Real estate is a terrible investment for the next 5-10 years. The only reason a rational person would buy a house/condo is for a primary residence you plan to live in for 5+ years. I feel bad for anyone who owns a rental property.
How is building inexpensive homes a solution to affordability? Builders are in it for profit, not people. Housing was not affordable before the pandemic.... Am I just living in a different country than these guys?? We have working homeless living in tents because housing is out of reach.
can you not have this guy on again? anyone that says supply is the only solution to our housing market lost all credibility the moment they mention that
@@siddiqze alternatives less red tape, less low skilled immigration, less poor fiscal spending, less incentive real estate loopholes. We can both play that game.

It's a buyers market, condos 250k starting, in Toronto and only 5% down. No reason young generation can't afford, they just have to actually work
No one wants to live in a dog crate sized condo
@@taylorens2750alternatives are street, tent, parents house etc. That condo is a starting point by getting your foot in the door.

250k if you wanna live in the ghetto with a bunch of criminals and "new students"
Condos start around the $500,000 mark in Toronto and at least $400,000 in the GTA. In Markham where I live nothing is under half a million.
