It turned out great!🐦⬛You could age the moss with a few dabs of paint,🪳🕷and a couple of fake bones hung randomly in between the flowers might be something I'd add if I was recreating the same look. You have some great ideas. I'm subscribing🐈⬛
Awesome job,Cassie❤ love it all,a little hint next time you're in dollar tree pick up a jar of instant coffee,to coffee stain your papers etc. with,it works so much better, and you don't have to drench your items, you can even mix instant coffee and Elmer's school glue to give clear bottles a wash inside too. I love using it IC on muslin material to make my items look more primitive and grungy for halloween.
These thrifty witch cottage ideas are amazing and very fun, but simple to do. The overall effect is perfect! Good call on keeping that little cabinet 👻 !
A year late, but I love this! The dried hanging flowers are my favorite. If I had to have a tv above my fireplace, I would do a UA-cam search for vintage witch's cottage frame and have that playing constantly!
That little cabinet would look great country! Like paint country blue chalk paint, antique the paint. Use chicken wire in front door you could clean hard ware or paint gold etc. change the knob. It will look awesome!
I love this and I'm a year late, but watching it now for inspiration for this upcoming Samhain. I think if you do this again this year, you should add a broom to the left of the fireplace. Everything you did was amazing. So freaking creative!!
I plan to do this. Just a thought for the broken bottle, you could wrap it in fabric, leather, or even faux leather, to cover it & make it cool & safe. Thanks for the video!
Ok I just got a glimps of the restore store and that it was close to a movie theater in my town of Lafayette, Louisiana. It's nice to see a local that's a content created.
Wax seal, dip in your sentsy, also love the paper tops on bottles , but maybe muddy up some with a few different shades of paint, so they aren’t all exactly the same. Love all your energy..
I'm so glad y'all are happy, healthy, and BACK!! I have to say that my absolute favorite is your Buc-cee's t-shirt (I'm from TX)! 😂 My second fave is the OUIJA board but your whole mantle area came together spook-tacularly! 😉 Two of my kids got married on Halloween, a year apart, and they all decorate in the apothecary aesthetic (is that a thing?). Can't wait to see what else y'all have to show! 🧛🧟🧙
Oh man--so glad you included that cabinet into the set up! I loved it so much (and the price!) but I was afraid you might not use it. :) Loved what you did and all of the clever DIYs! The end result looks amazing!
Love your awesome style! I think you did just fine on the scrolls, as they are meant to be rolled with writing inside. Beautiful decorations with all of the thrifted items, love it!
I really like your setup!! I would have used spanish moss in gray. Also Halloween gauze cut to drape over the vintage jars does well with coffee and coffee grounds. You could melt wax and dip bottle tops in. It would drip down also. I love witch decor. Your labels are wonderful!! That barrel is a plus!!!🎃🖤🕷🎃🕸🖤🎃VERY CREATIVE!!😁👍🖤
Super cute!!!! I’d add a little dry ice to that pot hanging in the fireplace. A sign or pillow that says “ the witch is in” and a put one of the old brooms next to it. Love it gurl!!!! New subscriber ❤❤❤
I watched this video and found out that my kitchen looks like a cottage witch's apothecary! Good to know. I love what you did, it's spook with class. I Love the skull/face with the moss. I bought a skull and plan to glue some light colored leather to it in a way that looks like the skin is peeling off. That should give people a fright! Happy Halloween!
I never had a "cottage witch" kitchen until we moved here to the farm and I started growing herbs and learning about all the wild herbs that grow around us. Now I have bunches of herbs hanging from the rafters and jars full of them on my open shelves. I think it's a Farmhouse Cottage Witch style Ha!@@DIYsisters_
Hi Cassie. Love how this turned out. Makes me wish even more I had a fireplace. I don't remember who's video I saw last year but they put the bugs in the slime from $Tree toy section. The witch in me is very proud of your work. Creative Blessings!
It’s so beautiful! Great I love it ! Fellow sister of the Dark! I love Halloween! It’s so fun, your take on a witches den is so earthy , love itPam from Camp Verde Az
I did a similar witchy fireplace with the hanging flowers a few weeks ago. I did a video I love it turned out great! I did it last year too. I love how you added the cabinet.
This was just an awesome project. I just love everything about it. I will be using some of these ideas thanks for sharing. BTW If you do decide to donate that little cabinet I'll buy it from you. JS
I'm late to the party here but I think it looks fantastic!! You gave me some great ideas! Thank you! May I ask what paint color you used in your living room? :)
Hi Judy, That was the color when I bought the house! I got really lucky because it’s a lovely natural greenish color. But I’m sorry I don’t know what it is!
Just found you guys, and just started the video, but as a former La. gal, where in Louisiana are you living? Miss the rain and happy people and of course the food. Tfs cheers
The habitat restore in our area has high prices and I've seen stuff on marketplace for free and then a day or 2 later they have it at the restore for like 100 or higher depending on what it is and it's ridiculous
Love what you did here, but I do have a suggestion, if you are trying to make this look like a real witch's apothecary room just remember that a witch in the time of yore wouldn't have battery operated candles, they would have real ones and wouldn't put real candles inches under a wooden shelf like In the cabinet. This is just a suggestion ok, take care and have fun doing more Halloween DIY's.
Im not an overly superstitious person, but the one thing i don't mess with is Ouija boards. Ive heard too many stories. But everything turned out so cute! Love the style!
Girl, I enjoyed this video but I gave you the thumbs up just for you saying those people were crazy for trying to sell that couch for $55.00😂😂😂 They would've gotten me!!!
Funny how people think dirty and disheveled = "witchy". That's a caricature perception, though I guess that's what imitation is, if you boil it down. My real life functioning apothecary, as one who does include witchcraft in daily life, doesn't have a dirty bottle of centipedes. I do have dozens of mason jars full of herbs, flowers, teas, tinctures, decoctions, salves, etc, all clearly labeled and organised. I hope, in the future, people will think to imitate "witchy" in a more genuine way, instead of one that seems silly.
That black pot is an awesome witchy find so jelly lol
I was so excited
Very cute. The gray Spanish moss will give a spookier look
Oh I love that idea! Next year i’ll do southern Halloween and have Spanish moss on everything!
It turned out great!🐦⬛You could age the moss with a few dabs of paint,🪳🕷and a couple of fake bones hung randomly in between the flowers might be something I'd add if I was recreating the same look. You have some great ideas. I'm subscribing🐈⬛

