of rain in one day. Went from level 2 drought to flash floods. Can't catch a break. Some towns in our region had over 15 inches of rain.
I think that the big plane was doing an "approach" to the airport. It's a way of practicing the correct approach, then when you are happy that you are at the correct speed, height and distance from the runway you power up and fly off again. So say a friend who works at Aberdeen Airport.

85% as finally made it to france on holiday after 14 hours in car. Only 85% as I am exhausted! Loads of combines running through eastern france yesterday, into the wheat down here. Plenty of OSR still not cut mind. Good to get some OSR done.

Seen a couple of those planes in Norfolk this week whist on holiday. Lots of OSR and wheat which looks ready but not seen any combining . Good to see you in combine and enjoying the lives Olly. 90% today.

You haven't had much luck with the headers on the combine latey hope the rest of the season gives you less hassle

My mate farms in Tarland on Royal Deeside and has his own combine so he can cut his malting barley when it is ready rather than waiting for a contractor and I have always wanted to either drive it or ride along but I have never timed a visit to perfection when he has been cutting. The nearest I got was the day he was greasing it up ready for harvest. Maybe this year but these videos have been the next best thing. 99% today the sun was shining I got my i-Pace detailed to my satisfaction where the shine on the paintwork looks like glass did the chore my wife set me, walked the dog and got 10 miles under my belt on my newly acquired eMTB so it is all good before the weather closes in.

The A400M has massive 7 bladed curved props on it. For the size of it, it can land and take-off on a sixpence. The replacement for the Herc. the next plane up from that one that the RAF use is the really big C17, but not as big as the C5 whic only the Yanks fly.

As many have said it was an A400M. We used Liverpool a lot for training “diversions” to civvie airports as it is quieter than Manchester etc. the reason he didn’t land is to save the RAF money. You get charged more if the wheels hit the ground 👍.
With it's high tail-mouted elevator on top of the rudder, and you're saying it's huge, it might be a Lockheed C-5 Galaxy. You must be over by our yank's Holt Naval base in Exmouth? I've been on top of a building about 4 stories high and that elevator looked about my height. Seen 'em at air shows and you're right, they're completely massive.

Feel for you, damaging the header. It does seem to be a bit vunerable. Could you put a bar on the outside to take the hit first? Like a crash bar on my motorbike.

Not sure of the exact type, but I saw that same plane do a go-around, out of my office window at the other end of the airport. When i've seen them before, and checked on flight radar, they have usually flown up from Brize Norton. Also get Hawk trainers doing similar from RAF Valley is it? In Anglesey? Guess Liverpool Airport must be accomodating for training flights?? Must be nearly as good fun as Harvesting, which is easier to hanlde, the plane of the Claas? 😂
