@Hammerback0 a tornado watch and a tornado warming are two different things. A tornado watch simply means conditions are favorable for a tornado to form. A tornado warning means there is an actual tornado in your area. But yeah, I agree I think they'll be fine.

I'm in St. Petersburg, Fl and it is 9:30 here right now. The radar shows that the system is not quite abreast of us yet, but we are getting the rain bands coming up from the south. No wind much to speak of at this time, maybe 15-20mph with a bit higher gusts. The rain is only slight to moderate, like a summer rain. Kind of unremarkable right now, even though the radar shows a mess.
Yes I have noticed that many times as well...Radar makes it look SEVERE...yet when I am in it I am like - this is barely a thunder storm...but we shall see...I hope we get a good soaking we need it in NE Florida

I saw the system below this hurricane that is pushing it north. Then on our East coast, we have a huge high pressure system that is going to keep it on land. I think it's going to go directly north, up towards West Virginia. I've been in several hurricanes in Florida and North Carolina, as well as Okinawa. Those made me a big weather watcher.

This doesn't look very serious to me, mainly because to the serious hurricanes are the ones the sit out before they make landfall. This one is almost certain to hit central by the conflicting pressure system. Yeah, it's still a threat, but not a Katrina or anything.

Same track as Idalia but will be lower intensity so wind and surge less than Idalia as currently forecasted. This area of FL thankfully a lower population density area.
