I play this song by REN, every day. It motivates me to live, move and to love myself. When I first heard this song I was very emotional but today it’s a positive message to me to keep “dancing”….
I think the unique thing about Ren is that he has a way of communicating and getting through to an audience. You can personally relate because of your own experiences but at the same time, people fortunate enough to not have experiences similar to this can also have a clearer understanding of it because of how Ren serves it up to us. It's fascinating.
Ren is just special. Knowing that whatever you check out from his back catalog will be quality is just madness. But that’s the way it is with this man. And a lot of his music was made in small windows of clarity and relief from his struggles. Imagine what he will be able to do if the current treatment gets him to a place of mostly good days?
How privileged are we? To be a part of this revolution in empathic music, it's on point, intelligent, engaging .. so uniquely Ren and yet so fucking universal ❤
Great reaction. Listening to Ren is like getting an education in real life, empathy, sympathy and how much people can get through if they don't give up and keep trying to enjoy life whenever possible. And you always do his music justice with your reactions. Keep it up! And more Ren, please
Glad you are starting to get on top of your heart issues and having things properly investigated. It's so important to talk about this stuff as so many people get it dismissed as anxiety.
Thanks Cliff. Understanding Rens journey makes his body of work even more emotive and extraordinary. Ive never seen or heard anyone like him. Big love to all of you ❤️
This track is one that sticks in my head …. heartbreaking lyrics to beautiful piano. Thanks again for a great reaction as always. So glad you persisted in getting your heart issue’s investigated. Take care Cliff. 🔥
Ever since being introduced to Ren, there hasn't been a song I heard that I didn't like. At this point in my Ren journey, every song from him is golden and 🔥🔥🔥
What amazes me with this and a few of his other tracks is that he manages to write something so Heartbreaking when you pay attention to the words but the track itself is upbeat sing-along that a non English speaker or child would think it's a really happy song - he manages, even in his angst to find the upbeat in the misery, the light in the darkness. I felt your resentment and anger there at how you'd been fobbed off for so long too that it was all in your mind. From all the comments I see regarding Ren's music this is not a rare occurrence and the medical profession really need to stop taking the lazy approach and Listen to the patients who Know their own bodies best. On a much much smaller scale I kept being told i was just having panic attacks when i said i kept suddenly gasping for air, it would even wake me in the night. I was happy and easy-going at the time so I knew it was physical not mental. Turned out, eventually when i ticked All the boxes on a blood test slip, not just the 2 Doctor had ticked, I was severely anaemic and so my body was not getting the oxygen it needed.
Enjoyed this, thank you so much. Your own story was rough; I could see your hurt and anger and it was humbling to share it with you - very emotional. 🙏 💕 ❤
❤❤Thank you! Once again, REN Kills it. ... . Lyrically, vocally ,,and relateabilty. I feel ya', PRE Matue Arterial Tachicardia got me doing cardio rate consistently = anxiety 😮 along with PTSD,Depression, Adhd,Autoimmune Def.
I’ve played this song today several, several times! Idk why I’m sharing that here but it’s nice to see someone else/others appreciate this music and Ren. I appreciate you too brother 🥹🥰🫂.
Top of the Pops was a chart relative TV show in the UK, where singers and groups performed their songs live (or not) every week. Think it was on air from the 80's/90's up until 2000's. It was regular family viewing until UA-cam took over and made it obsolete. Just thought I'd help with the reference lol.
loving the Ren content, he deserves every bit of the love hes getting for his music, guys 1 in a million, check out crucify your culture, dear god & penitence, 3 of my favorite's
I love this song 🥹❣️ I connect with it deeply and also feel for you and Ren having dealt with health issues, albeit not the exact same things. I’m hoping to finally get a proper assessment/diagnosis so I can make the most of my life. I appreciate you sharing this❣️🥰
5:15 I just listened to this and want to say I sympathize with your med. problem. I have had atrial-fib for about twenty years and have now had 5 ablation surgeries and a pace maker surgery. Unfortunately none of these has helped and I eventually had to quit work because of it. That being said for about 65% of recipients of this surgery have great success, wish you luck in your quest for better health.
HOLY FUCK.... SVT... i feel you! I have/had it.... SAME THING ... i had an ablation done about 5 years ago... I'm 50 now! no one ever thought it was a big deal and i just had to deal with it. Some people thought it was just in my head (my Dad) and doctors always told me there was nothing really wrong with me. I live in Canada, so my procedure was covered, I CAN''T imagine what you must be going through. Ohmy god i so feel you. and yeah that medication that stops the heart is like a KICK in the chest.
You know I love how humble you are, and the fact you are actually going through the rabbit hole that is Ren. I’ve followed in that tunnel for years and im so glad to see the cue forming for this amazing artist! Much love ❤
Thanks for your content man. My wife is dealing with some issues that doctors can not figure out what is going on. They finally got something back with a test about an autoimmune disease but we do not know what yet if it’s actually that but she’s been dealing with losing weight and not being able to keep it on, dizzy spells and lots of pain. I feel so bad because there is nothing I can do to help and it’s costing me almost 500$ a month just for health insurance. Our government does nothing as according to them I make to much money for any sorts of help. You and Ren are both an inspiration in my life.
I think that you would truly enjoy listening to 15th Bend. He's an independent artist. Taught himself guitar during lockdown and if you're looking for a vibe. He's got one for you. ❤
Thank you Cliff, the side eye at beginning gets me every time, too cheeky 😅 Glad you finally got a diagnosis and now know what youre dealing with. I get your frustrations at constantly being told its anxiety. As i was diagnosed at 4 with a & d, im always told its that whatever my symptoms may be. Right old palaver sorting out HRT cos they would just put it down to my mental health, which i might add never turned me into a volcano in the night 😂
Hey Cliff, we have walked a similar path with the heart related issues. Was huge into my sport growing up then out of no where middle of a cross country run at school heart just gave up a bit. Turned out to be a right bundle branch blockage for myself but very similar symptoms to what you described. Heart rate getting 'stuck' above 200. Had this all kick off at 14, over 30 now. I was passing out from it so I was fortunate to be able to get the ablation (scary shit for a 14 year old. I have been lucky to have minimal issues since but I did have a loop wire recorder (internal halter monitor) installed for 2 years to keep an eye on it. I know you are always saying in your vids for people to reach out to you. If you need to ever chat about this stuff drop us a message, I have no answers but as someone been through the similar battle I am all ears.
That's so crazy you have these problems. Sucks. Some people expect more out of me because I can walk in spite of spina bifida. As a kid, I'd have once in a while hard shudder. A wife's tale is a possum walked over my grave. In high school until I was about 34 it progressively got to where I was having up to 30 a day. I had a EEG done with flashing lights added. They don't effect me. I didn't have a shutter while on it, so I didn't think they would see anything wrong. But they seen it and I was put on meds. Some days I don't have any. Most days, I'll have about 5 or less. My bio dad doesn't believe I have seizures because they're not the severe ones. That's the only one he thinks is a seizure. I have the myoclonic type of seizure. A hiccup is a myoclonic shock.
My son was born with SVT. It ended up being a syndrome called Wolf Parkinson’s White. And it’s totally treatable with medication (sotolol and djoxin) or ablation. It’s scary tho, and I’m so sorry you are going through that

