it's been a minute since I posted over here.. what's upppppp????
Hiiiiiiii
More videos!! ❤🎉
hiii
Yay ❤❤
Hiiiiii! You should try to make dragons beard candy!
the fact your dad loved and ate every single one of the squares is so funny and cute 😆
"no onion or garlic" welp dang, that's like in of half of my meals usually lol.
Could always add some! I think it is for the FODMAP maybe?
Yeah I think it's specifically for us ibs girlies who can't do fodmaps!!
What is FODMAP?
its a type of carbohydrate some peoples bodies can't process, giving them stomach issues@@michelledml3162
@@amara560 I’m not sure it’s that, tho, because broccoli and asparagus are also a big NO for FODMAPs. So if they’re going to have those veggies, they could have garlic and onion in them. But there are some religions that avoid eating garlic and onion, and I kinda wonder if some of the founders or backers follow one of those religions…
the kermit shirt is peak fashion
I can totally see this being super helpful for individuals who need a softer diet, such as after jaw surgery. And also, for older individuals, who want smaller portions, easy to prepare, and are still nutritious
as someone who had jaw surgery, these absolutely would not be allowed. jaw surgery usually means you have to have your jaw wired shut and having your jaw wired shut means a liquid-only diet
I’d stack them like a sandwich or sushi. Rice, spinach and salmon with some soy sauce. Or chicken, rice and sweet potato. The mix of the foods might be better than each separate bite.
They should make flavors that you can make a burger out of!
I was imagining them striping the flavors and swirling them in fun patterns like the way candies are made and yeah it would taste better
Or lasagna
Reminds me of baby food. Grind it up and put it in an ice cube tray. 😄
right?! 😂 i was like....that's my baby's food 🤔
This is a product for the people who say they don't like food and they just eat because they have to.
Who are these people & why are they alive?
@@slaymeone of those people is me and I know a few others too, I have really brittle teeth(genetics) so it causes pain, I don’t like sitting still so meals have always been uncomfortable, i was diagnosed with afrid when I was a kid, and to this day, are there certain things Id say are good, absolutely, but do I enjoy eating ? No, it hurts my teeth’s, tummy, and food is expensive for no reason, I strictly buy chicken, rice, and try to switch veggies I eat. But it’s because that’s the most basic cheap option for eating for nutrients
@@slaymemy bad I just took you onna one way trip aboard the yap train
@@slayme I sorta get the feeling, I love food, but yes, these people exist 😅 and for them it's definitely a good product! I could never though...
@@slayme So I'm kinda this. I LOVE food when it's good special food. Like when I go out to eat and have something really great. But I absolutely hate having to eat 3 times a day. I have ARFID like the other person mentioned, and so I like less types of food than the average person. So yeah, I love food, but would gladly skip any average day to day meals if I could.
"Grab me a chicken square!!!"🤣😂
Mia! Remember last time, you went to Japan and could not try the green mochi due to your allergy? Mochi is very hard to make too. How about you try to make it with Mama Maple for the next episode of trying difficult recipes ❤
It's not that difficult tbh! You just microwave the dough in increments and fill with whatever you like. But she should definitely make it 😍
@@thespankmyfrankmaking the dough yourself is the hard part have you seen the traditional way? A whole workout 😂
It's not hard if you use use good quality glutinous rice 😊
@@diddlybopbut you can buy mochiko and just add water
I guess it would be hard if you did it the proper traditional way but you can make some decent mochi at home with pretty minimal effort. I’ve done it before and it was easy.
The mama maples first gulp was a very adequate reaction
It was SO audible 😂
I have ARFID (Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder) and this looks like a dream solution to my nutritional issues. I hope someday they ship to my country and thank you for testing! I wanted to provide a lesser known perspective for anyone else struggling with ARFID or even OCD or people on the spectrum with a lot of restrictions when it comes to eating
Really good for depression days as well imo, when deciding to/what to eat & cooking & managing enough calories/nutrients is debilitating or overstimulating. As an extension of my autism & adhd that's a really big challenge w mental illness. Being so quick, it doesn't require a whole new chapter of your day either which can block up my train of thought and redirect my energy from healing or focusing. Definitely couldn't do it everyday though :/
I feel like meal replacer shakes could be a great option for that as well. Just 2 or 3 of them a day and you are set
Also have ARFID, and I am so thankful they huel is a thing now. I was looking at those squares and thinking "but what about the texture? Are they the same or different?"
