18:35 an advice for beginners: before trying to get the perfect relic in any level, complete a normal run breaking all the crates and see if you missed any. There are a lot of hidden crates in this game and managin to get to the end of a level without dying only to find out you missed a crate is terrible.
My tip for anyone attempting to get the perfectionist trophy: only do one or two levels a day, if it takes a long time to beat a level take breaks. This will significantly reduce the amount of frustration you'll have to endure and you'll still get the trophy (it'll just take a little longer)
Honestly I don't really agree with this the more attempts you do the more familiar you become with the level and the better you do. Taking a break will cause you to forget important things in the level which will likely lead to stupid mistakes which makes you even more frustrated. I found it best to just sit down and grind out the level in one go.
That’s how I have gotten to 102 percent. 49-52 trophies down. I need 3 trophies now. Time trials all platinum, 106 ending and I get the platinum. I wanted to walk away many times but day by day I stuck with it. I want that platinum trophy.
Collecting the blue gem was an important milestone for me in the game. It was the moment where you realize how much of a struggle the rest of the game will be to complete 106 %

I had it happen to me. I was so angry at myself, I didn't touch the game for 9 month after that. Also the save file for Crash got accidentally written over by my daughter, who wanted to play the game aswell 😂 I was a little bit bummed.

The crazy part is that this used to be even harder because your hitbox in the riding sections was comically small, making is really, really easy to miss boxes. Like in the part at 15:42, he would have missed at least one of those boxes if he had been doing this at the launch of the game. The load times for the levels also were significantly longer, making each reset of a level a punch in the gut.
I only recently found out that they nerfed it. Makes me kind of proud to get the plat back then, ngl. But still, it shouldn't have been so hard in the first place, so I'm glad they did that.

I also did it. Took me more than 100 hours. What helped me was my attitude. When your goal is to become better at this game and not to beat it you don’t rage much and really appreciate small progress
Love the video! I highly recommend to anyone doing this platinum to do the platinum relic, perfect relic and then nverted gem for each level in order. The platinum teaches you how to play the level, which will be really helpful for the perfect relic. Good luck!!
I'm on 31 out of 38 perfect relics. This video is a good distraction from the horror of a level that is Crash Landed. Your face when you missed a high up box in the last polar bear section in Bears Repeating hahaha.
12:15 Actually no. The perfect relic only requires you to get all crates without dying. You're allowed to skip wumpa gems and hidden gems and in fact I'd encourage anyone to ignore them as they make the run harder than it needs to be. After getting the perfect relic, you can revisit the level to get wumpa gems and hidden gems without the fear of dying.

I felt every pain you showed on this video. I 106%ed it at launch a couple years back and it was even WORSE. PS5 wasn't out yet, so when you restarted a level, the loading screen took what felt like 30 seconds. Even worse is the polar bear/Shnurgle riding segments had not fixed the hitboxes yet. So you have to be dang precise on hitting 2x2 crate stacks or you missed at least one and forfeited the perfect relic for that run. It was so insane.

Yeah, Toys for Bob went too overboard with all the collectibles... But some people even took this further by getting all the Purple dev relics too which goes beyond the Platinum ones...
I'm currently going for the platinum and have just the inverse gems and time trials left to do. It's very very hard, but I'm hoping with the platinum relics out of the way, the hardest part it is behind me.

100 percent runs for me were fairly simple but the time trials pissed me off some of the levels are not designed for rushing and it's just luck if you can get a platinum relic.
I won’t lie, this video got me pumped up to play this game. Definitely thought it would be a good game for the PS5 I finally got a while back. So far I completed the story, but I did at least do all the bonus levels, but still need to get all the gems and relics. However, even without those, I thought the bonus levels were pretty challenging on their own. Even if dying in a bonus level doesn’t count, that doesn’t change trying to get all the crates in the bonus levels are difficult on their own. I think even the Cortex levels are interesting, but can also be challenging especially because he can’t do a double jump.
Props, dude, I did the Crash 1 Platinum, and the coloured gems where you can't die were brutal, but I feel like 4 is a different beast entirely. I'm considering trying it, though.

