Glad to see you took my advice on Red! You're doing good progress so far. Nice job! Couple more tips: 1) You NEED to use Vanguards. They have the ability to generate extra DP (Deployment Points). Some Vanguards generate DP by activating their skills (like Fang); other Vanguards generate DP by killing enemies (like Plume). You must always bring 1 or 2 vanguards in your team to generate DP, in order to deploy the rest of your operators much faster. Vanguards are also very cheap to deploy; perfect for dealing with the first few enemies at the beginning of a stage. 2) Never let your operators die. When an operator's HP is about to reach zero, WITHDRAW THEM. This will refund half of their DP cost. If you let them die instead, you won't get any DP back.
If you look at the intermezzi and side stories screens, in the upper right there it shows 2/2 tokens. You get another every week but can only hold a max of 2. These you spend to permanently unlock these extra stories. You definitely want to make sure you are using them to start unlocking stuff even if you're not going to do the stories until later so you don't overcap and not get a new one each week. You eventually will unlock everything, so I wouldn't stress on which to do as much as just making sure you spend them each week. The stories are in chronological order top to bottom so you could just unlock stuff in order.
Enjoyed watching your video! It’s nice to see you using Lapland more often, cuz elite 2 makes her significantly better in every aspect! And it’s critical in this game to get familiar with all the operators’ you have, it can help you to make max use of their talents and skills!
Having an E2 operator this early in the story is actually BROKEN, so you should probably center your strategies around getting Lappland on the battlefield as fast as possible to deal damage. Let her do most of the damage and take most of the hits for you. Also, her second skill is actually her better skill, so try setting it as her default (and make sure she has her second skill active in your squad). I’m not sure if the promotion voucher levels her skills as well, but make sure that her skills are level 7 (or if you do not have the materials then as close to 7 as possible). With her in your team, all you really need to worry about is leveling up Fang, Beagle, Kroos, and Ansel, and then you should be all set. [Edit: Of course, you’ll need other operators in your squad; I’m not saying to only being these ones, just that you should prioritize leveling them up along with other 3 and 2 star operators.] Definitely make sure to level your medics and melee operators, as surviving seems to be your biggest struggle here. And Fang should be the only vanguard you need at this point, so make sure to add her to your squad and put her on the field first as recommended by other players.
Nice job at beating W. Act 1 chapter 3 has some really good moments, so I think you'll enjoy it. The Intermezzi are great side stories, though I wouldn't suggest doing them just yet since the later levels of those stories recommend Elite 2 level 25 - level 50 operators. So you'd probably only be able to get part of the story before having to grind to upgrade your characters.
Heloo again fellow dokutah, You discovered the font of free characters the Intermezzi, curretly i dont think you will going too far, but but the free character you can obtain in the 4th stage, the most important character wise its : Under tides. A specialist that can pull enemies, can block 2, and its cheap to deploy. And yeah your team is in need of a Vanguard but dont worry, anniversary is coming next month you will receive 23 pulls in a special banner so dont worry too much right now
Intermezzi are events that are tie back to the main narrative in some way, either focusing on important characters or expanding the lore of certain topics. Since they are connected to the main narrative, there may or may not be spoilers for you depending on where you are in the main story. You're probably tired of seeing this now, but Vanguards. They're intended to be the early deployments in a battle with their low DP cost, and their DP generation is meant to help you get your other Operators on the battlefield faster.
Ngl... watching someone play the game for the first time gives me some real anxiety. Ive gone back and reviewed some old clears on these stages and i was much the same lol. Theres a LOT of stuff in Arknights. Youll get to experience it and make progress and grow dont worry. But dont let those stages go without clearing 3 stars if you can manage it. Oh and youre not there yet but dont be afraid to borrow operators (support operators) for any stages that you dont need to farm. If youre not spending money youll have to pick and choose when to draw. Youll hear lots of "this unit is completely busted" over the next year. You dont need them. Just find a play style you like and units you like to go with it. Im sure youve already heard but you can complete most stages with 3-4 star operators. 6 stars make it easier but not "easy mode" and the year 1 operators still work even if theres more powerful operators now.

Also 3 star the stage give you auto farm the stage to get materials for your operators, as long as you dont borrow operator from your friend list (support operator).