I also agree as someone who struggles to eat a lot of the time and also other times when I’m just plain mad that I have to eat multiple times a day and not just for fun meals when I feel like it. This is a dream. I always say I need a kibble or something where I don’t have to think about it. I imagine these are pricey tho! I’ll have to look into it. Would love for this type of thing to be available at normal supermarkets
I have Selective Eating Disorder so same as ARFID and I would 💯 give these a go because I can't eat the "normal" food
honestly, i think mama maples was onto something when she first suggesting this food could be for people that don’t like eating! it may be an easier option to consume for people who have difficulty, as the square shape doesn’t usually associate with ‘normal’ foods ☺️☺️
This is something that serious hikers would love. It's compact, lightweight, and packed with nutrients on their way up a mountain or somethin
Is Mama Maples talking about avocado toast and she’s saying asparagus toast? 😂 And Mia is oblivious! 🤣
I put asparagus on toast? Are avocados the only thing that can go on toast? 😂
@@danielle1341I was thrown off by the "smear" of the asparagus
@@danielle1341it’s just an unlikely pair 😂
No, asparagus on toast is a common thing
@@florentinepogenWhere? Also, is it mushy and spreads?
That Dad Maples wholeheartedly loves it is the twist I never expected!!
I love that Papa Maples loved these 🤣
“It needs cheese.” 😂 a Mama Maples tidbit of advice that applies to any situation really 🤷🏻♀️
Tbf, cheese could come in squares; it wouldn't look too off paired with these. XD
I just got home from a concert (Zara Larsson), had a cupa tea, and now I'm in bed under a heated blanket watching this video. Life ain't so bad! 🥰🥰
Sounds like quite the *lush life* even 😅 - hope you had the best time at the concert!
Sounds like a good day, I love this vibe
Things like these definitely have a lot of potential for people with textural issues, like autistic people. I can see myself preferring a bland cube of meat or rice over a really flavorful meal full of risky texture (I'm autistic.) I can also see it being great for people with dentures (both of my parents have dentures) as a good middle ground between soft or liquid foods and foods that are tough to chew. I think this product just needs to find a better target audience, because there definitely is one for it!
I love how different people are because I'm autistic myself and I would not be able to eat these at all. I hate the way the food looks and it makes me gag even thinking about putting it in my mouth and it looks like a texture I would not enjoy at all😅 But it does have potential and I agree that this could be a life changer for a lot of people, hopefully it gets more global for people to try it in other places in the world
I agree! Also for people with eating disorders such as ARFID like myself
Mama Maples expressions say so much about every vegetable option 😂
OMG the lighting was ✨IMMACULATE ✨ in the scenes where the rear window looks overblown. Everything was just glowing with a beautiful luminescence. And it seemed like there was a warm tint to hair and lips which, even if it's not accurate to real life, was amazing. Idk if the image quality was better too but it looked as though it was, especially in those first close up shots. White balance for the outdoors be damned those shots were gorgeous. 📸
Are you by chance a photographer?
@@singingfan A baby amateur. I've only ever had access to an old Nikon D 90 DSLR and I shoot mostly stills outdoors. Mia's videography is always professional but it's never really taken my breath away like those first few scenes in front of the window. For whatever reason, that exposure and those colors just really make me sit up and pay attention.😊
I am so confused that this is even a thing. Who is their market audience? This isn’t appetizing to me at all. Even in a rush, I’d much rather have a frozen meal than these squares.
I would imagine probably more like people who can't eat solids. My mom can only eat pureed foods after loosing half her tongue to cancer. But she found a company that take pureed food and shapes it into the food. My mom likes it better so it's not like she's eating slop in a bowl like a pig 😅
@@bettyjane3321that’s a really good point. Nothing close to this had occurred to me.
I lost my appetite from my seizure meds a little under a year ago and kept saying I wish I could basically just take a pill for my meals cause I had to force feed myself. Chewing makes that process so much worse and theres no incentive to cook yourself food when you're not hungry so I'd often skip meals. I would have loved this, wish I knew about it earlier.
Oh and I also have GERD so the no onion/garlic is a big selling point for me.
clearly they were thinking of Papa Maples when they came up with this lol
Mama Maples' face when she says "it's not the best" is really saying she's being generous 😆
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'm genuinly wondering; do you actually feel full after an entire "meal" (like three or four squares)? Does it fill up the same as a plate of food, or is your stomach just going crazy in frustration?
I thought the same!!!
The “grab me a chicken square!!” Whilst running on the spot killed me 😂😂😂
Same😂
Toooo many squishy sounds!! lol 😂
I agreeeee
So glad it wasn't just me lol
Had to stop watching because of it, I couldn’t handle 🤢😢
@@brookewhitelaw7637 Same!