Oo what a good idea!!! Thank you so much. I have some more Halloween projects coming up and I’m going to do that!
It's all so cute I think you need a witch hat in that chair .🍂🌚🎃
Oh definitely!
It looks amazing! So many people would have passed on the “country cabinet” but it was absolutely perfect!
I almost did too!! Something was drawing me to it-so glad you feel the same!! ☺️
This is my first time watching your videos. I’m Impressed. I’m going to check out more
Thank you so much for watching!!
The $5 cabinet is the best! I need one like that for my Halloween potions ❤
So spooky cool👍🏻looks great👍🏻🕷️🦇🕸️🐈⬛
💀☺️💀 thank you so much!!

Love everything except the spirit board. I’d get that straight out of my house.. the vibe is amazing
I saw that thing I her hands and went AW HEZZZZZZZZ NAW! 😂
I also bought it from a thrift shop… so who knows, it might Jumanji me. Hahaha 🤣 (reference: the SNL Jumanji sketch; check it out it’s hilarious)
@@DIYsisters_ I have to agree. I'd get rid of it. If someone opened a portal and didn't close it properly who knows what's flying out of that thing!

Great idea!!
Or have a little skeleton reaching an arm out like it's breaking free of its enchanted confinement...
This was perfect timing. My bff is doing an apothecary shop theme for her Halloween decor. I had to send this to her.
😵 You gotta let me know how it turns out!!!!
I have never used coffee to dye.... I have always used strong tea. I have used it on white doilies to make them look aged, A darker affect.
I’ll have to try that next time!
My first video and i loved! I love the style of it, not just typical decor from the store. Awsome job!
New video -YAY!! love all of this! 🧡🤎🖤
Thank you!! ☺️
Ok I just got a glimps of the restore store and that it was close to a movie theater in my town of Lafayette, Louisiana. It's nice to see a local that's a content created.
Lafayette content creators! Woo! ☺️
Habitat for Humanity is global, and the ReStore is national at least.
Thats honestly gorgeous. I'd never put it away, it would stay like that forever.
Aw thank you so much! That’s so kind.
Amazing.
Thanks so much!!
Especially love the cabinet, the black jars, and the paper topped jars tied with twine.
Thank you!!! Yes I had a feeling about the cabinet when I saw it-glad so many of y’all like it!!
I also have a nail barrel I bought from an auction for $8 and use it for florals. It's so great for different seasons and holidays!
Amazing display. You got some terrific items while shopping and your diys really transformed them.
Thank you so much!! ☺️💀☺️
ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE!
Thank you so much!!
wow that tiny bit or spanish moss at the end really put it all together. i love your style.
I totally agree! Adds that cottage touch
So so so good!