Truly loved watching someone else suffer. I played the game to almost platinum with my old ps4 that had a really vad case of inputlag... After getting all n.sanely perfect relics and golden time relics and the flashbacktape levels I had had enough. Until almost a year later i bought a ps5 and noticed the lag was gone. I tried the first level and completed the platinum time in a few tries. So began my journey toward the platinum trophy and loved/hated every moment. Truly a brilliant game with a perfect ammount of challenge without it being unfair, you just gotta get good. Great video! Brought back a lot of fond memories of the 85 hours i spent on it thanks to that god damn lag 😂👍
It's actually INSANE, if you know what I mean. Once I thought I could platinum all the 4 Crashes, but than I realized it would be too much for my head. Lol. Crash is really, really a difficult game and every time I think "Should I Play it Again?", I watch a video like yours. Nice video, and WELL DONE! I just got the platinum trophy after around 230 hours of absolute torture. There aren’t enough words in the English language to describe how frustrating this game is. The levels are way too long, missable boxes, bugs/glitches galore, and Cortex handles like crap. I have some VERY difficult platinums like Devil May Cry 4 and 5, Cuphead, all FromSoft games etc, but just getting all the N. Sanely Perfect relics and doing all the Platinum Time Trials are by far the hardest things I’ve done in gaming. I almost gave up a few times, but I preserved through and did it. The bonus stages are supposed to be fun, but they’re torture, and the gem path in Toxic Tunnels could be the worst section in modern gaming history. And the plat times for the relics are literal n. sanity. It took me 10 hours to get the plat relic in Jetboard Jetty because the controls are so bad. Rock Blocked is another n. sane contender because you have to be absolutely perfect to get the plat relic. And why did they decide to give a triple spin and not the good running shoes? Did they really need to make it MORE challenging? Still, after 230 hours, I’m finally done. Sorry for all the complaining 😅 There’s just a lot of things that could have been much better in my opinion. If Toys For Bob DOES do another Crash game, they need to scale back on the difficulty, make the levels shorter, give us the running shoes back, make bonus sections fun, and make full completion require only gold relics only. The game stopped being fun after about the 50 hour mark, so they really need to fix that if they do another one. Anyway, congrats on your amazing accomplishment. I know your pain all too well, so take pride in knowing you have one of the HARDEST platinum trophies ever made. HUGE congratulations!

I finished this one back in April of 2021. I have to say, I had way more trouble with getting all the time trials than I did Perfectionist. Either way, a very rough one to do, but I have great memories of playing this game. You do have to be Nsane to attempt the 106% but if you love a challenge, this game is for you, and it’s such a solid game. Anyway, congrats and great job!
First time viewer. Congrats on the plat. I personally find the Crash 4 is super difficult statement that I hear from time to time to be a stretch. I can totally agree that some specific levels and design choices can be defined as nightmare + beating specific times just by the notion it's easy to get anxiety. Best possible approach is to casually spend a few hours to make slow and steady progress before getting burned out. I can't imagine a new Crash project without clever hidden gems or the no hit boxes runs,flashbacks etc. I feel iverted game filters kinda hit the game especially their awesome artstyle for the majority of times but overall I believe Crash 4 was a huge step towards a good direction.
Oh yea don't get me wrong I hope the next game is just as challenging. I love the challenge. I actually had a lot of fun with this Plat (it may not seem like it 😂) Thanks for watching 🙌🏻
18:43 I think the most aggravated I got at a game was going for the CoD World at War platinum years past it’s launch, I did it legit as most do it with mods now. I was stuck on the levels Blowtorch and Corkscrew and Heart of the Reich for a combined time of 3 days (unlimited spawning enemies up until a certain part and playing dodgeball with grenades cuz the spam is actually dumb). It was the first time I broke a controller 😂 but I got it done

Yo congrats on getting the plat for this game ! I immediately uninstalled after I was done I probably have some sort of crash Bandicoot PTSD haha. I definitely missed that hidden box. Done this a few years ago, and it was torture, the stress it caused was crazy ha. And im a very seasoned crash bandicoot player, and people say its a kids game. Im sure its like only 0.13% of xbox users who have unlocked all achievements. Felt so good to finally do it though

It's actually INSANE, if you know what I mean. Once I thought I could platinum all the 4 Crashes, but than I realized it would be too much for my head. Lol. Crash is really, really a difficult game and every time I think "Should I Play it Again?", I watch a video like yours. Nice video, and WELL DONE! Crash is By far, one of the most difficult game ever made. Congrats!

