The MOST mentioned prophet in the Quran :) It's now one of my favourite movies of all time.
MINI REVIEW: I was captivated by the storytelling of one of the most beloved prophets in all three monotheistic religions and was quite surprised of how dark some of the scenes were considering that this movie was probably geared more towards children but it was hella dark at times when they revealed those poor babies being thrown into the sea of crocs and the bloody red sea caused by the power of God. Wow. What an epic tale of such polarising events. It starts off with Yocheved being forced to leave behind her baby son Moses as the Pharaoh was killing off all of the Jewish babies at the time and then for that baby to be accepted as an adopted son by the Pharaoh family is so bizarre to me but okay...
It honestly made me feel sad seeing Moses and Ramses actually being very close brothers and then having to turn into enemies because Ramses couldn't feel any compassion or reason that what he was doing was wrong even after several plagues caused death and destruction. That honestly was quite heartbreaking and frustrating how stubborn he was but it also just goes to show how arrogant and morally corrupt the Pharaohs were.
As expected, I loved the soundtrack that was featured and really loved the movie version of 'When you believe' as well. Some really lovely singing voices and harmonies. I was also impressed by the animation especially when Moses split the Red Sea, that was quite breathtaking of a scene.

Apologies for the long intro and for butchering your ears lmao. Btw, I said the fun fact at around 11:00 of this and I based it on what the Prophet Musa book said which is that Moses is mentioned 124 times in the Quran but then I check Google and it says it's 136 times so either way, he is by far the most mentioned prophet in the Quran. Just as an FYI :)
After Rameses gets scolded, Moses is whistling the lullaby of his mother while sewing that bag while Rameses is sat on the statue.
Elders from Muslim, Christian and Jewish faiths all praised this film. That's the power of this version😊

Not shaming anyone when asking this because I am not Muslim but I want to ask what is your response to those who say that watching films that depict prophets* is an issue?

Ooh I just read your edited comment. I was also a bit confused as there doesn't seem to be any Muslim backlash on this film despite it showing Prophet Moses and Prophet Aaron. Generally speaking, we are against depictions of ALL prophets but the most disrespectful thing would be if someone was to depict Prophet Muhammad because he is the one that we follow the most. We see Jesus (and even Moses) everywhere we go: in Churches, figurines, cartoons and in movies so we've become used to it. We're against it but we can do nothing about it as that's what the Christians like to do.

The bible and torah are the same. The first 5 books of the bible is the torah. The quran is the one thats different.
