    I been a taxidermist for a few years now but I still struggle with deer eyes getting a good proper critter clay set on building the eye lids and brows it’s not easy

    Will it not break the hair to brush him like that? My husband always tellS me not to touch the hair on his wall mounts bc the hair will break

      Grooming requires vigorous back-brushing and the hair is quite durable and should be able to withstand it! To do it right, once the deer is dry, it requires hours of back-brushing to lift all of the hair and then groom to a natural position.

    Do u use apoxie sculpt under the antlers base where the hide goes around?

      We use a very thin amount of Apoxie Sculpt to replace the tissue removed in proper fleshing and thinning of the leather. Make sure to tune into our Thursday Lives on our Facebook Page "Matuska Taxidermy Supply Company" at 4:00 PM CST :)
