Mam for character c like we first divided into scale and we got the range of c as 0.9 to 1. Then for the resultant range u gave it as 0.96 - 1 . shouldnt it be 0.99 to 1? Can u pls clear it out to me?

In the question the order asked is CAB that's why we have to consider A's range in 2nd scenario i.e 0.9 - 0.96
Ma'am, what if the probability is not given in the question for each alphabet?
It must be given then only you can solve question..

The range of C is 0.9 to 1 so the first character should be start from 0.9