Oh yes. That’s my favorite design aesthetic for sure!!
The small bottles with the metal caps would have been cute dipped in black candle wax. I love everything! 👻🎃🧙🏻♀️🧛🏼♂️🧟♀️🧟♂️🧚🏻♀️🌜🌚🌝🌛
That’s very true!

Just found your channel absolutely loved it all. It looked so beautiful for Halloween. Will be trying some of the ideas. 🎃🎃
Mod pudge and a little paint, easy and ages any glass
Good job!!!! I love the dried flowers. I feel like it pays homage to the bases of potion making.
My favorite part was the dried moss ❤
Yes! Same. Absolutely. ☺️☺️
Hi Cassie.

You can have it November 1st! Hahaha. (Probs in worse shape than you realize) but thank you so much for watching!! ☺️💀
@@DIYsisters_ I'll take it off your hands still. You're welcome. Thanks for the inspiration.
Excellent job!!!
I love it! The Oija Board was great! My daughter would freak over that one. She's terrified of Oija Boards. LOL
I totally understand! The one I found at the thrift store was brand new so I felt better about that. Haha. ☺️ thanks for watching!
Love it.
Absolutely gorgeous I love it..🧡🧡🍂🧡🧡🍂🧡🧡🍂🧡🍁🧡🧡🖤🧡🖤👌👌👌🙋🏻♀️
$5 cabinet? Yes please😊
That all came together very well. The only thing that I’m a ‘no’ on is the centipedes. Lol. I think I’d use moths instead.
Lots Of Work & So Much Creativity! & Very MAGICAL INDEED! 🍁🍂🎃🍂🍁🧙🧹🌿🌻🍶🕯️🕯️🕯️🌸💖💕xoxo Poof!!! ✨🧚♀️🪄💫🌟✨🤗🌼💛💋
I have cicada paper. I am going to use. Maybe stamp the ends
I'm late to the party here but I think it looks fantastic!! You gave me some great ideas! Thank you!

Hi Judy,
That was the color when I bought the house!
I got really lucky because it’s a lovely natural greenish color. But I’m sorry I don’t know what it is!
Your labels look very new for the old bottles. You could crinkle them in your hand before removing the backing to apply them?
Oo good ideas
Do you have a link for the labels?…. Love love love the spooky bottles. Everything turned out Spooktacular!!
Thank you so much! ☺️ Yes the link is in the description!
Just found you guys, and just started the video, but as a former La. gal, where in Louisiana are you living? Miss the rain and happy people and of course the food. Tfs cheers
Those little amber bottles are awesome! Where do they come from?
It was at the thrift store. I have no idea what was in them originally!
@@DIYsisters_ they would make great spell jars.
Can you link those candles? You make me want to leave work right now and go thrifting and DIY!

Creepy cool! 👻🐈⬛💀😘🕷️
Thank you!! It really tows that line!
All looks AMAZING! what part of La are you from? Im 25 miles from Nola
Question about one of your dried florals. What is the one with the big hallow pods?
I have no idea what it was called, but I always see them at Michael’s or Hobby Lobby in the dried flower section!
The habitat restore in our area has high prices and I've seen stuff on marketplace for free and then a day or 2 later they have it at the restore for like 100 or higher depending on what it is and it's ridiculous
I say that DAILY here in TX!!! The majority drive trucks but they Do NOT know how to drive them or park them!😂
Love what you did here, but I do have a suggestion, if you are trying to make this look like a real witch's apothecary room just remember that a witch in the time of yore wouldn't have battery operated candles, they would have real ones and wouldn't put real candles inches under a wooden shelf like In the cabinet. Instead of dirt, use backing soda, cinnimon powder or paprika.
Oo cinnamon! What a great idea
Im not an overly superstitious person, but the one thing i don't mess with is Ouija boards. Ive heard too many stories. But everything turned out so cute! Love the style!
Looks amazing. I am disappointed in the candle link. Definitely not the same ones you used ☹️
Great video….but please get rid of the Ouija board. Way too many people have had bad or scary experiences with them..including me.
Girl, I enjoyed this video but I gave you the thumbs up just for you saying those people were crazy for trying to sell that couch for $55.00😂😂😂 They would've gotten me!!!
I dont know a single Witch who would use a dirty bottle, not hygienic.
Good thing it’s for Halloween decor!

Hello DIY sisters
Hi heather!
Actually I'm gonna get some ideas from this 🥹✨✨🧹your House looks amazing
Thank you so much!! Let me know if you do anything with it!
I love this
