Quran instruction is a beautiful way. we cant be aggressive in dawa and hostile. this is not the Prophet's way. even though nonmuslim can be hostile we should not. keep cool the truth will always win.

The brother at the beginning Sean. I really respect and admire his want for truth. It really does show where a man is mentally that he's not a blinded ox, that he doesn't just take the scientific method as the only way to truth like so many sheep do, that he is leary to harken onto a premise and scientific study which he indeed has not seen or done himself as he is leary of the testimony and flaws of man. Absolutely beautiful and I commend him wholeheartedly for having his wits and strong convictions. He is indeed on the right path and May Allah guide him to what is good.
Ustahd Imran has a wealth of knowledge and really is patient with conveying. He should seriously consider teaching. I am 42yrs old and who would enjoy thoroughly taking lessons from him.

I didn’t like dr imran’s style couple of years back. Now i think I’m impressed with his eloquence. Nothing seems to shake him and he hits the nail right on the head and completely incapacitate the opponent. May allah increase all brothers in knowledge and guidance.

The difference between Muslims and evangelists is that if a Muslim calls an evangelical show and says he took drugs and saw Jesus they will tell him u just received the truth and Jesus chose u. Whereas when the reverse happens and a caller to this show says he used drugs and believes in Islam he gets told dude don't do drugs cos that's silly and irrational

It doesn't matter if you really are following an absolutely perfect ideal. You aren't perfect, and can't follow it perfectly. The reality will always be less than the ideal. That was in response to what Power of Dawah said about your method being open to innovation. My point is that we're going to see that anyway, because of our own limitations as people.

EF Dawah I think it would be a good idea if you kept emphasising that this is a stream for non Muslims only and keep repeating every so often through the show. New people are joining your streams and maybe unaware of the format.

@Claire Khaw That’s one in a thousand and it’s logically reasonable seeing a new comer to the live stream, sees amazing brothers doing fantastic work, gets happy and think oh let me hop on and say slam, perfectly reasonable.
Seeing the amazing work the brothers do for the first time, reading instructions would be your last concern.
On the opposite hand: you could say Muslims are not like the sheep out there trained to follow

So today we learn that Secular Koranism is not actually what the Quran teaches, but an interpretation of the laws of the Quran according to Claire.

Second - It has been explained reasonably well by brothers Abbas, Imran and Hamza that your way of interpreting the Quran (according to your subjective understanding i.e. nature and nurture) is incorrect.
Thirdly - Islam does not teach us to cover ourselves in glory. Islam teaches the submission of our will to the will of the one true God, Allah. Glory does not matter.
@Claire Khaw In my opinion your fundamentals are flawed, hence why the panellists focussed on that instead of going over your interpretation. And as a layman observing the stream, I saw exactly where the issue of extremism are - you are forcing belief of Claire-ism onto a group of people who are unwilling to accept it. Can you tell me why that's not extremism?
As for your second point - we believe that the Quran is divine revelation sent to humanity via the Prophet (s.a.w.) hence he understood it better than anyone else. So it might be nonsensical to you since you have no understanding of what the Muslim perspective is, but to us it's completely logical and rational. Again this demonstrates that you do not understand the purpose of the Quran and simply cherry pick from it.
And if you feel that the Israelis would do a much better job with Claire-ism, please feel free to talk them into it =)

Entertaining discussion. I think that Secular Qur'anism is an oxymoron (in agreement with Dr Imran), as, if you remove God from the equation, The Qur'an would just be either a single persons or a group of individuals ideas and ideology on how a society should be run, which would be completely subjective and hold no more objective value than the next person and their subjective view on how society should be conducted. This is why we have to have objective morality and guidance from the one that created us. It's all there laid out for us in His Holy Books and the Abrahamic faith.
After a year and a half, how do Muslims still not understand the different stream formats/concepts on EFDAWAH that even the host/moderator explains at the beginning of each stream 🤦🏽

