TAD makes great speakers, but no one makes the best speaker because no such thing exists. Appreciation of sound reproduction is subjective and we all have different preferences. For there to be a “best” speaker, we would all have to agree on what sound reproduction is best and we don’t all agree.
With All due respect, but it depends at what sound pressure levels. TAD flagship is rated at 115dB maximum. While zeta zero orbitals >130dB. And they have lighter ribbon membranes for tweeters than TADs beryllium.
@@quant2011 I’m talking about classic piston movement speakers only, comparison must be made with same technology. I absolutely agree that there are other technologies that go beyond the piston. 115dB is symphonic orchestra playing fortissimo, yet not enough for cinema use. Zeta zero is an omnidirectional ribbon. Other word with other advantages and other problems. Zeta Zero are anyway technically a marvel! I wish l could listen to them.
Maybe the best in craftsmanship! but that doesn't make them sounding the best!!! To sound something the best it requires so much much more than the best engineering. And dont forget that in 2024 the speakers are still the weakest link in the Hi Fi / High End chain.
@@dejandavkov Of course, but having the best drivers that outperform any other driver (with same technology and application) is already an important sonic advantage compared to whom does not have it. To do good cabinets is in the hand of many and TAD is second to none…
@@tecsart I believe that TAD is one of the Best, but there is no proof that TAD has build the best drivers in the planet Earth. They use dynamic drivers. There are a lot of other types of drivers that have to be upgreated to sound like one of the best. Let's assume for now that TAD are number one and it is confirmed by independent company for quality and accuracy. And the next day some unknown company invents some audio invention that has no driver's, crossovers no cabinet no wires and it has 99% real sound. Thunderstorm when produces sound the sound isn't reproduced from drivers and amps. The technology we are using is old and it's only updating. No one can't prove that something is the best.
@@dejandavkov absolutely agree. My video makes only sense for most common hi-fi applications, using this old classic technology (piston) which is far to be perfect. Maybe I should make a video analyzing different technologies advantages and disadvantages: ribbon, plasma, exciters, AMTs, Manger MSW, electrostatic, planar, audio accompany, MBL radial…. No, no, too much! The same as you I am convinced that a general piston driver will sort out very bad in this kind of comparison. Probably and exceptionally TAD and very few others will have some good points to show. At the moment there are only few systems using alternative technologies that can fit easily and without discussions in an average family living room. Personally I love also Manger MSW. But just because they are different, they are only for those people that listen objectively without prejudgments.
Very good explanation of how speakers work as far as the driver goes. I enjoyed it immensely.
nice turntable! what brand and model are they?

@@tecsart Thank You my friend. was there a review of the turntable
@@ishakatan8015 not yet. It is a good idea, that turntable is really special.
Great innovations, but I still do prefer TAD high efficiency drivers with low wattage amps..
@@nicktube3904 TAD pro drivers… YESSSS!!!!
Some références are still in production.
No magnet, open field coil Songer Audio 😊
