Like many viewers, I was bereft when Carrie Todd Marler was written off the show so abruptly. Jane Elliot was magnificent in the role which encompassed multiple personalities. It was such a cheat not to be able to see Carrie fully recover, and Marland's subsequent departure resulted in nearly a year of convoluted storylines.
She was amazing! Even though her character was inadvertently to blame for the death of one of my most favorite characters (Diane Ballard), Carrie was my #1 favorite at the time she was written out. The Carrie Todd-Marler murder trial (very early in '82) was mesmerizing and so many past details came to light, especially in regards to how Carrie & Diane once knew one another back in Omaha and how Diane was responsible for Carrie's husband's suicide. Only Marland could unravel a yarn like that with such aplomb. Was always hoping Carrie would eventually return. Would've been neat if strange incidents began occuring around her, only to have it turn out that someone was gaslighting her into thinking her "alternates" had returned....
I loved the Carrie Marler story
VenusMonkey I sure wish there was more video of the "bad" Carrie.

Someone in this world MUST have the episodes of Carrie's trial for Diane's murder...someone must!
@@schuyler10 I'm REALLY hoping that some episodes will pop up here one day, shocking the hell out of us (in a good way). 🙂
Josh was blackmailing Lesley Ann
I like the original Morgan better, but this Morgan and Amanda look more like sisters.
The original Morgan was whiny
