R.I.P. Line 3 Farewell Scarborough Rapid Transit March 1985 - July 2023 Hip hip hooray!! Hip hip hooray! All stations on Line 3 are permanently closed except for Kennedy Station which is still served by the subway on Line 2. I always remember riding this for free when I was a kid but the trip was pretty short since they were only 6 stations on the line which ran from Kennedy to McCowan Station.
Three cheers for Scarborough RT!!! Hip hip hooray!!! Hip hip hooray!!! Wasn't able to attend the farewell party, but at least I rode it a few times before it closed.
What will happen to these RT stations? Will Lawrence and Scarborough Centre be renovated for the new subway? What will happen to Midland, Ellesmere, McCowan?
Lawrence East will be moved to a new station, probably on McCowan or Midland. Scarborough Centre will have a new platform for Line 2, with the Line 3 platforms likely to be demolished. And I think we've seen the last of the other stations.
I was there the first day 38 years ago in March. I remember as a kid in 1985 how people were saying that they were on the first subway ride, and I thought that was a long time ago, when it was really only 31 years before that.
Happy trails to you, Until we meet again. Happy trails to you, Keep smiling until then. Who cares about the clouds when we're together? Just sing a song, and bring the sunny weather. Happy trails to you, Until we meet again.
we will never forget the Scarbrough RT and its years of service, it will always remain as a great memory for us in the TTC
Farewell Line 3 Scarborough. We will be missed.

So some station will be here and some station will be delete

They’ll be torn down. Scarborough Centre is being moved a bit east of its current site, and will be located near what was McCowan.
@@SRBAnimate Thanks! What will happen to the old Scarborough Centre station?

It's sad to see these trains go. This line deserved better than this ... RIP Line 3 Scarborough RT and its trains.
What uses will they be used in the future?
@@Kardin900 If you haven't heard already, most of these cars (if not all) are going to Detroit, MI to run the Detroit People Mover.
An absolute tragedy 😢
I was actually there for the train departures, you could see me! I was panicking at one point cuz my phone was about to die lol
