  • For under $10, we cruised up the Bosphorus, which separates Europe from Asia, to the Black Sea.

Background Information on Chris Edwards and Elaine Weeks
In one life. we reside in historic Walkerville, home of world-famous Canadian Club whisky. In our other life, we travel to exotic locales.
Chris travelled extensively before meeting Elaine in 1980- the couple married in 1986- and they spent a year searching for paradise in a backpacking honeymoon trip around the world. The stories contained in this blog are all true; no names have been changed to protect the innocent, as they typically do not need it, and the guilty love the attention.

For the past 8 years, we've been performing a Vanishing Act: disappearing from winter then reappearing in tropical climes, particularly SE Asia.
We have two adult offspring, co-owned three advertising/marketing agencies, have produced numerous traditional and new media projects, thanks in large measure to the adoption of Apple desktop publishing technology way back in 1985, developed by mercurial Steve Jobs (we miss ya Steve!).
We operate a traditional/new media hybrid publishing company based in Windsor Ontario.
We've produced and/or collaborated over 60 books, including our own several best-selling titles:

You can visit our corporate website at:

For 8 years, we produced 61 issues of a community magazine called The Walkerville Times, later renamed The Times Magazine, while supporting an online blog called Windsor Then Windsor Now and several FaceBook Groups.

Our home base is in the Border Cities region of Windsor-Detroit: the historical 19th century company town still called Walkerville by the locals.
