    You’re helping a ton of little leaguers with your content! If you made a series of videos for 7-12 year olds just developing their swing, I’d buy it in a second.

      @@workstudy we actually have a detailed hitting course that many 7-12 year olds have already purchased! It includes a step by step guide on the swing we teach, a full library of drills and a free hitting program. It’s a one time buy, no subscription. You can find it here: go.optimalpowerperformance.com/landing-page139544

    Solid gold once again, we definitely started working on hlp and got some bat speed and it was amazing but the pops and chops are all over the place. Trying to get the ball up off the ground and I see now where a little extra work keeping behind the back leg helps the swing become more vertical. Awesome we'll be working on the tea with some of your pointers here to further refine.

    Aj proving once more his HLP content is unmatched. One question is do you ever coach posture? I’ve seen some videos elsewhere talking about getting into good posture but I wonder if that’s not a reach if one is coiling on one leg correctly.

    I’ve been working on HLP for a handful of months now and I’m continually trying to find the balance with the front foot. Does it act like any kind of a block to finish the swing? I find I easily spin off the ball when I’m trying to stay coiled so firmly.

    • @povertygarage705
      @povertygarage705 Місяць тому

      @theswingman2hit A lot of people say that nobody supinates the wrist until they watch slow motion footage and see the short few frames where the back of the top hand is actually facing the ball just before contact and right before it articulates into knuckles towards ball into impact. Also, what does "get to 50/50" mean? It's less about where they get to and more about where the swing is launched from. I can tell you this, nobody that is good launches the swing from a forward center of gravity. Not even a 50/50. The swing will thrust weight into the front foot but it came from the back. Similar to pitching. How balanced the weight is between feet after the ball has been hit is less important. I will agree that many great hitters have had a more vertical spine angle (as viewed from the side) during the swing, but they still started with a rearward COG at launch.
