- Recording:
Activate the metronome (optional): This will help you stay in time while recording.
Press and hold the "Record" button: Don't release it yet.
While holding "Record," press the track number button (1-16): This chooses which track you'll be recording on. You can record multiple tracks (instruments) for your song.
Start playing your part: As soon as you release the "Record" button, the DGX 670 begins recording your performance on the chosen track.
Press "Record" again to stop recording that track.
(Optional) Rewind the song using the double arrow button: This ensures you don't record over your previous section when adding more instruments.
Repeat steps 2-6 to record additional tracks: Choose a different track number and record your next instrument or vocal part.
Saving your song:
Press the "Song" button.
Press the "Function" button.
Use the data dial to select "Save Song."
The DGX will prompt you to save. Confirm with "Yes."
Tips:
You can use the "Listen" button to hear the playback of individual tracks or the entire song.
The DGX 670 allows you to overdub (record on top of existing tracks) and delete unwanted recordings.

I needed this so badly. Thanks.
My pleasure! Cheers!
I'll have to watch this later, but maybe this is the video I need.
Just let me know which area to hammer on for you George! I will make it happen.
Phil, I just purchased the DGX 670 in part due to your tutorials. I spent 4 hours working on the board up in the Pittsburgh Guitar Center with your tutorial on creating original styles as my guide. It's still in the box in my home studio, but I am massively excited about the potential this thing has. It goes so deep. I am blown away that the board is only $850. And it integrates so well with DAWs. Now my P-125 is the dedicated band keyboard. Just wanted to send you a super thanks for your videos. They're tremendous.
THANKS FOR THE SUPER Brent! I am ecstatic you got your DGX as a result of these videos! That's awesome news! Those things are incredibly powerful for the price, and it sounds like you had a productive session at Pittsburgh Guitar Center with my tutorial. Four hours diving into creating original styles is a great way to start exploring its potential. There is SO MUCH to do in this machine and the DGX-670 goes deep, for sure, but with those tutorials, you'll be unlocking its secrets in no time. DAW integration is indeed a huge plus! Do share your future work as it evolves!
Recording, each part will be recorded to the following channels.
• Keyboard parts: channels 1 - 3 (Main: channel 1, Left: channel 2, Layer: channel 3) • Style parts: channels 9 - 16
Even this statement is slightly confusing, by left, I presume you mean the left side of a split keyboard.
Yes
The recording for styles is different. Channel 1 and 2 is for rhythm.
I wish I could still figure it out😭
Just follow step by step. I may have a second video on this. Don't lose hope 🙏
