    Breaking an unclear rule shouldn't result in a ban. The ref's should have kept a public briefing after the game and made the rule clear where the border is. Nothing more than that.

      also let's be honest: that drop was steep as fuck while also apparently being an outside zone accordin to the owners, there was absolutely no reason as to whyy they shouldn't have put tape or something like that around it, except in 2 cases:
      1: the area wasn't actually off-limits
      2: they fully known novritsch would have done it and someday post it on his channel, basically, they were just waiting to catch him cheating, by never telling him that he cheated(apparently this isn't the first time novritsch did this, but there is no source that said they ever spoke to nov about this matter, whihch only makes matters worse for the reputation of the field)

      why can't they ban you for a certain period. The 1st time a month, 2nd time 6 months and 3rd time your done? They made it public to try and get more people to come to play there! You should open an area next to there's to see where people play at more.

    Banning someone over a single offense I agree is simply absurd. Especially over something as light as stepping out of bounds. We made a video recently regarding cheaters, and we discussed that you shouldn't just jump to conclusions and assume that someone cheated. They, like Novritch, could just simply not be aware of all the details of the rule set. I feel that this has less to do with the fact that he "Broke the rules" but is more of a political statement. Either way, this facility clearly jumped to conclusions far too quickly.

    They definitely took this way out of proportions... Not only was the rule not specific enough but then they ban you for their mistake of not being clear?? thats ridiculous... They should have just pulled you aside and said "Hey, that area is out of bounds, please do not go down there again" and it would have been totally fine.

      cheating for fame and clicks .... he get payed for clicks ....
      Spoken rules are same clear as written rules ,...

      If the park owners want to crack down on cheaters, then it's on them to create specific rules and regulations. They need to train their employees to actually dictate the correct rules, otherwise more things like this will happen.

      there's a very easy fix for that!
      you take a €5 roll of tape, you tape off the border that you as the field owner have failed to do in the past.
      ....and you change your safety briefing and say: "the border is at the ledge! ...go past or down the ledge, means you exit the field... when high water in the river: touch the water = out the field"
      if you set up rules with multiple/ unclear interpretations, it is on YOU as the owner. not the player

    • @50shadesofcerakote
      @50shadesofcerakote 8 років тому +5

      dont even need tape, spray paint even. dont know if they have special regulations for compressed cans in eastern europe but thats also an easy fix.

  • @justindortch4982

    Hate it for you Nov, but I don't think it the act of walking the line should have resulted in a ban being placed on your fireteam. I think it was the combined act of your team flanking the enemy stronghold/spawn point, and in thus doing so, profoundly fucking the enemy team in the ass. Then promptly after doing so. You and your fireteam all then camped/held position in a playable area, which you and others involved have been known to frequently work for kills and flanks in the past as seen in your other videos. Which then results in your fireteam raping them again on respawn, cause they let their guard down and didn't keep their heads on a swivel.
    After that long winded explanation of what happened tactically from what I watched, my verdict is that more than a few people were probably bitching about your team's combined tactics used and put the refs and field owner in a tight spot of adhering to the quelling of public sneer and smear(All speculation). Plus you add that youtube star factor, then whom better to make an example out of than the "airsoft sniper that everyone watches". I don't think it's a perma-ban, but clearly blown out of proportion and should have been handled in a more professional way than slapping it all over social media like they did.

    Getting banned is ridiculous. I work as a an airsoft marshall and if someone accidentally broke an easily breakable rule like this even if it twice, is no reason for a ban. ich sag auch nicht dass er unsympatisch ist. nur was du auf youtube nicht siehst sind z.b die Distanzen.

  • @Taylorkaraoke
    @Taylorkaraoke 8 років тому +14

    This is my personal feel about this matter; based on pure social behavior: Jeaulousy.
    A rules breaker bully is mostly an angry, unhappy person, this is not the case in my opinion, again, my 2 cents here.
    From what I've seen in his many many videos, I've felt that more are the people that cheer him than the ones that show apathy towards him; friends or enemies. Another thing I enjoy; he is passionate about this sport, plays it and has made his job out of it. he's put serious amount of time, effort; energy and money into what he does, and he enjoys doing it, and I enjoy watching what he does how he does it. He plays agressively, sometimes he wins, sometimes he loses and he seems to be a good loser too.
    I can understand that his way of being, and acting, attracts some and upsets others, also the fact that what he did this time borders violations and eases the way to the ban, but as someone said, this smells frustration from the oponent side because he did what he did, and put the whole game upside down. Because everyone had a different idea about how the day was going to unfold, and this pissed them off completely.
    Another thing; at times he's had to shoot people 2 or 3 times before they call the HIT, and he has not even mentioned the word cheater, always says, first: he didn't feel it... He does what he does, he's good at it, he's become popular, traveled the world, and is making money out of something that for the other 99% of the guys and girls on this field including the owners remains a game, a fun one, but a game. He Snipes, so he frustrates the guys with the assault rifles, and the SMGs, because sometimes they don't even get to shoot their gun not even once before they are hit; so yeah.
    , it's not that I don't believe the accusations, or that I would put my hand in the fire for him; I don't know the guy, but this is a game, and it should remain a fun one. Maybe you'll feel better now they don't play there anymore because you can go airsofting in a more calm way, the way it suits your skills and mentality the best; enjoy I would say. In the end it is not about What happened, but about How did it happen; and the problem is not the mistake, the problem is what one does after having made a mistake; and this is someone asuming the situation and regretting the consequences...
    Immature jeaulousy, which is normal, given the age of most of them, and the times we're living in.... Even when he'd have committed a serious code violation (in my opinion this isn't one) this should have been treated in the privacy of the club.
    with that said, have a nice day

    What should've happened is the owners of the field should make a map with the border on it with notes on it about the exact places that are the boundary for example is it the river or the wall for where they "cheated" and inform the people who brief the people who play on the field so this doesn't happen again. Novritsch and the other people who were banned should've told them somehow that that is out of bounds and next time you break this rule you will be banned. I believe this is very fair do you guys agree with me?