Some of these games are just too stressful but I commend anyone who’s accomplished the impossible and successfully 100% everything as this is definitely the most difficult crash game

I just got the platinum trophy after around 230 hours of absolute torture.
There aren’t enough words in the English language to describe how frustrating this game is. The levels are way too long, missable boxes, bugs/glitches galore, and Cortex handles like crap.
I have some VERY difficult platinums like Devil May Cry 4 and 5, Cuphead, all FromSoft games etc, but just getting all the N. Sanely Perfect relics and doing all the Platinum Time Trials are by far the hardest things I’ve done in gaming. I almost gave up a few times, but I preserved through and did it.
The bonus stages are supposed to be fun, but they’re torture, and the gem path in Toxic Tunnels could be the worst section in modern gaming history.
And the plat times for the relics are literal n. sanity. It took me 10 hours to get the plat relic in Jetboard Jetty because the controls are so bad.
Rock Blocked is another n. sane contender because you have to be absolutely perfect to get the plat relic. And why did they decide to give a triple spin and not the good running shoes? Did they really need to make it MORE challenging?
Still, after 230 hours, I’m finally done. Sorry for all the complaining 😅 There’s just a lot of things that could have been much better in my opinion. If Toys For Bob DOES do another Crash game, they need to scale back on the difficulty, make the levels shorter, give us the running shoes back, make bonus sections fun, and make full completion require only gold relics only.
The game stopped being fun after about the 50 hour mark, so they really need to fix that if they do another one.
Anyway, congrats on your amazing accomplishment. I know your pain all too well, so take pride in knowing you have one of the HARDEST platinum trophies ever made. HUGE congratulations!

congrats dude this is a tough one. i didnt mind going for the n sanely perfect relics but the platinum relics is where i found the difficulty this plat. especially on toxic tunnels, that level can piss off lol

haha! I took A LOT of breaks whenever I started to get tilted so I can just be calm. So much trial and error. I think I only lost a couple year so I should be fine haha
I finished this one back in April of 2021. I have to say, I had way more trouble with getting all the time trials than I did Perfectionist. Either way, a very rough one to do, but I have great memories of playing this game. You do have to be Nsane to attempt the 106% but if you love a challenge, this game is for you, and it’s such a solid game.

Platinum in this game is pure torture
First time viewer. Congrats on the plat. I personally find the Crash 4 is super difficult statement that I hear from time to time to be a stretch. I can totally agree that some specific levels and design choices can be defined as nightmare + beating specific times just by the notion it's easy to get anxiety. Best possible approach is to casually spend a few hours to make slow and steady progress before getting burned out. I can't imagine a new Crash project without clever hidden gems or the no hit boxes runs,flashbacks etc. I feel iverted game filters kinda hit the game especially their awesome artstyle for the majority of times but overall I believe Crash 4 was a huge step towards a good direction.
Oh yea don't get me wrong I hope the next game is just as challenging. I love the challenge. I actually had a lot of fun with this Plat (it may not seem like it 😂) Thanks for watching 🙌🏻

18:43 I think the most aggravated I got at a game was going for the CoD World at War platinum years past it’s launch, I did it legit as most do it with mods now. I was stuck on the levels Blowtorch and Corkscrew and Heart of the Reich for a combined time of 3 days (unlimited spawning enemies up until a certain part and playing dodgeball with grenades cuz the spam is actually dumb). It was the first time I broke a controller 😂 but I got it done
Feel like you did the time trials a disservice here, they were so difficult for some of them! I found them harder than the N Sanely perfect relics for sure
They were definitely a challenge for me the insanely perfects were the real road blocks but it's different for everyone

Yo congrats on getting the plat for this game ! I immediately uninstalled after I was done I probably have some sort of crash Bandicoot PTSD haha. I definitely missed that hidden box. At that point it was like 3 am and I was dead tired and I think I rushed right past it. Thank you for the kind words and the follow! Done this a few years ago, and it was torture, the stress it caused was crazy ha. And im a very seasoned crash bandicoot player, and people say its a kids game. Im sure its like only 0.13% of xbox users who have unlocked all achievements. Felt so good to finally do it though
