We havent had such a historic moment/ level of optimism in the world since this moment in 1989. The end of the Cold War, the end of communist oppression, the wonderful 80s that made us and led to technology and pop culture at its best, the great Reagan years that help us transition into the booming 90s. The world needs something like this again, no more terrorist attacks, no more wars, no more political divisions, no more recessions, just feel good economy booming/ people loving optimism like in 1989.
They should of given the Hoff an oscar and a grammy on the same night for this performance. First man in history to do it. They missed an opportunity there. Yeah, Go Dave, Sing it !!
@El Gusanillo Del Juego Can you give an example of another wall in the modern developed world? PS. I don't have an ideology, mainly because an ideology is crappy by definition. Sounds like you might be sympathising with one though
I never knew this was a thing it’s so bizarre. Like imagine today if North Korea opened its borders and reunified with the South within a year and that’s obviously crazy enough. Now add to that the night of the border opening there was a random American celebrity there singing about it (Lin Manuel Miranda singing from Hamilton probably). Like lol what
American celebrities love to stick their nose's into everything I guess🤷♀️🙄. Honestly, it was the best day/night of my whole life, but I could have made it through the night without him as well🤦♀️😅
Actually what happened was, an Austrian fan knocked in hid door in LA and asked for an autograph. She told him one of his songs was number one in Austria. Hasselhoff called his agent and asked him to book a tour. While staying in Berlin organizers asked him to perform in his hotel. He agreed, but asked to perform at the wall. Theu set it up. If you listen, thousands are singing along. This performance made him a beloved cultural icon in Germany and Austria. Right place, right time.
That would devastate the S Korea economy and knock their GDP down from the top 20 if they reunified w/ N Korea. And also Hamilton is overrated and outdated so no.
Lol, that firework missed him for an inch. He made himself a singing target with his flashing jacket, of course. I remember this pretty well, I think I was a year or 9.