Hey man I'm getting the same thing since covid. My heart rate goes to over 200 from 20 seconds to an hour. The hospital caught it once and said it was anxiety 242 beats per minute. So my question is how do you deal with it? Please if you can manage it please let me know 🙏

Just because people can't SEE something happening doesn't mean that you aren't being put through hell...and people love to mock things that they don't understand. I'm sorry you have experienced that kind of treatment/lack of concern for what you were experiencing.

This one hit me diferent, Ren really pours his soul into every song, he’s so honest with his music it just touches your heart
I love how Ren makes songs that are so deceptively upbeat, and then punches you in the gut with the lyrics.
He just puts how it feels into words so well.
SVT is no joke, hope you have it all figured out now. Much love and as always thanks for supporting REN🎉❤
If you didn't know Top of the Pops was a UK TV show which had performances from popular and current artists. Not on TV anymore tho

That's so crazy you have these problems. Sucks. Some people expect more out of me because I can walk in spite of spina bifida. As a kid, I'd have once in a while hard shudder. They don't effect me. I didn't have a shutter while on it, so I didn't think they would see anything wrong. But they seen it and I was put on meds. Some days I don't have any. That's crazy. They still know so little about seizures you'd think they'd take it more serious.

I knew it!!!! I fucking knew it!!! I see it in every reaction to ren you do! But you have never said it!
You fight showing that vulnerability. Almost to a fault. Because it's so obvious it seemed fake.
But I fucking knew it wasn't.
I was born with a skill for seeing the walking sorrow.
I saw it in you. But I started to doubt myself.
Then you tapped on your chest and that pain hit me.
I was born with a heart murmur. As a kid I had to be careful. I couldn't play sports. Couldn't play horse with my friends.
My doctor told my mom I could finally play sports. I started with soccer. It went great until the first game.
I got kicked in the chest and my heart stopped. I was dead for 3 minutes. My coach was doing chest compressions when I woke up.
Half a decade later it healed and I ended up getting a scholarship for racing snowboards for my high-school and being MVP on my football team for 4 years.
But I never lost that gut feeling. Seeing people that just stood out to me. You're one of them.
Brother let it out. Don't fight feeling.
You asked your viewers if they wanted a video of you talking about your panic attacks.
I have a better idea.
Film your panic attack. Talk to the camera. Talk it out and talk out your triggers and coping skills.
Bruh it will help more than you know

Hey man I'm getting the same thing since covid. My heart rate goes to over 200 from 20 seconds to an hour. The hospital caught it once and said it was anxiety 242 beats per minute. So my question is how do you deal with it? Please if you can manage it please let me know 🙏
I’d go to a regular doctor and get a referral to a cardiologist. Do what I did and wear a Holter monitor for 30 days so they can track it for you.
While nowhere near as serious, I don't think, I'm Autistic and people make light of sensory overload episodes...so I'm very familiar with having something medically wrong and people not taking it seriously. When I'm experiencing sensory overload, my heartrate goes through the roof (recently I had an episode where I was standing still and my HR was 144 because I had just walked into a meeting at work where they were blaring music...it instantly caused me severe pain and skyrocketed my HR as my sympathetic nervous system kicked in. It's scary when it is happening to you.)
Just because people can't SEE something happening doesn't mean that you aren't being put through hell...and people love to mock things that they don't understand. I'm sorry you have experienced that kind of treatment/lack of concern for what you were experiencing.