(1) The Quran describes the "exaltedness" or "highness" of Allah in different ways, as His being high and above, and by describing how things come down from Him, and go up to Him, and by stating that He is above heaven. For example (interpretations of the meaning):
(Highness):
"… and He is the Most High, the Most Great." [2:255]
"Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High." [87:1]
(Above):
"And He is the Irresistible, above His slaves …" [6:18]
"They fear their Lord above them, and they do what they are commanded." [16:50]
(Things coming down from Him):
"He arranges (every) affair from the heavens to the earth … " [32:5]
"Verily We: it is We Who have sent down the Dhikr (i.e., the Quran) …" [15:9]
(Things going up to Him):
"… To Him ascend (all) the goodly words, and the righteous deeds exalt it …" [35:10]
"The angels and the Rooh (Jibreel) ascend to Him …" [70:4]
(Allah is above heaven):
"Do you feel secure that He, Who is over the heaven, will not cause the earth to sink with you …?" [67:16]
(2) The Sunnah: Many reports were narrated "mutawatir" (i.e. with a large number of narrators at every stage of the isnad/chain, such that it is impossible for them all to have agreed on a lie) from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), describing his words and deeds and things of which he approved. For example, he used to say "Subhana Rabbi al-A’la (Glory be to my Lord Most High)" in sujood (prostration), and in some ahadeeth (reports) he is reported to have said "By Allah Who is above the Throne."
Among his deeds is the gesture of pointing up with his finger, when addressing the people in the greatest gathering, on the Day of ‘Arafah during his Farewell Pilgrimage. He asked the people, "Have I not conveyed the message?" and they said, "Yes!" He asked again, "Have I not conveyed the message?" and they said, "Yes!" He asked a third time, “Have I not conveyed the message?" and they said "Yes!" Each time, he said: "O Allah, bear witness!" - pointing up to the sky and then at the people. He also used to raise his hands towards heaven when he made du’a (supplication), as reported in many ahadeeth. This is proof via his actions that Allah is exalted and high.
@@Seanus32 The Quran and the sunnah is proof. It's information from someone that claims to have revelation from Allah. His companions and enemies say his is trust worthy person, before he received revelation. He did not have motivation to lie, nor was he insane.
This is not a game. It doesn't matter to me if you don't consider it proof. That's not my problem, but yours. You ask for proof and I gave it to you. Now it's up to you to assess this proof, to see if you consider it trust worthy or not. This is for you, not me. I'm already convinced that Muhammad pbuh is the slave and messager of Allah, and that there is none worthy of worship but Allah. That creation is not part of Allah in any Shape or form, but that it is the possession of Allah, which only exists because He wills it to.
Just to make it clear. Allah tells us that those who will reside in paradise will be able to see him as you can see the full moon. Following the understanding that Allah describes Himself to be unlike anything in creation, be it visible or not, be it imaginary or not, and that he is above the heavens, then it is impossible to say that creation is within him in any manner of speaking when it comes to the location of creation. Allah is as he describes Himself to be. If he says his in unlike anything(within creation) then he is unlike anything. If Allah say he amended above the heavens after the six day(as in period of time,not 24h day), then he is above the heavens. Anything meaning that goes against this is not accepted by Muslims.
Sorry if I came of as rude, but it needs to be understood that muslim are those who follow the prophet, and that to be Muslim one affirms that Allah is the only one worthy of worship, and that Muhammad pbuh is he slave and messager.

If you define the universe by what we can see, it is impossible because each heaven (sky,not paradise) is guarded by angels. And if you mean universe as all of the worlds( all seven heaven), then again no because there wouldn't be anywhere to go beyond in the first place.

No, when a Christian sins, God will chasten them and punish them on earth, and the chastening of God can be very severe at times, a sinning Christian can lose their health, they can lose their spiritual joy, they can lose rewards at the judgment seat, and they can even lose their life if they get to far into sin and to far out of fellowship with God. 1 Corinthians 11:28-32 talks about that.

The same way an Atheist raises their children as such, or a Christian does. All Parents want their Children to partake in their faith / hobby / whatever activity, and the children by nature will replicate and follow what their parents faith, mannerism, way of thinking. But there is a difference between telling children why they should partake and allowing them to chose if they want to and forcing them to partake.
