@@Zetaphotography well, many many photos. To be honest, I ended up upgrading to the m10 monochrom. But this was about 8 months after I scored a crazy good deal on the 246. I would recommend the m246 to anyone who asks, and if they can afford and choose to, the m10 and m11 monochrom. Gracias por la información y inspiración.
I came here to see a review of the Monochrom 246 and wow ... great BW photos and great review. Thanks Shootng the 240 M-P ... I m very close to pull the trigger on a monochrom one ... Best
Thank you, my friend and glad you liked the photos and video. The MP240 is a great camera, I sold mine in order to get this Mono, they are essentially the same and feel the same minus the color sensor. I haven’t tried the newer Monochroms yet but I’m are they are amazing.
Great video and Photos as always. I own a Leica Q2 and I’m thinking of buying my first Leica M. If you have to choose between the M240-P and the M246 which one would you choose and which one do you think is a better investment overall?
Hard to say, like I said on the video, this camera is more of a specialty item. If you are happy with your Q2 for color photos and with the fixed focal length then I would get the Mono so you can have the best of both worlds.
Sweet! I would love an M-D, I know it’s also a camera not for everyone but the lack of LCD seems like such a great way to keep things simple and with less obstruction.
I don't know whether I am hearing correctly. The presenter says at 3:50 that the Typ 246 is based on the m10 with a 40Mpixel sensor. But this is not correct. The typ 246 is based on the typ 240 and has 24Mpixel sensor.
@@JLStreetDoc huh? Why would I not want to give the info? If I remembered the artist I would have told him. Anyhow, I recorded this video a while ago and like I said, it was a royalty free track I found.
The monochrome images that come out of my M240 feel more organic to me. The M246 although better on paper as far as ISO performance and sharpness, seem to produce very flat images, from what I have seen in many YT videos and sample images on the web. I feel very reluctant buying one.
the sentence "there is really no digital camera that can capture the true essence of photography like a rangefinder" is the the most conviluted statement ive ever herd from someone who doesnt make thier living from photography. anyway we all get to that place at some point and randge finders are special but they dont make photography better. all the best
I never claimed a rangefinder camera makes photography better, I was simply sharing my own personal experiences. What does shooting professional or not have anything to do with that statement? At the end of the day you shoot with whatever camera inspires you, whether you are a pro, semi pro or just a hobbyist.
Haha kazon making money from photography doesn’t make you any more credible. Almost the opposite I would argue. Passionate hobbyists are driven by real interest, curiosity and creativity.
Third time watching this superb review. You are right on the money. Great images too. Thx!
Thanks a lot my friend! Glad you liked the video and my photos. Cheers 🍻
Bruh- so good to see you back- I dig this channel so much...
Thanks. I need to post more photography stuff, I know.
i like the look of your images, reminds me of pushed ilford HP5+ film which is my absolute favourite one.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the images. I shoot with HP5+ but I am more of a Tri-X myself when shooting B&W film. Cheers 🍻
I really like the video and, most of all, the pictures. Thank you for sharing.
Sweet, glad you enjoyed it.
Great review, but more importantly, fantastic photos.
Thank you, Craig! Glad you liked the photos.
Good video - Thank you for posting this. A Monochrom Typ 246 is definitely on my radar, as a second camera body to my M10-R.
Thanks! I think this camera will definitely compliment your M10-R. Good luck.
Your going backwards from an M10
Thank you for making this video. I appreciate it as it helped me make my mind up to purchase a used M 246.
Awesome! I hope you enjoy it, it’s an amazing camera.
How many images have you taken with the M246? Any presets for editing

Amaizing photos 📸
Your photos are superb! Thank you.
Thank you so much.
Well-done! Liked, and subscribed. I actually saw your more-recent m 246 video, before this one.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed both videos. And thank you for subbing, I appreciate it.

I shoot the M246 Mono alongside the M-D 262. Love them both.

great how we like both 90s pr and leica camera's :-) Happy shooting
Awesome! Thanks.
Very charming photographs !
Thanks! Glad you liked them.
Great photos.
Thank you!
I love Black & White
Cool, me too.

I said the newer (at the time of this video) Monochrom was based on the M10.
Good video What is the music in background Name of performer
Thanks, something I got from UA-cam library, don’t remember the name.
But you could have looked it up? 😂
Not a people pleaser I take it. Lol
That’s hard!
Thanks for the vid. I was looking at a used one.

@@90sPunkRockCovers I’m just messing around man. Hence the laughing emoji.
What lens did you use on the photos?
A combination of a 50mm Summilux and a 35 Summicron.
I use my pair of M240s daily and have always wanted to try a mono 246.... Nice video and images...
Thank you my friend. The 246 will feel right at home coming from the M240. I sold mine but I’m tempted to buy one again, such a great camera.

I love my M Typ 246
It’s a fantastic camera!
🔥🔥🔥
Thank you…
The background score is simply one of the best. Is that your own creation too?
No, that's just something I used from the UA-cam audio library, thank you!
Gréât review and mainly great pictures. Can you confirm the sensor is full frame (but monochrome). I thought it was aps-c…
Full frame, cmos sensor
It’s a full frame camera.
Summilux 50
