One thing i noticed, that this particular turbo has an electrical actuator and does not have the vane movement stopper screw. I think it's movement characteristic is in the ECU. On vacuum operated actuators there is usually a vane movement stopper screw. You have to check and compare the small lever movement(inside the hot core) with the old core. The adjustment may be off and it may cause overboost spikes or underboost. Readjusting it, turbo off again in many cases.
Hey I have the same turbo on my 2009 e60 n47,i did replace the cartridge yesterday beacuse it was leaking oil in to intercooler, took my time on it. I've putted everything back together, fitted it to the car and it won't rev over 2k rpm, turbo it's spooling. Plugged in my obd reader and it came up with 41a2 fault code which is actuator related from what I've seen. I didn't mess around with actuator, literally unbolted it,removed securing clip and put everything back together the same way, didn't drop the actuator or turbo. Any ideas what could possibly go wrong? Ive checked all the pipes, connections etc and everything seems ok
great video,thumbs up

Once the core is replaced do I need to calibrate the wastegate actuator?
Nice job mate
Thanks 👍
Once you rebuild the turbo do you not need to have it balanced 👍
Turbo cores are supplied balanced.
Hi mate where you based as need a turbo replacement
great video. where did you get the turbo core from?
I purchased the turbo from a Mellet supplier. The make decent cores and I trust them

how long should I drive with rebuilt turbo for it to properly brake in, also when is it ready for stage 1 chiptune?
Usually a few hundred miles just depends on the quality of the CHRA. Chinese ones will die stock so I wouldn’t even map those ones.
@@piovo1 i drove 13000km and remaped it, drove about 1000km and no issues so far, wish me luck haha
Its for n47 engine?
Hi where can I find u guys
+1
😂😂