  • @FattBoi94
    @FattBoi94 8 років тому +5

    A short-term ban should have been acceptable, but to ban them outright, ins't the right way to go about it. Even if you watched the video, you can tell that they have no idea if it legal or not. He actually says it in the video. And the owner of the park banned Novritsch and his team for the fact that Novritsch is a well known player and youtuber and has a massive fan base. The owner was really sending a message to everyone else that plays there that no matter who you are, rules are rules and you will get banned. But be a man and talk to them about it. Like I said yo can clearly tell that this was an accident, should they be punished yes, but not banned, because in the long run, its going to effect the owner and his business.

  • @FA-fo4qh

    If they choose to ban you, that's their fault. The teams border in any field I've seen is always clearly marked by either brightly colored spray paint, or by some other variation of bright colorful marking. Not "Oh hey guys don't cross the river that's the border" Plus every field I've seen has at least one ref watching the border to make sure nobody makes this mistake.

    If breaking the rules in form of leaving the AO is so bad, why they havent built a border? If i understand this correctly, there is just a quick briefing in the beginning of the match. You dont get/see a map where the borders are clearly defined. Why cant they just give Novritsch a warning or even a fine (yeah for a fine it should be written in there contracs or terms of service, whitch makes it difficult)

    He was banned because the owner of the field has to cater to his customers who are the majority. If there was an outcry to give Novritsch the boot then what option does the owner have? It was a business decision and had nothing to do with ethics. You have to do what the majority wants or you lose business and get a bad reputation. This is unfortunatley one of the prices you pay for being a high profile player. If you watch the original video there was clearly a question about where the boundary was. If there was a question I would have chosen the more conservative option and would have NOT climbed down a 2 meter wall. If I did not encounter any resistance after I climbed down that 2 meter wall I would be asking myself if I had crossed the boundary line just like his teammate did in the video. Should be be banned? NO. Should they have been penalized? YES. Novritsch knew damn well he crossed a demarcation line and its obvious in the video. Humble yourself, admit your mistake, apologize and move on.

    If the rules say "The river is the game area border" then the river IS the border. Walking along the border (a.k.a, along the river) is not a rule violation. The same way shooting someone from 10 meters away when the restriction is 10 meters is not a rule violation.
    The same as having a gun that shoots 300 FPS with a 300 FPS limitation is not a rule violation.
    I could go on...
    But essentially, they should lift the ban if they haven't already. And then re-word the rule stating that the near side river BANK is the game border. That as soon as you touch the river, you are out of bounds.
    Then they should try a little bit of humility for a change and unfuck themselves.

    I watched the video that got you banned from the game area, and I will say that your play style was different. You didn't break the rules of the map, but you did sneak round to spawn-kill people, which I don't think is in the spirt of the game. You play very well, you don't need to resort to those tactics to make great videos.

      Yeah and that time they made a proper response and talked to him directly (not making it a public mess) and he was told that it was wrong and then he didn't do it again showing that he did not know at first that he crossed the border and that it was not his intention to cheat or leave the game area. If it is truly because of this one instance that he got banned then it is a ridiculous over-reaction to what he did. If there is more to the story then it is still ridiculous that they would make it public to ban him, this is something that is done directly, not out in the open to effectively try to publicly shame him.

    Great vid Novritsch! My own philosophy... When we fuck up, hand up, accept! I expect the pr temptation was too great for someone else to resist and the field most likely felt they had to respond. I agree a private conversation and perhaps a joint vid statement would have been appropriate. Hope it does all get sorted and standing up for chris & Fabio is the right call. Fields should be clear on their rules so there's no misunderstandings - I play at RIFT Airsoft based around Hertfordshire just north of London, England and Tony's briefs are precise every time. Chin up Novritsch, it will work out, it may take some time but the solution to almost every problem is the same as radiation leaks; Time - Distance - Shielding!

    To my way of thinking, if there's a misunderstanding of this nature, the onus is on the field to clarify that with the player. Looking at the player's history of behavior would also factor in. Banning for the first offense in quite a while seems like overkill. To publicly call you out as a cheater is just a personal attack unless you've got numerous cases of hard evidence to back it up. Things like this are why I stopped playing paintball in my area. Power tripping owners who had no problem making personal attacks. What a bummer.

    Sounds like some people are jealous. Trying to ruin what you have worked so hard to build for yourself. You are a true entrepreneur! You channeled yourself through UA-cam and became something bigger playing a very unknown sport.
    It's a shame people try and take that away...

    I stand by you NOVRITSCH. I have watched many of your airsoft gameplay videos and vlogs, and I have loved every single one of them. You are extremely inspirational to me with all of your tactics and ideas/strategies. I also agree with you that this was a large overreaction. They should have made it much more clear that you are not allowed to go down that wall.