I have misophonia, so I was struggling 😩
I love this channel so much! It’s so much fun and it’s so chill
As someone who had bariatric surgery in the last year, I’m actually very intrigued! It’s hard to consume enough protein in the serving size I can tolerate. Thanks for the introduction, I’m excited to try!
Omg I literally love videos with your mom - your channels are such a comfort to watch ❤
I love the vids you do with your mom!! The relationship between the two of you is so sweet!! You guys are awesome! ❤❤❤❤❤
Imagine taking 4 different squares, cutting them into quarters, then putting it back together but each full square is made up of a meat and 3 veg and then you just eat one square 😂😂 also these would be great for a lunch box 🤷🏼♀️😂
Finally a video on this channel and with my favorite duo. Love how Momma Maples is always up for the challenge of whatever Mia throws her way. They make such a great team!
The way this is perfect for on-the-go college students with no time to eat between classes. I'm only 6 minutes in, and I want to try them.
yessss!! i’m a full time college student who works full time and this would be so helpful
Yay!!! Missed the videos in this channel ❤
MIAAA I MISSED YAAA you made my day thank you sm for posting girl
Knowing that your dad loved every single one of them, I wish we could've had all 3 of you taste testing at the same time, I know it would be hilarious
I want to thank your mom for giving me serotonin every time I see her in your videos ❤
I’ve never seen food squared like this before!
Thanks for test tasting for us Mia and Mama Maples!
This is actually pretty amazing for people with depression. Currently in IOT for depression and ADHD/Autism amongst other reasons, and honestly having easy prepared meals within seconds sound like a dream. No more just granola bars. Thanks for sharing this video, never knew about square foods before!
yup! i'm used to eating cereals/cookies when i can't cook my usual pasta/rice and i could use more fish and greens in my diet :')
🎶 Mama and Mia, here they post again. My my, how can we not watch them?🎶
THIS IS GOLD!!
I love mama maples😭 so wholesome
I love these kinds of videos!
i’ve missed this channel so muchhh mia
The fact your dad loved them/ate them all is the best part 😂
loved Drew's video about this and completely forgot about this but now I'll have to rewatch it after your video
Great!!!! Gonna be watching your video before sleep, great timing for me now ❤🌃
I enjoyed this video!! I would love to try this food, love the quick & easy aspect of it. Have a gorgoues day💚
Ok so this gives me Soylent Green vibes. If you haven’t seen the movie, it’s worth a watch! (The future food is squares and the company is Soylent, green is one of the options).
I just wrote that! You're right - 1973, Soylent Green!
Soylent is actually a meal replacement drink company. So we are actually getting there!
Yes! I wrote the same thing before I started reading the comments!
And we all know how that ended……Soylent green is PEOPLE! 😂
Mama Maples utter devotion to Mia's videos!
I was just binge watching your videos and happily see you upload a new one😂
Your videos are therapeutic🖤 keep uploading.
A video ON A MONDAY? Truly blessed!!!!
Mama Maples look of sheer disgust when seeing the food 😂 And she still kept an open mind.
I have been watching you for a while because i love your videos, and i thought I have watched every video of yours, AND YOU HAVE ANOTHER CHANNEL. This just made my week. (sorry for the grammar)
I love how much effort she puts in her vids!
These little squares remind me of the ‘food’ in the 1973 movie “Soylent Green”. This movie is kind of prophetic. I suggest people watch it if they can.
I wish I knew this existed - I had 3 jaw surgeries and you get put on liquid/puréed/soft food diets throughout recovery and I never was able to keep up with intake of calories …. genius idea for those who can’t properly chew.
I’m currently recovering from the 3rd jaw surgery (bilateral total jaw joint replacement) and could use it now 🤣
the taste test video I never knew I needed!! I’ve never heard of these and this is a v interesting concept
I love this!!!!!!!!!! Then again who doesn't love more Mia Maples
I would love to have dinner with Mia and Mama Maples ❤ What an interesting concept although not sure I’d be into it either but then you have Papa Maples who loves it so 🤷♀️
free of onion + garlic = free of most flavour 😭😭
As someone who eats many meals without onion and garlic, I see people believing in this way too often ! If one knows how to use spices properly, the absence of onion and garlic will rarely, if ever, be known. I don't speak for onion and garlic centric food, like garlic bread, because that would obviously be incomplete without them , but most dishes would taste just as good with spices used properly ☺️ You could search for these recipes online, they're plentiful. Hope that helps!

