I installed a near identical bidet hose unit in my bathroom but for comfort and safety I added a thermostatic blending valve set to 39 centigrade. No surprises!!
By-the-way, you're winding your thread sealant/PTFE in the wrong direction. With the fitting in your left hand it should go on clockwise or from the top away from you. Otherwise great job.

I had the crimp system done on my renovation apartment in Lagos PT eighteen years ago, and made the mistake of having it all tiled over because it was all leak tested and proved. several years latter damp patches appeared on adjacent walls. Happily insurance covered the repair. I think the process has improved over time. On repairing those cracked limestone tiles, save the swarf dust ( or make some from a random bit of tile) and push it into the cracks and then carefully apply CA glue (super glue) to the crack, it'll set up good.

Like you I don't like exposed plumbing so we have used concealed cisterns with our toilets, hidden behind a false wall with a removable shelf on top for easy access for maintenance. The back of the loo fits flat to the false wall. The toilet pan is fixed to the floor with silicone and does not move. Great job guys.❤

One tip about drilling the stone that’s worked for me in the past is to sharpen the masonry drills just a couple of touches on a grinder is enough they don’t have to be fancy you just need to the hardened steel to be sharp at the end when your not using the hammer drill 😊👍

I purchased a bidet seat from Amazone and since I don't have somewhere close to the toilet to plug in to get hot water, I got the one that only shoots cold water. At first I found it very cold (canadian Winters, you know) but I got used to it and hate to go to other toilets now.
It was really easy to install and I don't have to deal with a hose.
I made my own wipes out of facechoths I purchased on line as well, which I cut in 3 and sewed with the zizzag stich. I bought a pack of 36 and cut most of them into wipes. So I have plenty. I do still keep toilet paper on hand for weary visitors, lol.

Well done you chaps.I believe installing a bidet is very tricky and if not managed correctly will end up being used as a place to toss your towel or discarded clothing in. In the house we bought years ago it happened that way for us due to pressurized water coming out of places other than the proper one when used. Your private parts remarks reminded me of me old Dad ,father of four daughters who referred to that area of the body as the undercarriage .The upper torso was one’s superstructure. ❤

Please bear in mind that although you have a "bum gun", you will still need toilet paper to dry yourself afterwards, unless you're just going to "drip dry"! hahaha. I live in Dubai, and they are in every bathroom here, but I still can't get myself to use one, as the thought of spraying faeces all over my bathroom is just something I can't bring myself to do! I just use mine to clean the toilet! Good luck with it though 😆

Personall, I'd use adhesive to fix the toilet down. It will be far,far more than adequate and there is no chance of piercing any pipework, heating mats or compromising damp-proofing. CT-1 or Sikaflex etc., will render any toilet absolutely bomb proof and ensure that the substrate is undamaged should the pan ever need to be changed for another model.

I did not get all of that blumbing-order. We have here in Nordic "always" sink on reach of toilet-seat, so when there an mix of suitable water temp with other hand done, and then grab the bidet hose like as "Oras Stela 4807F Bidetta", wich have the actuator; trigger to let the ordered temp and volume water to come from there. So it is the same blumbing for both, as the bidet hose comes from the sink taps sideway outlet or whatever it is in english.

Understand your desire for a bidet pump with a fosse but here in rural France for over 15 years using a fosse, we have never had a problem using fosse-friendly toilet paper from intermarché. Never suffered any suggestion of a blockage and as this is your ground floor facility - likely to be used by guests - will you provide paper nonetheless as some may be uncomfortable or unfamiliar with the process? Certainly UK style cushion comfort 3ply is a big no-no and should be confiscated from guests at the door 🙂

I must admit, to my shame, I work with some wonderful young, newly qualified MBA students from India and I thought they all used a 'squatter hole' and a constantly running tap with poop everywhere and a most horrendous smell .... or 'long drop' toilets, or the fields... Obviously I'm an idiot, because these pretty young things (middle class?) use a bum gun very similar to yours.
Except I couldn't remember the name you gave it so I told them British/Australian UA-camrs call them 'Mud guns' and had to explain why I thought that was right ...

Different people do different things .. drip dry (subject to weather and what you’re wearing), toilet paper (which kinda defeats one of the purposes of having a bidet in my opinion), or a small towel. We’ll be going for the towel option (probably crocheted with cotton, easy to throw in the wash)
