This game has me quite torn. On one hand, I really enjoy this game when I play even though I get demolished nine out of ten races. On the other, no exaggeration, *all* the UA-cam content is either critical towards or highlights the hectic nature of the game as a frustrating or negative experience. Meanwhile, in-game, it's just 'skill issue, this is a skill based kart racer' lel. It's rather polarizing but I feel like both sides have some truth to them.

It is literally just a skill issue sorry lol, whoever plays best wins in online races, grind out the single player gps and learn the tracks

don't feel bad, dramatic comebacks don't happen against human players since 90% of every server is just in a frontrunning clump
game is fun but it does feel like that kind of game where "Everyone who wasn't instantly good at it immediately dropped it forever"

How are you getting all these models in 3D?
In advanced video, if you change to LegacyGL you get models instead of sprites. Game takes longer to load on average, but races tend to go smoothely.

I joined a modded server in half of these and the mods get downloaded to my computer
I keep seeing RR videos where the main cast have 3D models, what's up with this?
In the Video settings you can change the renderer to LegacyGL. Besides making some maps have some slightly glitched visuals, it makes the main cast 3d and helps fight texture warping.
@@DukeofLeet oh huh, here I thought putting it on a setting considered "legacy" would be the sprite one
@@ivoryscratch6000 Nah its because the engine the game runs in is called "Doom Legacy" so its the "LegacyGL" mode. Gets kinda confusing.
I don't think I like the triangle map.
The triangle stares at you but says nothing.