Hi Mia!! you bring so many smiles!!
Your videos literally make me laugh all the time ❤️❤️
As someone who HATES squishy things- ✨no thank u✨
These are perfect for your dad though 😂😂
Its honestly giving space food 😂
Space food probably taste better. 🤣
I absolutely love your second channell
Always fun when one of your fav UA-camrs mentions they watch another one of your favorite UA-camrs 😊
Were the chewing noises edited in 😭😂
I kind of had a feeling that the vegetable ones would be the worst... I've never gotten any packaged ground up veggies that were actually nice. 🥦Entertaining video, but I'm a bit sad that you cut out the rating the best squares part, I was very curious about that!
I can't believe this company is still on the go! I saw that video years ago... I definitely thought they wouldn't have the customer base to keep this going.
I love how you’ve been talking about your allergies more lately as a fellow allergic-to-everything girly it makes me audibly say “me too!!!” every time you mention it 😂
I wish you would have talked about the price. How much was each pack? How much was each one individually? How much does a meal cost? How much was shopping? Are there specials or bundles? It seems like it would be very expensive especially since you'd need 6 "cubes" per meal. It looks like you got a lot of food at first but when you think of how many you need for a single person, that's not a lot of food.
I was feeling so sad seeing your notification light me up a bit 🥲
Hope you're feeling better, sending internet hugs
I literally rewatched Drew’s video last week ❤
The sound effects😨😩
The asmr of the chewing was almost unbearable for me. 😅 Super cool food idea but damn I could not listen to someone else eat it.
Mia you should make a video of making meals with these! Like the pasta your mom said with the beef and etc !! Love you 😢 see how they cook when making them into meals
I loooove the shirt Mia it’s amazing 🤩
Such a ridiculous waste, so much landfill and so much plastic in such close contact to your food. This is disturbing.
Love you so much!!
You guys are the best.
I like the video before I even start ohhhhhh I love when Mia uploads 🤩🤩🥰🥰
Omg I loved that Drew Gooden video! I rewatch it all the time lol. I'm so glad you decided to try them out for yourself! I think I'd like to try it myself someday.
I would love these!
I watched this at 5am this morning on my way to work but like 😂 it's a good day when there's a second chan vid ❤ the sound effects though 😂

Use potato flour (sometimes sold as potato starch) to coat your sweet potato to get crispy sweet potato fries. Soak your sweet potatoes in water for at least 30 mins, rinse thoroughly and dab off as much water as possible and then coat them with potato flour and whatever herbs and spices EXCEPT for salt. Salt added before cooking will make sweet potato fries soggy but you can use it after.
This video being on the trending page is so in brand for Mia. 😂 Gotta love when your second channel post takes off
haha loooooove mama Maples!!🥰
Finally, I was waiting for an upload on this channel
My favorite duo in the world 🤣❤️
You guys are so funny 😂
This is honestly SUCH A COOL VIDEO!! I have never heard of this, but I will be telling everyone about it. I can def see this being useful.
I suffer with meal preparation and portioning the food, this would be super helpful! I like the idea!
This could actually be a REALLY good product for people with sensory issues, like my fellow autistics and ADHDers. A lot of autistic people have issues with textures more than they do flavor, though some can be very flavor dependent but texture is more common. If the textures of the meals are very consistent, I could see it being a huge draw. I also prefer mushy, or smoothed, blended, etc products because it triggers my TMJD, though i do LOVE crunchy food (i miss being able to snack on raw carrots), so this could also be good for people that have disorders with their jaws, dental issues, and perhaps swallowing issues. A lot of us also have issues sensing when we are actually hungry (some just eat because they know they HAVE to) or when we are full, so set portions of meals is often a good idea to understand how much you need to eat.
I could also see this helpful for people recovering from certain dysfunctional eating habits, for the same reason that it could be helpful for autistic folk that have internal sensation issues. I for instance dont notice I’m hungry until my head is hurting, getting shakey, or lightheaded, and on the opposite end i don’t feel like I’m full until I’m STUFFED (my “salads” are big enough to stand alone as a family of 4 large side salads) and often eat by volume.
I’d have to try it myself though before recommending it to others in autistic-led facebook groups, but i might bring this up to see if anyone has tried it. I know some folks that have been hunting around for years for a full-nutrition, meal shake type meal because of texture/flavor issues or just get too distracted to eat.
this video has made my monday 10000x better
Mia can always be counted on for the belly laughs from edits and sound effects
I really love Mama Maples' hair in this video.
